Can this time be different?

Wants it Gone!
Hello everyone.. I've been doing different diets for the last number of years and each time I start I think this time it'll be different, but sadly something happens and I slip back to my old routine... Eating badly and no exercise.

In brief I have done lipotrim twice, lipotrim maintenance, juice diets etc and now I'm going to try Nupo foods which is something that my boyfriend suggested I do. He knows I'm unhappy with my weight even though he doesn't care whether I'm a skinny malink or a hungry hippo, my happiness is more important to him. I think this encouragement may help me this time because I never got that before in my previous relationship, quite the opposite in fact.

anyway... When I was first did lipotrim I joined this site and found it so helpful and definitely got me through the difficult times. I just hope that I will find the support from it again like I did before.

so my question to you all is, will this time be different for us all? For me I really do hope so :)

I'm afraid I don't know anything about any of those diets. But I believe you need to think carefully about what happens that makes you fall off the wagon all the time. Then you need to have a strategy for how you are going to stop it happening this time. Albert Einstein once said that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome. Unless you have a plan you are likely to fail again sorry - that danger time will strike and because you haven't thought about how to handle it then you will revert to old habits just because its easier.

If you want it to be different, then only you can make it happen xx

I agree with above, and also the diets you have tried are quite extreme compared y too others. Would being able to eat food be easier for you to survive those difficult times and still socialise? Have no clue about the diet you said you are trying, but maybe it has supoort or tools with it you can use? Think about what makes you off plan and plan for those events. Good luck :)

Hi there thank you for the post and what you said is so true. I never had a contingency plan in place if I started to put afew unds on, or have a warning bell go off if I "suddenly" realised I had gone up to a weight I was not comfortable with. Definitely something I need to think about when I see the end goal in sight.. ?

Hey so lovely of you to reply to my thread. Yes definitely something I need to keep in mind as well as the losing the weight it's the triggers of what has made me put he weight back on each time. Just thinking about it now it can be a number of factors both good and not so good situations have made me put the weight on.

For me I think I need to start off with a very restrictive diet with not too many choices until I feel comfortable with a weight I'm at and then slowly become a little more flexible. It's at that flexible junction is where the dangers have arisen and I suppose it could have been a mixture of being too cocky and coming off it too quickly.

The diet I'm going to try is a relatively new diet from Denmark, again there has the restrictive component in it but is flexible when you need it to be. I'm going to give it a shot and see what happens

Good luck and dont feel disheartened if you make some little blips along the way. The trick is to start fresh the next day x
