Cheekychinchilla's food and stuff

Ended up walking the dogs. Got soaked walking Ellie but the rain stopped almost as soon as I'd taken Dave out  I picked then to walk them coz I'd just been out to the bunnies and it wasn't raining. Obviously missed that window!

We walked for 55mins and covered 2.75miles :) MapMyWALK 12 May 2013 18:38 in Liverpool, United Kingdom | MapMyRun

I really like that it measures elevation, pace, and calories per walk. I'm averaging around 20mins a mile at the moment. Quite happy with that, but would be good to be able to maybe get it down to 15. I so miss running!! :(

Hello! How are you doing? Sounds like things have been a bit up and down, hope you're having a good day. Just downloaded that MapMyWalk app, very exciting! I really want to start walking again, but keep getting out of breath as I'm still getting over that bloody bronchitis. So annoying! Xx

Well, the universe can go f*ck itself!!!

I got to work today to find out that a friend of mine's boyfriend has had a stroke while they were on holiday. He's in his 30's!!! :( Don't know how serious or anything, just know he's been in hospital. I was asked to cover her shift on Saturday, which of course I would do. But then realised much later on that it's my fake brother's birthday on Saturday and all the plans I'd made :( No way would I go back on saying I'd do the shift. But even though it's the early (8-6:30) I wouldn't be driving in to town so would have to go home first and get changed and get the bus in. Wouldn't get there till at least 8 and the table is booked for 4:30 :(

So I got home after a very hectic, tiring day at work, to find out that my nice auntie who my Mum went to stay with last week has been rushed to hospital with suspected bleeding on the brain  Mum's at my Nan's so I don't really know much about that either. She did text about an hour ago to say she was being taken for a scan-presuming an MRI.

Just :(

OddSock the app is really cool :) I got my weekly report before and it told me I'd walked 14.6 miles, over 4.9 hours, and burned 1028 Kcals last week. I do like the maps and gps and everything. My knees are killing me tho!!
I was going to walk the dogs tonight seen as it was so nice, but I just didn't have the energy. x

Tuesday: Another 11:30 - 8.

Lunch: Jacket spud. Tin of ravioli with added herbs & stuff with chunks of Quorn peppered steak slices, and cheese. Salad, pea shoots, beetroot, and dressing. (half HexA2 + 2)

Break: A small apple and a peach.

Tea: 6 Quorn nuggets, Low Fat Supernoodles, cheese, tender stem broccoli, sweetcorn, cheese, and wholemeal bread. About 1/2 tsp each of mustard and tomato sauce, and a tbsp of extra light mayo. (HexA2, HexB2, 4)

Oh Tetris, I watched the Tree of Life last night. Dear Lord!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have you seen it? it took 'arty' to a whole new level of sh*t :p 2 and a half hours of my life I'll never get back.... x

Oh my! I've not seen it but it's on my iPad and I've been meaning to watch it for a while. Arty filmmakers tend to love it and everyone else hates it- I BET I'll hate it too! I hate slow, long arty films lol!

So sorry to hear about all the universe f*ckery today :( how is the guy doing who had the stroke? Hope he's OK... And your auntie? Keep us updated. *hugs* Really hope it all works out!

As for the Sat plans- you def need to still go! 8pm is still early enough to have dinner then drinks and goth clubs don't get going until quite late anyway, right? I hope you still make it and have a fab time, I want to get my boogie on soon too, but I'm too lazy :S and don't have the right friends for it who are in town

That map my walk thing looks cool! I liked having a nose at your route- cool that you live fairly close to water, do you go to the beach often? Or is it not really a beach?
My mum lives a 5 min walk from the sea- so jelly! I wish I'd grown up there.

x

Oh I'm so tired!! A hectic day at work and while the boss is away certain mice take the f*cking p*ss!!! A letter has been left for the head nurse for tomorrow morning explaining how us lowly VCA's were treated like personal scivvies today. That should be fun in time for the staff meeting ;) Half of me is glad I wont be going in till 4, but the other half of me kinda wants to see the fallout! But, we shall see. I wont go in to detail, I'm too bloody tired.

I don't really live near water Tetris. The River Mersey is a few miles away, but you can't really get to it round here. Some times I walk along the Otterspool Prom with my friend, but we are many, many feet higher than the water.
I think last year I went to the beach twice. It's a good 40min drive to a decent beach and I haven't attempted it in my car yet. Eeek!
The beach we do go to is the one my Dad used to live by. We'd take our old dog with us every weekend to stay with him :) It's a big park and Mariner attached to a HUGE beach :)

The Tree of Life was just booooring. Beautiful, but boring. Just Brad Pitt being a b8stard to his kids for two hrs ;)

I couldn't really do the night out. The table for drinks and food is booked for 4:30 and they're going the cinema straight after. And I don't feel like I can miss my brother's birthday yet still go out clubbing with my friend. You know? It wouldn't feel right. I feel guilty enough as it is for missing it. WHY it's booked so early is beyond me. Well, I know the reason, but it's a stupid ass reason ;)

Not much news about either person to be honest.
My friend's boyfriend has been moved to a stroke ward, but are both still in Edinburgh.

My Mum's home and has spoken to her Sister. She's had 2 CT scans and either has had or has planned a lumbar puncture (ick!) But they're yet to find what's going on and can't get decent imaging of a certain part behind her eyes  Worrying!! The plan is an MRI either this evening or tomorrow. So no idea what's going on really :(

Have had a nice, sort of junk food, tea and watching Hannibal on Sky Living. Might watch an ep of Breaking Bad after this with dessert to relax :)

No walking again today. Had to stop at Sainsbury's on the way home and then had an hour and a half update with Mum! So tired.... x

So sorry to hear about your sad news, I hope things look up for you. I'm glad to hear you're not sitting back and letting colleagues at work take the p***, no one should act like that no matter what their position is, if anything they should be leading by example.
The beaches in the north west have vastly improved since I was a kid, I love formby and the squirrel reserve there.
I'm watching Hannibal too, looks like it's going to be a good series :) x

Did you swear at the tv at the same point I did Tace?! Lol

Crosby beach is my closest. But yeah, I LOVE Formby and the squirrels :D It's so lovely there! Not been there for years. Should make it a day out some time I think :)

I hope we get some good news from both people soon. How very odd when stuff like this happens together?!

There are certain members of staff who are like that all the time. But even worse when the head nurse isn't around to keep tabs on them. I'll be the only person in tomorrow who was on this letter tho. Eeeep! I will no doubt have a short meeting ;) But you're right. People shouldn't treat other people like that. Doesn't cost much to treat other people with respect. I HATE how my grade are treated - like moron children. It's ridiculous!! Very class-ist, if you know what I mean? Most people are fine or there's just a hint of it. Some people don't even try to hide it! I love my job, I really do, but this is one thing that does make me think and drags us all down.

I'll let you know what happens tomorrow ;) x

The only way to deal with people like that is to stand up to them and do it every time they do it. I'm not a confrontational person but I will give as good as I get but in a calm reasonable manner. Fingers crossed someone will listen to you and sort it out.
I don't know about shout at the screen but I jumped out of my skin when that assumed dead mushroom covered person grabbed him
I've only been to Bridlington on this side of the pennines, I really wanted to go to Whitby, I think it's the goth in me lol.
I'm a firm believer that things happen for a reason and I think the bumps in life makes us better and stronger people. Hopefully the hospitals will have some answers for you, your family and friends soon x x

I'm not confrontational at all and terrible in these situations. But I'm glad I didn't do the things I was "ordered to", you know?

That was the bit I was talking about. That was done in a super cool way!! Think they got the Walking dead people in to do that?! ;)

I'd love to visit Whitby too!! I'm definitely an alternative girl, but never made it as far as Goth or Punk or anything lol.

Oh I dunno about the bumps making us better people. They certainly change you, but I don't know about them effecting us in a positive way. I still can't think back on my Dad's death and see any good from it :( It's so tough! Just fed up of everything being such a struggle. Constant illnesses, deaths, money worries, etc :(

But, anyway, it certainly does make us stronger :)

I've had my punk moments when I was younger, unfortunately I have to be quite conservative for the job I do now :S

I've had a ropey past and I lost my 11 year old nephew 4 years ago, really bad times :( But I do think I came out of it a different person, my outlook on life has changed and for the better I think. It makes you realise there are no rehearsals in life and you have to grasp it with both arms and make the most of it. It has also made me more considerate of other peoples problems and I try to help where I can because I truly believe in Karma as such :) x

Luckily my work seems quite open about stuff. I have 2 of my tattoo's on show every day and there are a lot of us with interestingly dyed hair lol. Not crazy hair though and not many piercings tho. But yeah, they're pretty laid-back compared to some places!!
Customer service type jobs are a nightmare for stuff like that though aren't they? I remember when my ex left me and dyed his hair blue, like you do , he got a warning from his work LOL!

I'm so sorry to hear about your nephew. How awful for you all :(
I do see what you mean, I really do. Just finding it hard to see the good in anything at the moment. Not many silver linings for me! But I do understand what you mean :) Big *hug* as well.xx

Well my boss was surprisingly cheery when I got in and we had a whispered meeting in the kennel kitchen. We did get interrupted, but we got a bit of a chat. She's on to stuff anyway ;)
Work was bizarre today. There'd been the staff meeting this morning and we were on 'emergencies only'. By the time most people had gone we had no dogs in regular kennels, 3 in isolation, 4 stray cats, and a couple of cat inpatients. Bizarre!! We did end up admitting one dog. But ONE! lol
The phone was fairly steady, but we didn't bring much in. Got the chance to finish of jobs and set up for tomorrow and stuff, which was good. Just enough to keep me going without being mental :)
Got to have a 2 minute chat with my mentor  And we're having a sit down on Tuesday to come up with a plan. So, when I have time I'm going to keep reading/studying and have a look at one of the assignments that isn't a case study-there are 3 I think!!
Being in on Saturday will throw off my studying. But I'll see how it goes.

Did a quick clean of the bunnies (will do them properly tomorrow) and fed them. Had a nice tea. And finished season 1 of Breaking Bad. Only started it the other day!! It's brilliant :D Seriously addictive ;)

Oh I'll get weighed on Saturday too. Nice and early, but still after breakfast. I did have a sneaky look yesterday and I may have lost 1lb. Maybe!! We'll see :)
Not sure what to do about saving syns now I'm not going out. Will have a think.x

Yes they are realy strict about tattoos and hair colours and piercings, I'm not allowed to wear my nose stud, I'm only supposed to have one set of earrings in, no non-natural hair colours and no visible tattoos :( So the ones I'm having done soon will be hidden away most of the time. My sister is a tattoo artist so she's doing them for me :)

One day things will make a turn for the better for you and everything will fall in place, you just need to keep your chin up if possible and push through the hard times. Sending hugs back x x

It is a bit daft when companies and stuff go all out to make you as bland and normal as humanly possible! Have you ever watched Black Books? There's an ep of that with Simon Pegg in and he's running a Waterstones type book shop. All the employees wear the same clothes, have the same haircut, all look exactly the same. makes me laugh!

I am surprised at how laid back our hospital is, it does majorly depend on the management. Our head vet is pretty chilled and we can wear trainers, funky socks, make-up (nothing mad like lol), tattoo's on show, etc... But the other Liverpool hospital have to wear black shoes and plain black socks and stuff like that!

That's so cool about your sister!! I really want a Biffy Clyro 'Puzzle' tattoo on my side. But where it is on the guys and the album artwork is right where a bra strap would sit across your side. Can't have it higher or it'd be in my armpit :p And lower the only time anyone would see it would be if I was ever brave and thin enough for a bikini :p But I do really, really want it. Have been thinking about it for years!!!
What do you have btw? I've got a little dog on my ankle that was bought for me by my best mate for my 21st. A lizard on my left forearm. And a hare on my right wrist :) I LOVE my hare. It is definitely the most 'me' so far!

Oh I will, I'll keep plodding along and hoping for a brighter future. You just get so fed up of things going wrong don't you? Must remember to put the lottery on this week!!
Hope you're having a good day.xx

Oh ffs!! Got an email from the car place....

They've offered me £250 towards petrol, taxi's, and 'distress caused'. But they cannot find me a replacement seat. And they also cannot obtain a service history, work done at their own garage, and MOT certificates
They have at least finally applied for a log-book. Are they serious?!

One of the conditions of buying the car was that the seat would be replaced. It's not even a 3 door car seat - it doesn't move!!! And not being able to get hold of documents? That just sounds dodgy beyond belief!

So I think I'd better get back to CAB and get some advice and hopefully things start moving. I just don't know what to reply to them with!! Dear Lord....
