Cheekychinchilla's food and stuff

My boss is very up and down with her moods and how she is as a boss. Sometimes she's awesome and we have a laugh and we talk about our depression and stuff and compare meds - you know, like normal people do ;) And then I have days like today and all the other recent stuff. You'd think she'd be a bit more supportive to all of us doing the course because we HAVE to do it!! It's a training position and it shouldn't be if they don't have the time or resources to actually train and teach us. Grrrr!
Normally we are chased out and not allowed to stay late and stuff. But I think because I'd be doing it for "free" it was a different matter. You can do whatever you like voluntarily...

I'm crossing everything I get a nice case tomorrow. You know, something we can fix and isn't life or death for the poor creature. But, you know, a good one ;)

I've just edited my first aid leaflet and emailed it to the tutor to have a look at. I've said I wont re-submit it until she ok's it. How lovely is she being?! She could have just kept that and waited for my mentor feedback. And the other one she could have just point-blank failed! About time I had someone 'official' on my side. I think she'll be great over the next few months!

Hahaha my choice of food for today was either do a fast day or eat crap lol! There's a MacDonald's, Burger King, many chippies, and loads of shops on my way home from work. So I could have gone junk very easily - save me cooking and all. But I decided a fast would be better and cheaper ;)
I stopped at the Co-op on the way home for some Coke Zero and they had a big-ish microwave bag of veg for £1 so grabbed that to go with something for tea :)

I enjoyed my walks. Ellie's was a little hardcore though. She's old and has arthritis everywhere and I'm totally knackered lol. Think both our hips are playing up now ;)

Bit of a disaster with the water heater being fitted. The guy has made a career first mistake and connected the water and gas pipes back the wrong way round!! So he had to call whoever deals with the meters and get them out to fit a new one. And now he's sorting the rest of the stuff out.
He seems so genuine and he's had a sh*tty day and looks exhausted. Genuine mistake, quickly sorted, and he's covering any additional costs! Hope it's done soon coz I might eat one of the dogs if he doesn't hurry up ;)

xx

What a s®©t day!!! I don't know what else anyone can say!!! Good body magic though and I did laugh at the timing of dinner thanks to the plumber! Not a happy laugh more a oh my God what Time? Laugh. Well done on turning it into a fast day, it is all too easy to walk into the chippy especially when hungry. As for work, I'm constantly shaking my head to their antics and lack of support! Do you think a letter directly to them from your gp or specialist literally spelling out what me suffers have to endure? I don't like the way they're treating you it's wrong. Huge heartfelt hugs xxx

I don't even if think it's about being I'll. Just about awful, awful attitudes to us doing the course. I don't understand it at all, I really don't! And work seem to be turning a blind eye to the diagnosis atm too. My boss doesn't even know my appointment was a mix up and stuff. Haven't had a chance to speak to her and she's certainly not asking!
The only person relating to the course who seems to give a sh*t is the tutor - who is being brill!
I just don't know how to handle work or what my rights are or anything :(
I will get my Dr or consultant to contact work - if they will. My work did request a write up from my go, but its never appeared. That would prolly really help!

Anyway, going to try to sleep. Realised I forgot to get the few raspberries out of the fridge so knocked them off my calories. Can't believe I forgot them!!
Nighty night.xx

Accidental fast day LOL?! You bloody weirdo ;) but well done!!

Sounds like you had a great time at crufts- so much positive energy in that post! :D zoo sounds great too!
Glad you treated yourself to a couple of hoodies :D the CRazy dog lady one sounds nice... And apt ;)

Oh you would not believe it! The car has died. Stopped going in to gear, made a horrible noise, and now the clutch peddle is flapping in the wind. We'd just got passed the house, so had to push it back.
Called my nice garage and the guy is going to sort out collecting and fixing it for me. He said it does sound like the clutch has completely gone. Should cost me around £250

FFS! I think I'm cursed, I really do!!

Katie, unless you've read back in my diary a year you have NO idea how much of an issue this car has been. My first car as well and just been a nightmare from the start. probably the biggest mistake I've ever made :(

I can explain if you want, but there'll be a lot of swearing ;)

Apart from the stupid car today hasn't been too bad.

I got my surgical case!! Luckily, for me, 2 dogs came in overnight with womb infections. So I picked one and we did that lol! Bit nerve wracking because I was with the head vet  But she was in a good mood and she's always nice to me (quite rare for a vca apparently!) and the 2 nurses I was with were brill and I feel at ease with them, luckily.
So we did that, don't worry, wont go in to details ;) And I have all the paperwork as proof of it being an actual dog lol.

Before we went in to surgery I went to do my exams. The short answer was indeed short answer and not a multiple choice - there are two different briefs for it and one says it's written short answer and the other says it's a multiple choice *rage* Godamn hate this course...
Anyway, I had 1hr30 to do that one and I think I did it in 25mins, with checking over it twice. That one will be marked by my tutor, so desperately waiting for the email! That one's a 100% pass though *gulp*
So I decided to do the other one too because I hadn't used up all my time. That one was an easier multiple choice one and I had 45mins to do it. I finished it, double checking all the answers, in 3mins 33 seconds LOL!!! That has got to be some kind of record?! AND I got a distinction and every single one right ;) :flirt2: So a 100% pass on one I didn't need 100% on lol!. But, what can I say?! ;)

I nipped to Sainsbury's after work for a few bits and treated myself to The Conjuring on dvd coz it was cheap - bad move treating myself now  Got some food and drink anyway and stuck a bit of petrol in the b*stard car!
Was driving home and stuck in traffic at some roadworks and Mum said she was just leaving work (her first day back!) and was heading to Morrison's. So I text her to say I'd drive down and meet her in the car park over the road. FORTY MINUTES I waited for the woman. 40!!! She hadn't checked her phone, didn't know I was there, and couldn't hear the phone ringing *twitches*

At this posint (3pm-ish) I was starving!! I did a fast day yday and this morning I had a banananananananana at 8:45am. So was massively looking forward to lunch. So by 3 I was a bit p*ssed off. I left work at 1!
We were on the road next where we live and the car just would not go in to first gear, then second, then it made an awful noise! Drove in to our road and managed to get it out of gear, but could only go back in to 4rd. Pulled up at the house and turned everything off and tried the gears - all fine. So ignition back on and I managed to get it to move in 3rd 2 houses up. Then it just stopped working!! No gears would go in and trying to go in to reverse was just horrific. Then there was a horrible, horrible noise and the clutch peddle just fell down. It's literally flapping in the wind
I've known there was something wrong with it for a while - remember I took it in coz the steering was "odd" a few weeks ago? And while we were away last week it was being a t*t with 1st and 2nd gear :sigh: The only consolation is it happened at home. Not in Birmingham or on the motorway or on my way home from work. But, ffs!!

Phoned my nice garage and he's going to call me back tomorrow with a proper quote, although he said they do loads of 206 clutch replacements (hilarious!) and it usually costs less than £250. Which is great, but more money I really don't have to spend! Just can't believe everything that's happened with this car :(
Honestly my bad luck is never ending!! *woe is me* :sad0071:

I have to really, really hope I get it back by Friday because I'm in work all weekend!

With all that going on and stressing and then deciding to do the bunnies I didn't get to eat until 6:30! Again, I could have eaten the dogs! Was SO hungry! Seen as it will be my only actual meal of the day I did an all out veggie brunch :D
I had 3 Quorn sausages, loads of little crispy potatoes, beans with cherry tomatoes and spicy cheese in, an omelette stuffed with red pepper, shallots, and spinach, and CHEESE!, and one piece of this lovely wholemeal bread Mum bought. It's got spelt and stuff in. Probably not SW friendly but I'm tweeking it and today I do not care :p Just had one and I even weighed it though, so not so bad ;)

Just trying to decide what to watch. I really wanted to write up my case but I honestly don't think my brain could cope right now. But, it's not like I'll be going anywhere for probably at least 2 days. So all the study time in the world.... Yay...... Hrmph..x

Oh Kelly - that's so unfortunate about the car but a least it was this week and not last. I love cars when they get you from A to B in comfort and no trouble, but when they go wrong I hate them.

it's great that you got your case study and that head vet was in a good mood. It sounds as though you were well prepared for your exams if you completed them so quickly and your tutor sounds brilliant - so helpful! What a shame the course and/or provision of it at your practice are so poor.

Hope you you get some rest this evening.

Patty I've never had a car before, only passed my test in 2012. But it's just been a nightmare from the word go. Even down to a lot of legal stuff and the horrible showroom I bought it from. Problem after problem after problem. Even had a big job done on it last year - head gasket fixed and leak on the gear box. Luckily my warranty covered about £500 of it, but I paid around £250 myself. It's just exhausting everything that's happened with it, honestly :(

I have a very good, trustworthy mechanic/garage now and I know they wont take the p*ss or take advantage of me like the showroom and sales people did. But so much has been covered up and hidden and now I'm paying for it all. Absolute b*stards!!

I've done a rough first draft of my case study. I've left myself big red notes on it of where I need to add some stuff lol. But I need at least 500 words and as it stands I've got 1,226 so at least I won't go under. As if I ever would! I waffle too much ;) I like detail and a story lol!
I wish so much we actually met and worked with out tutor, because you're right! She is far, far more supportive and helpful than my work mentor or boss. Where their attitudes come from I've no idea. How can they not see the effort I'm putting in? And the marks I'm getting?! Like today I should have just done one exam, but I did 2 because I had the time. I could have just put it off till next week! But my plan is to now study for a different one for next week to get another out of the way. I've sat here for over 2hrs writing up a case. I could have just thought "f*ck it" after the day I've had, but I didn't. I just don't get it

Think I'm going to make a snack and watch either a film or some Walking Dead. Won't get a lie-in tomorrow because the garage will be calling in the morning to arrange coming to get the car :(
Will do food in a bit when I've had my snack :) xx

Really sorry to hear you car is playing up again :( I hope it isn't too expensive and they get it done quickly for you.
Work sounds awful as per usual, they're not very supportive at all, it's a wonder they have any staff who stay there for any length of time. Well done on getting 2 exams done :D
You're having a great food week, you're certainly on the ball x x

Hey Barbette!
Thanks mate. Can't believe more stuff going on with it. At this rate I'll be fixing and replacing every bloody part of it!!

I very kindly said thank you to my boss and one of the horrible nurses for helping me so much with course stuff this week. With a nice sarcastic inner voice going on ;)

I think you're right and I have been coping with food and stress quite well so far this week. Will get another fast day in too this week and I'm working the weekend so should be good. And if I don't have the car for a few days we wont be going out and I wont be tempted by cafe's and stuff :)
Interested to see what the scales will show this weekend. I didn't get a chance to hop on them in work yday or today. xx

Hopefully you'll have a good loss this week, no off plan days and really good SW days & fasts. It's great when you have a really positive week, just wish all of them could be like that.
Have you bought the car on finance? If so how long have you left to pay it off? x x x

Have got till January before the car is paid off. Have been playing with the idea of getting a 0% credit card and transferring the balance. Without having to pay interest if I keep paying the same amount I should finish it early. At this rate though everything will be new and working!! I've never had a credit card and would only use it for paying off the car! Although if I got a Sainsbury's one I'd get extra points and stuff on my petrol, which I usually buy from Sainsbury's anyway. Just don't know how it all works tbh
If this costs me £250 it'll have had £1,100 worth of work done to it since I bought it last Jan  I'm so f*cking angry with the place that sold me it

I'm hoping I manage to stay on-plan and get another fast day in. That's the idea anyway. Will see what happens lol!xx

What a f*cking nightmare re: car!! Awful! But thank god it didnt happen during your drive to crufts :O
So you fasted until 6pm the second day too- wow! Your body got an awesome detox there. Must have been extra stressy to deal with all that stuff hungry though, I dont know about you but I snap really easily when hungry!

Amazing that you got 100% in 3.5mins lol!!
X

Just waiting to hear from the garage. I called them and they were just sorting out the quotes for people they had to ring. Felt like saying "I don't care, just come and get it" I need it back by Friday night coz I'm in work all weekend. I'm not sure I could cope with the bus journeys now on top of the long shifts so would prob have to get taxi's and they're about £7 each way! I had a look online and the job itself should take about 3hrs, so really would hope it'd be sorted by tomorrow evening. Depends what they have to order in and stuff I suppose. It'll need replacing, not fixing. F*cking thing.....

I did have a banana yesterday morning if that counts? But yeah, you're right, pretty much a fast till after 6pm! When I'm stressed like that I tend to stop eating. I'm odd with stress or being sad, sometimes I want to comfort eat and sometimes I don't want anything at all. There's no in between! Strange!
Hopefully being good this week will fix any damage I did in Birmingham and over the weekend - SO MUCH CHOCOLATE!

I just got an email from my tutor and she said the extra bits I added to my first aid leaflet are great and I should re-submit it now :D I'm desperate for the radiography assignment grade and the exam I took yesterday. Come on!!! Lol!
Going to finish off my surgical case today. I did most of it last night so just need to add in some bits and fine tune it and make sure I get the headings in. Got myself up early to make sure I'm ready if the garage can come get the car this morning. I slept till about 7 and then was in and out and really anxious and stuff. Eventually gave up about 9:30. I want a damn lie-in tomorrow ;)
But it means I'm up and I might as well use the time well. Want to finish this case and study for the next exam - surgical instruments and anaesthetic equipment. That's another 100% pass one! You have to name each bit of equipment and explain it's function. I'm pretty good with the instruments, but will need to practice with the anaesthetic bits and pieces. I know what they all are and use them all the time, but struggle with their names and "official" function. But shouldn't be too bad. Will just practice it :)

Right, gonna stop rambling now.
Cheerio for now dudes.xx
