Chelsea's last stone off by Christmas mission!!

Having had no sleep last night I was wilting by 12:00 so had a late breakfast / early lunch and went for a siesta. Slept for about 4 hours and I'm ready for the off again.

I think I was having hot flushes last night - haven't had any for months! But I could just not stop sweating. Although it was very humid yesterday so I can't be 100% sure.

We'll wobble over to the bar for a coffee later - the only way I manage to get any milk inside me other than 2 cups of tea a day!

Having a BBQ tonight - low fat sausages plus some cheeky little ribs seem to have found their way into the marinade. Lots of syns for me today!!!!!

Update on today's food. Bev I hope I am right about this.

227g jacket potato is a HEx B, so my 310g tatty should be my 2 HEx Bs...right?

Also I am having 10g butter (3.5) and a tin of tuna (free)

I do hope I have got that right!!! So 3.5 syns so far today and I will probably have a small glass of vino to bump that up a bit.

I have also got to add some raspberries to the list I posted earlier.

Glad you feel better after your kip Bev. Bloody hot flushes and sleep disturbances are a nightmare. If I didn't work I'd be up all night and sleep during the day... perhaps I ought to get a job stacking shelves during the night........that'd sort it :D

xxxx

Your tatty is less than 1.5 HexBs so you could have a Ryvita with a little cheese on as a late night snack if you want as you can have 1 or 2 HexA's - and you've only had milk today.

Just as hot again tonight, dripping like a tap so about to have a cold shower and go to bed with the aircon on!

Thanks for the advice Bev... ryvita coming up :D

Thank God for aircon eh? Wish I had it here in my flat. Its like an oven up here at the best of times. All my visitors ask me how I cope. My answer is that I don't :( Hope you get a better nights kip hon. We have a long journey through French countryside tomorrow :D

Looking forward to day three of the Sunny trip xxx

So, onto today's food so far:-

Prawns
2 Activia FF peach yogurts
whole punnet of strawberries
whole punnet of blueberries
Milk (HEx A) in tea and coffee

Tonight I am going to have cod fillet with cabbage and a jacket potato (HExB) and 10g butter (3.5 syns)

Feeling pretty good about all of that. Plenty of syns to play around with for my 3 get-togethers (Thursday, Friday & Saturday) which will be used for wine  :D

I do hope one and all are having a great Wednesday xx

Food looking good Lou - you seem to have your SW head back on.

Jules always saves her syns for weekend "blasts" and she always managed to carry on losing weight - lets hope it works for you too. This weekend looks a bit testing!!!

I think that it was EE that I couldn't get to grips with Bev, whereas Red or Green day is better for me to get my head around. I will stick mainly to Red though, as carbs don't do me any favours at all

I don't want to mess things up with my little get-togethers so will only have a couple of glasses per evening. I have enough syns already in the bank, plus what I would be having for those three days anyway so all should be fine. I will have to make sure I've got lots of superfree nibbles - fruit and raw veg - to help...should I need it :D

xx

Do you like pate? Someone on another thread makes fish pate by adding quark, lemon, and vinegar to a tin of fish - and dip in with veggie stick! This is free with fresh mackerel (not smoked) or tinned salmon or tuna would work just as well.

I like the look of this.
Think we might try it out at the weekend for lunch with crispbreads.

My birthday do at the weekend was all SW friendly or free dips (apart from the taramasalata) and every last bit got scoffed. Apart from the beetroot dip - the colour of which seemed to put people off! Proves nice food can be SW good too! No one realised they were eating the SW way!

Yum, pate sounds good Bev and I will definitely be giving that a try with some ryvitas. Thanks for the tip ;) x

When I did SW successfully a long time ago I used to buy oak (beech??) smoked flaked trout and mash it with quark and lemon with lots of black pepper. It's delicious and completely free... :)

Thanks for the reminder Bev!

I thought smoked trout had to be synned - smoked mackerel has to be?

Not sure - it was 6 years ago but I certainly treated it as free.food ;) . Does smoked salmon have syns then?

Interestingly it doesn't - and smoked trout isn't in my book or online

Funnily enough I put a pack of smoked salmon back on the shelf at lunchtime as I wasn't sure and chose prawns instead. When I checked my book the salmon was free :D Well pleased to see that!!!

xx

Chelsea - your food really is looking GOOD! Well done.
Been out to our weekly dose of Brti bar for the quiz. WE WON - bottle of voddie. Plus we won 2 rounds as well so a bottle of red & white white. Not bad for the total investment of €2.

Thanks Bev...I still don't trust myself that I am doing it right and am forever referring to my SW books :D

Overslept today so have nothing with me but will ask the Catering manager if she can rustle me up a green salad, no dressing, with a couple of hard-boiled eggs for lunch. Plus I shall raid the fruit bowl at work :D

My oldest friend (she's younger than me but I've known her since we were teenagers) is coming over tonight and normally that involves several glasses of vino and a lot of hot air. Its strange, but in all the years we have known each other, we have never run out of conversation. We go like the clappers to get it all in lol.

I will buy in some supplies before she gets to me so that I have plenty of stuff to nibble on that won't add to the wine syns.

Well done on winning the quiz. Better go and buy loads of diet coke to go with the Voddy :D:D xx

Morning Alli, thanks for saying that. I am feeling positive and determined at the moment. I did start to worry about my three evenings of socialising, starting tonight but I plan to not go mad, have been saving syns for it and, because we arrive at the weighbridge on Monday, I'm dead set on keeping myself controlled over the weekend so as (hopefully) I get a nice result on the scales :D Monday is probably the best day for a weigh day because it means that you don't want to undo all the good work during the week, on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. My SW class (that I went to twice ) met on Thursdays and mentally I was thinking 'oooh I can have x,y and z over the weekend because I will have got rid of any gain by next Thursday' which is totally the wrong attitude to have.

How are you enjoying the bus tour so far??

xxx

That's exactly why I weigh in on Monday. Keeps me in control (ish) over the weekends.
