Cheryls Dukan diary

Right im off ladies and sean. Got to get ready and mum will be here in a min. Think of me (ouch to the needle!) lol. Might catch you all later. xx

take care Cheryl x enjoy the park xxxx

Good luck with the bloods! I used to hate blood tests (when it was done with traditional syringe - I could feel the blood leaving me and it used to make me queasy) but am fine now - thank goodness for new methods.

what do they do now?

We must be behind then, they still do it like that here lol.

must be northerners lol

what do they do now?

There's still a needle (obviously) but the blood flows out on it's own and doesn't need to be drawn out, so you don't feel it. Plus the nurse that did my husband's last lot (after an op) said that he (and the majority of others) only used paediatric needles (so very fine and pain-free).

Joanne will know what I'm on about!

I can't look! If I don't look, I'm fine... even afterwards, when the vials are lined up, I can't look!

Lol. I had a good one. First of all i was seen by Rachel, my midwife from my last 2 pregnancies and she was standing in for the midwife i was meant to be seeing. I had requested to see her but i was told i couldnt choose. Then she said she will swap me onto her books so she will take care of me from now on. I cant tell you how happy i am. Shes a softee and didnt deliver Oliver but shes wonderful. She even remembered what im like over injections! lol. Once the needle was in i watched it 3 full vials of blood taken, even Oliver watched it!
Taking blood with a syringe..........now that is going back some years! Its not been done like that here for hmmmm about 20 or more id say. Well not everywhere but in most places. So all in all except for feeling sick again ive had a lovely day. Im soooooo happy i have Rachel again.

Hi all. Ive been thinking long and hard about this and im afraid the desion is out of my hands at the moment. My pregnancy is making me suffer terribly at the moment and the sickness is really getting me down. Ive not even been able to follow conso as i cant face veg and the smell of chicken makes me gag. Ive decided to stop and eat whatever i can when i can, trying to be as healthy as poss. Ive not been on here for a few days as ive been feeling so rough all day long. I wish you all the very best and will still pop in from time to time but at the moment any ref to food makes me sick. I will still read any updates on my diary but need to remove myself from the food talk for a bit. Missing you all loads already. xxxx

Aww so sorry to hear you're not any better Cheryl - noticed you'd been a bit MIA but thought it was just usual weekend business... hope you manage to overcome the sickness soon - think the healthy diet as opposed to conso will be less restrictive and probably more beneficial to you at the mo - better to eat what you can when you can, than try and eat something you just can;t!

Keep us posted re pregnancy and how you're getting on in general

miss you too xxx

Morning Cheryl

Hope that the sickness sorts itself out soon, it is horrible, I know.

We'll see you back here when you're able.

Oh Cheryl... I'm so sorry to read that...

If you're ok on the computer, can we not avoid the F word on your link and still have the benefit of your company?

Whatever suits you, my lovely... are you off work at the moment?
