Yes the real deal is much nicer :D

And well done on the loss!

And isn't there a 1/2 syn SW cake?

I made it once & it maybe my baking skills but it was hideous!

I'm with you and the occasional treat will not ruin all the rest of our efforts. My friend that I used to do afternoon tea with is also doing SW so we tend to do lunch now as you can have a lovely treat and be nearer to plan that with afternoon tea. ALthough we're doing one for my Birthday (not until April though!)

Adjusted my goals for mexico (21st March) so more acheivable!! Would love to lose the stone between now and then - 5 weeks so hopefully a good chance of getting there if I stick to plan.

Hope everyone is enjoying Valentine's Day. My boyfriend took me away last weekend as an early Valentine's Day suprise, but I also got flowers on the doorstep this morning so feeling like one very lucky bear today :)

STS the same this week, can't complain as better than a gain!!
will keep plodding on.

this week I'm expecting to prob STS the same again, as my brother is visiting from America and we will have a few meals out.nwill try and limit the damage with healthy choices though!,

TOTM month arrived today, so hoping part of the STS was the water. Will try to be good this week ( is so hard cos my brother and his wife live in America, so when they come over they want have ALL the naughty things - cream teas, pasties etc!!)

thanks all all for your support

Managed to lose 1 pound this week - which is frankly astonishing given how much I have enjoyed myself this week!!
I definitely let myself go Fo most of the week, in order to enjoy seeing my brother and spending time with family,

Its scary how easilyI slipped back into grabbing anything in sight To eat - ice cream, puddings, chocolate etc. although much smaller portions now as I think I am getting much better recognising when I feel full.

So back on the plan starting again on Thursday. actually feels good!! all that processed sugar gives me a headache :)

ive been flicking through the hairy Fieters books again to choose some new recipes to try out. I'm going to make the chicken jalfrezi tonight, and will try the sweet and sour chicken in the week.

3 weeks today till I leave for Mexico, so would like a really good 3 weeks on plan to see some results before I go.
Im hoping to enjoy my holiday and let myself have the treats I want, but hopefully I can keep activity levels up in order to balance that out.

Thanks SJB, and inspired by your amazing progress I'm stepping up the excercise.
I have a treadmill at home, so really NO excuse!, did 20 mins todAy, just walking but put the angle up to 4

am wondering about doing the couch to 5k on the treadmill (although I'd probably have to do it increasinging over several months!!) but wondering if anyone else has experience of doing this at around my weight? Or did they wait until smaller?

Well done on the pound Claire!

What sort of treadmill do you have? I'd love one at home but not really got the room - and I'd need one that can take my weight...

I started C25K when I got to just into the 16s not sure why I picked that weight? BMI wise because I'm a shorty & your tall it wasn't much different to you now?

I would advise going and getting a gait assessment and some appropriate shoes. I swear my lovely motion controlled shoes that help reduce my over pronation is the only reason the running hasn't caused me knee pain etc.

Good luck with C25K - I used some fab podcasts from itunes - by Carli. Some top tunes and she's someone who would fit in on WEMITTS :D

Hi Lady F - I went to a great showroom . Ended up forking out £1300 for a decent quality one - Elite T9450 HRT Folding Treadmill. As you mentioned, it is important to get one with the right weight limit. also, you need a decent motor on it, otherwise when us - ahem - larger people walk/run the belt struggles to turn and can judder a bit. The one I got works great for me, just need to use it more often!!!

I bought from a company called fitness superstore - had to swallow my pride and go to one of their show rooms (I went to Northampton). Took my boyfriend for moral support - but it turned out great as it was a deserted showroom in an industrial estate, but they had about 20 different treadmills and a really helpful sales guy who explained the pros and cons of each and encouraged me to have a Go. Was even very kind about explaining the weight limits etc and made me feel really comfortable.

Thanks for the great tips on the C25K SJB. I am so inspired by you, and I'd love yo give it a go. I think it may be slowly does it though, but I'm going to give it a try!!

have had a quiet Sunday. There is a more senior job come up in a team that I work with, so Ove decided to apply for it. It's probably a bit of a big step at the moment, but I'm hoping they might take a chance on me!!! Fingers crossed.
the interview isn't till after easter so needs to keep fingers crossed until then!!!

Had Belvita biscuits for breakfast, then a SF meal bar for lunch. Got a bag of walkers crackers (110 cals) for a snack, and also had a SF nutty snack bar just now, Will have roast beef this evening, but only have 1 or 2 roasties and fill then rest of my plate with green veg. Yuuuuum.
