Vanilla are ok yeah and you can add coffee to them.

Ketosis will kick in about day 3-4 I think. Make sure your drinking plenty of water too. People still have good losses on SS+

I've only had 2/4 shakes today, still got 2 vanilla left, I've felt really weak today too, this crap weather doesn't help does it?

Keep plodding on it will be worth it. How much did you say you want to lose? x
 
Hope you don't mind me joining in :) I've been doing this since July and a bit of an old hand these days - I have done SS+ since the start and it does make a difference having a small meal once a day and does mean u can be more sociable as can eat out.

My CDC said she has had more success with people who did it that way. I don't think it has effected my losses as such - I've lost over 70lbs in that time.

I would strongly suggest that u listen to your body and if, after you get past ketosis, u are still too hungry and weak, talk to your CDC about doing SS+

When I started yesterday my cdc had said she was happy for me to jump between ss and ss+ throughout the week as & when I needed. I've made sure I have prawns & broccoli in but I'll have my last shake when I get home & then decide how I feel. Good news is that I walked past loads of take away places, and walked through a supermarket full of temptations but still knew I didn't want any of that. I know it's only day 2 but I traditionally don't last long before I'm craving salty chips or crisps.

Course I don't mind you joining in ChristyT :) I could use all the support I can get! I think I just read so much about how good I'd feel after week 1 that I forgot to factor in how tough this 1st week would actually be. Great to know though that I can still see good results potentially even doing ss+ - I had wanted to do ss the full day through to prove I could almost...but there's no point not listening to what my body is telling me.

This weather is making it so hard. Ideally want to lose about 4/5 stone as I'm really short at 5'1" so need to be in the late 8st to have an ideal bmi. Might stop earlier though depending on how my body looks/feels x

Your doing ace :) especially for day 2...I was bloody starving at day 2 lol. I had a massive energy rush around day 5 the was weighed at day 7, that then motivated me to keep going - I'm sure you will feel the same as you certainly sound like your in the zone.

I've just had some chicken with a little cauliflower and broccoli so that is me finished with food and products for the day. Not drunk enough water so need to get that down me before I go out...I have to say I find the water input the hardest part...I really don't like it lol xx

I don't feel like I'm doing ace! Thanks though :D just had the spicy tomato soup and it was alright. A bit bland, but better than nothing. I could still probably eat my laptop though, so I'm pretty sure I'll be munching on some prawns later though. I'll see how I feel after some water though. Don't want to SS+ if I can avoid it, as I would love to see a big loss after week 1.

Next Monday is weigh in for me (and my birthday!) so it'd make my day if I could see a big difference straight away, and would really help with the motivation I think. x
 
Ahhh I am sure you will - even SS+ u could see a big loss. I lost 9lbs in the first week and 6lbs in the second. I reckon u will be very very surprised :) xx

That makes me feel *so* much better if I need to have a wee spot to eat later...least I know it doesn't mean I'm failing or cheating or anything :) x
 
See how u feel - try and hold out but if u break and have a couple of prawns it really isn't the end of the world xxx
 
Yeah, that's true. I'm not feeling as hungry and weak as I did earlier which is a start anyway :) Saying that, it's only quarter past 8. If I didn't have a friend over, I'd probably go to bed already haha :D x
 
Day Three

Well, I made it through the evening without any food. The guy I'm kinda dating came over last night & was actually brilliantly supportive. He ate before he got to mine & didn't bring anything to munch on (even though he's a bug snacker himself) as he didn't want to make it hard for me. I think that's what stopped me from going on SS+ last night. He did tell me though that I have 'hungry breath' which has made me pretty self-conscious. I do have this yuck taste in my mouth but dont think it could be ketosis yet as I'm still really hungry :(

I've had shake 1 already so a bit worried at how hungry I am already. In work until 8pm too so won't get no 3 until I get in. Eek.

It'll be the beginning of ketosis. Appetite suppression should kick in soon! Thought there will always be times when you feel hungry, I'm afraid. And sort of boyfriend is a bug snacker eh? ;) :D What, spiders? Flies? Beetles? ;) Each to their own! ;) (you've gotta love auto-correct!).

I'm on day 3 too. It'll soon get lots easier! Well done for getting this far! :clap:

These couple of days have been so hard - how have you found them? Convinced myself my trousers felt a bit looser this morning although that might be the placebo effect :) trying to avoid a cheeky self weigh this early on x

No, those trousers really will be looser (mine are). Usually in the first couple of days you lose pounds very quickly. :)

I've found the last couple of days ok but this isn't my first time. The first time I felt horrible until day 4! I think maybe you get used to it. :) Feel a bit off the planet this morning, mind. Ketosis is definitely kicking in now - I find it quite an odd spacey feeling!
 
Try and stick with SS if you can - although I know it's hard. Ketosis will be just around the corner

I'm trying really hard to avoid the food. Weirdly the hunger I can kind of deal with, it's the weak feeling which I'm struggling with. I genuinely feel a bit like I'm going to pass out (mainly when I'm walking home from work & things)...according to MyFitnessPal I'm burning about 100 calories with the amount I'm walking too which means I'm working on about 300 cals a day :-S yikes x
 
I could cry...Day three has gotten the better of me :( I had to SS+ as I felt like I was about to flake out. And I gave into the carb craving and found myself munching my way through two poppadums (of all things!) as I was cooking. SO disappointed in myself, but I just hope I can reign it back in now. On the plus side, for my meal I just had my allocated chicken allowance and broccolli. Just feel like I've undone the past 3 days worth of hard work.

Thanks Lily...that makes me feel a bit better. Because of the ketosis thing I just worry that if I ruin that I'll lose any chance of losing if that makes sense?

Consoling myself now watching tv and lying on the couch with my trusty bottle of water by my side.

Thanks for the pick-me-up though...good to know all is not lost x
 
No, definitely not. You've just had the equivalent in carbs and calories to half a shake, if that puts it into even more perspective. So no real harm done. But no more, or I'll be round there to give you a slap. :D
