@Shrinkingvioletnomore I could certainly do something with some of them lol
Well I am back from my visit, last time I took Poppy she was a complete pest the whole visit, this time she was still a pest but not nearly as bad, pup is growing up lol. It was a good visit, my Dad was on form and you wouldn't have known today that he has dementia at all.
I think lots of us missed out on socialisation during the lockdowns, she was still a young dog when suddenly I couldn't visit people or have visitors, so she got used to really just us. I'm sure there are many people with animals and young children too that have missed out on practising being around other people. It takes time.
So today during my walk and visit I've managed to stay on track, if a little behind fluid wise - I'm on 1800ml so far.
I had a bar after midnight and another this morning, half a juice shake, and a soup made double with stock powder. I'm not really wanting the other half juice shake at this time, so I'll call it a day at that and have another drink before bed.
I sorted out my food/bar and soup drawer. Still got heaps of bars and lots of puddings and chilli. Down to 14 soups tho, so at my rate that's about 2 weeks worth, so I'll need to buy more soups. Buying them by accessing the page through my work perk site means that whatever I spend adds 'wowpoints' to my work account. I've already got about £10 sitting, which can be taken in vouchers or cash. I've discovered that I can do this with many other retailers as well. Tesco for example, I can get e-vouchers for however much my shopping costs, or buy a card from my perk site, then buy my normal shopping, and I get wowpoints for that as well. So it takes a lot of spending to add up, but it's spending I was doing anyway... I figured I'll start and use it for as many of my purchases I can and then use the wowpoints either for some treat in the future, or as a little emergency fund. It's money for nothing anyway and I'm liking that idea!
Right, in a minute I'm off to get a drink and head to bed.
I'm grateful for my dog, and the joy she brought to my parents today.
I'm grateful that today was a 'good' day dementia-wise, for my Dad.
I'm grateful for the sheer luck of having 2 wonderful parents who have never let me down.
16 days down, 65 to go
