I am LIVID.

I have this food hygiene course tomorrow. I have no money because the dole have messed up my claim (surprise, surprise) so my mum and dad were meant to be paying half each- then I can pay them back when I have money- it was my Dad's idea.

Dad just called- he can't afford to pay the half- so expects my mum to pay for the whole £74 tomorrow, and him pay back in 2 weeks.

I am so angry- it was HIS idea in the first place- and he gives me 24 hours to find £40 or I can't go on the course. and if I don't go on the course-there is no point going for the interview on Wednesday because I need that qualification

GRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Little_bubblez have you spoken to your mum is she able to pay the full amount?

How stressful...I hate being in situations like that could you not ask the benefits office for a crisis loan?

or if you know exactly when you will be getting some money you could try wonga.com

Mum is trying to juggle things around- I think that we'll be able to work something out. But we'll be eating (no pun intended) into our food money for 2 weeks :(

The crisis loan people are insulting- because I'm under 25, I'd get about £2 a day.....but that reminds me- I need to call them, thanks ;)

Ohhhh and I wouldnt touch those sites- with 2000% interest and stuff....they remind me of loan sharks- only not as bad because they don't break your legs

But thanks for your suggestions hun :) I'm sure we'll get there....just not surprised my dad lets me down yet again.

Last time he did that- I was in Philadelphia airport (an 8 hour layover- yuk) on my way home after 3 weeks in Canada with my "adopted mum". I was very upset because I was on my way home- and dad was meant to meet me at Manchester Airport to get the train with me so I wasnt on my own. He texts me while I'm there- about 2 hours away from my flight to Manchester "can't afford to get the train- sorry". I had no money, I was stranded. My mum ended up sorting a taxi for me- at the tune of £50...she's on about half the wage of him- and she can afford to bail him out....but she shouldnt have to -ya know?

I just wish I could pay for the course myself :sigh:

I know the feeling .. Thank God you have such a supportive mum she sounds amazing.

The fact that you want to pay for it yourself shows that when you can you will look after your mum sooo much so don't worry too much. Its not like its a dead end course and your been a diva about it. Its a course than will put you in better position to get a job and be able to get back on your feet and be there for people like they have been there for you.

Wonga is not too bad over a couple of weeks its if you miss a payment things get scary

Also well done on an 18% weightloss in under 6 months that is fantastic x

I hope it all gets sorted out for you

I am just off to do my KettleWorx workout.. Then I will be back to catch up on the days chat and weight losses.

This thread grows by pages each time I come back on... It's FAB!!! :) xxx

My mum is pretty awesome :) she doesnt help with emotional stuff (she doesn't have much sympathy when it comes to mental illness/addiction etc) but when sorting practical stuff- she is fab! I do love my mum :D

and ty- Hoping to get my "club 20" (i know it doesnt officially exist- but it's nice to say :p ) by my 6 month mark :D

Maybe we should invent club 20 :) hehe

I cannot BELIEVE how much I have to catch on when I dont keep up! haha

Im Adrianna (Or Anna if thats easier). =)

And my hubby is a podiatrist so if anyone wants advice for the plantar facitius (sp?!) thing I can ask him!

I feel like an outsider now cause I have missed so much hahaha!

Hi Adrianna :)

I think everyone feels like an outsider if they leave the thread for even a couple of hours - it looks like an MSN convo instead of a forum thread at times if a few people are online and viewing/nattering at once lol

If it's not a bother I wouldn't mind hearing any advice your hubby could give re the plantar facilitis - I've been reluctant about going to the doctors as it seems mostly you're told there's nothing can be done but I've been going past a chiropodist's office (which I assume is similar if not the same as a podiatrist) and wondering if it's worth giving them a go. Should probably try the doctors first though since that would be free... makes me feel more guilty though as if it's a waste of time it's time I haven't paid for

I tend to take the 'leave it and it'll sort itself out' for everything other than dental pain on the whole but the foot pain issue is getting to the same point as dental problems right now :sigh:

Thanks hun. You'd be right though- he is a git....but he's not going to change- I'll just have to curb the resentment because he's doing the course tomorrow too (but luckily for him his company is paying for it) I'm sure I'll manage 6 hours without killing him lol

Help needed, from someone who knows a little about excercise and stuff! :character00115::character00115::character00115:

I am on my *week still and today, when I was doing my Kettleworx, I really struggled! To the point that I thought I was going to be pysically sick or litterally faint!! :9529::ambulance::9529::ambulance:

I was wondering if anyone knows if it could be because I am on my * week? Does it effect excercise??

Trying to keep up to date with this thread is becoming a full time job! LOL :8855:

But I would'nt change it for the world! I love how Chatty we are! If we ever did meet up, I think there will be a definate lack of oxygen in the room!! LOL :8855:

Well Done everyone that has lost weight this week! I cant wait to see how much we have lost by Chritmas!! :Christmas02r:

Yeah I reckon it'll be cos it's * week! What you have to consider is that your blood pressure may be effected! Hope you're feelin better soon xxx

Yeah- blood pressure can go a bit haywire when its * week. Keep safe hun- drink more fluids and keep eating :)

Sometimes I hate being a woman...grr :(

Thank You Ladies,

My blood pressure is usually fine but I did'nt realise that *weeks effect blood pressure.

This is the first time I have done my Kettleworx when I have been on.

I think I will make sure Hubby is home next time!

On a seperate note... How do I quote more than one person at a time. I wanted to quote you both then?!! Derrrr!! LOL :confused::confused:
