Think I'm in a different time-zone to the rest of the curvies, my *week started last saturday - guess I jumped the gun :8855:

Hope you're all enjoying your weekends, I'm off tomorrow and am in need of the rest heh. Need to get back into exercise though - should probably peep at the curvies exercise thread at some point and see what you're all up to on there :D

I have had an odd weekend I havent really eaten much but have drank loads. I am going to have to work really hard this week to stop any nasty gains. I have an Interview tomorrow and I am going to make sure I eat breakfast and put something into the slow cooker to avoid nerves eating :)

Thank you honey I will be glad to get a job so I can stop looking and having to go to interviews lol My oic was taken this time last year we dressed up as Vampires for Halloween i was great fun. I need to start going to class I think thats another good thing that will happen when I am working :) xxxx

I'm going to a new class from this thursday-I've been to the consultant before and she's very good! Changing back to debbie's group as my best friend goes to her on a Thursday evening, and as I'll have Thursdays off for college then it makes sense :) xx

Katie and welshtigger, thats a great plan getting back to class. Thursday is def a lucky weigh day for me. I've been to classes on most days but the last time I lost big time was a Thursday and this time too. Lots of the team are Thurs weighers!

I never stopped going to class during my bad months, have just missed the last 2 weeks cos of work :( and now im in need of fresh motivation hence different class! xxx

I cant wait until I can afford to go again although you lovely ladies provide me with loads of hints and tips so its just like our own class here:)

I have recorded Norah Jones Dont know why (Me singing) and would really like your honest opinions I still cant decide whether or not to go for the audition for the Voice my head is done in thinking about it and worrying I will get laughed at the link is Don't Know Why by lilykatie in the style of Norah Jones | SingSnap Karaoke please have a listen and let me know what I should do.

Mn had a listen to your song - it's a bit tricky to judge as the voice recording is a little lower in quality than the music track so the levels are wonky and it's hard to hear the words clearly. It does sound pretty though :) I doubt you'd get laughed at, why not give it a bash?

Hehe I've not done self-recordings for ages - used to do ones with me singing and record separate tracks of playing guitar (simple chord stuff, no fancy skillz). Was great fun and used it as a wooing tool with my OH over the t'internet :D

Hiya Katie, I had a listen there too.
(Its actually made me sit up for the past few hours since you posted it singing along to songs and having a great time. haha)

I think you sound really good.
Only one constructive criticism is to watch your breathing, like to make sure you take it at the ends of the lines instead of in the middle but thats just a practice thing. (i hope you dont think thats mean, its just something that was drilled into me when I took singing lessons and that I tell my music students now! haha)

I do agree that its too low quality too hear the detail in your voice but you have a lovely pure sound and you have no trouble in reaching any of the notes you are singing.

Go for it, your voice hasn't a chance of being laughed at.
Its actually good unlike some of the ones you hear on these shows hehe.

I used to sing a lot. Have been in loads of things singing but I got out of the way of it and now my voice sounds awful. Hubby says it doesnt but he loves me so has to say that haha.
I would love to do something like you are doing (the Voice!) but I am the same, I am convinced I cant actually sing and will get booed off or something crazy. I couldnt bear it if i ended up being played as one of the ones that you think "Who told them they could sing!?!?!" hahaha
Ive been having a great time practicing again tonight though, made me realise how much Ive let my voice go!

Been a bit grotty the last few days- really depressed too...so lacking energy, physically and mentally.
