Ok, to scales or not to scales. That is today's question from me!

Oh, and is it worth having goals for inches rather than scales?

Im working from home today so at least I have a product early, and my mom is going to pop over for a cuppa and I can get my Pilates done on my 'lunch break'. Good stuff all round as I need some decent time with Freya doing home work xx

I'll have to change my ways. I need to have products earlier. I managed to have stuff earlier when I was away and there was food involved oddly.

I need to be strict with myself re the times I 'eat'

On a happier note, the chaps across the road are doing moving type stuff right now :) my house will be ready soon!! :)

Do you mean to buy scales Lizz?? I think your goal should just be losses whether its inches or lbs as both reflect a smaller you!! - my cdc should be here within the hour eeeeekk!!! x
 
Yeah i'm the same hun. I used to do this pre-diet and it never worked in my favour....but then because i dont have products before my work out, it hurts more.

I shall be having my shake (with ice) at 11, my soup at 6 and my bar at 8 this time. I'll also make more jelly this evening for tomorrow and friday.

Yeah i dont own any, and i want to see what i weigh in as an "empty" weight if that makes sense. I have 11 stone as a target weight, but thinking of setting inch "goals" for waist, bust and hips too....I'm neer going to be 28-24-28 but i can at least set something? what do you think?

That's what I've been trying to do is have my products earlier I have my first one about 11am then another around 3pm then my dinner at 6ish and a bar at 9ish but I still struggle with that to be honest. I've always been the skip breakfast type of girl!!

I own scales - and I can't lie that I do get on them every day (about 10 times a day) although I haven't since I started again so have no idea what today is gonna say!! As I did have 2 n half weeks off!!

I do like weighing myself as it gives me the buzz to get through the day when I see them dropping but it can work the other way aswell. And one thing I find so frustrating is when my scales show I've had a good loss but then on the morning before weigh in all of sudden they go up??

I think they are good for maintenance aswell tho so that you can see where you are at and keep it in control - so I think my advice would be to buy some but then I'm a born shopper and would probably say that to anything lol!! xx
 
I'm usually midday 6pm and 8-9pm although when I had a meal I was 10am 3pm meal then 9pm and I weigh each morning but not all day as the water during the day is discouraging.
Breakfast bores me senseless and always getting lectures off jay 'most important meal of the day' yawn yawn. Don't get me wrong I'd happily eat a choc biscuit tho for my breakfast or 10 in the old days haha and I wonder why I'm fat
Going full as fri onwards so will need help to stay focused amigos xx
 
The results are in .....

I gained 1lb but lost 4inches!!! - I'm happy with that as I had 2 and a half week off n it just shows that I didn't go too wild with anything!! And I haven't got weeks to go to get back to where I started!! So hopefully that 1lb will be off in next few days and then I'm back on track x

I might get some scales next weekened then and not open them until i'm in the new house. That's a kind of cool moving in gift to me! lol

Having my mate Alex round tonight so that will be a good distraction from food! Crap day, want food, not going to give in!

I'm going to sack off the laptop, do my pilates and then go and have a bath to try and calm down after an evil day!

Good news was that i have some size 12 next trousers off ebay and they fit really nicely :) so that means i'm about a size 11 as i find next come up small!

Lizz have your target be whatever you want. My target is about size rather than weight. I would like to not have to worry about what size I am
When going I to a shop. I'd like to know that something in there will fit me. I'd like to know that no matter which shop I happen to be in a 10/12 WILL fit. That means that despite weight being an official target my CDC knows that size is more important to me. Beyond that I just want to be healthy which is why the exercise is important to me too.

As for the scales I weigh in every morning now as I get up. Watching the scales go down is great. When they go up I can relate that to something I've done (like a week in Italy!) but knowing that I know at an early stage in the future will mean that I can do something about it as soon as it happens. I'd recommend a decent set of digital scales. I had a dodgy old set of analogue ones and they would vary wildly between breaths nevermind anything else!

That's why the 10/12 for me. I know my waist is small (26inches) compared to the rest of me but being a curvy girl trousers and jeans tend to fit my bum and then gap massively on my waist. Ditto on the top. Things either fit my boobs or my waist. Never both. I think you should find something to aim for so a uk size 10 is officially 34"-26"-36" that doesn't mean you'll be a size 10 in every shop or in every garment but you would know that a 8-12 would fit no matter where you were.

I've been training people for most of the day and I'm only just catching up with emails etc back in the office. Got to pop out to get the dry cleaning etc before I forget, again. I'm doing ok at the minute. Weigh in tomorrow so that keeps me on track. Got dinner with friends on Friday night but we are doing tapas so nobody will notice if I don't really eat!

You can have it but you'll have to take the rubbish bits too (lumpy legs included!) ;-) Home now after Zumba! Never done it before. Quite sweaty. Lots of water needed to top up to normal levels. But I have jelly in the fridge so all is well. And my last product of the day is a strawberry tetra that I've popped in the freezer (not CDC approved but it makes great ice cream!). So kids party style jelly and I've cream for me tonight! How are you today amigos?

It's really hyper isn't it? I liked it for sweating and I felt like I'd worked hard. Ooooh the jelly is my new fave thing!!!
I mix my shakes with about 12-14 ice cubes and mush it all down and it's amazing! Haha loving the jelly and ice cream concept!

I have my mate Alex round. He's house hunting and as his best mate I get to Vito loads of crap options!!! I love his budget (300k) and he's looking at 4 bed detached houses so I'm loving helping lol not had my bar yet either

Oooooh you're still looking then? That's exciting! We managed to go from 93 properties down to 26 and the. Rightmove crashed! I've sent him packing though as I'm knackered and alarm goes off at 545! EEEEK

Yes still looking. Down here though our budget (which seems massive to me) doesn't get very much! Can't wait to live in a house instead of a flat.

How is everyone today ?? I can't cope with this weather one minute it's hot next it cold -- I never know what to wear!!

Feeling tired this morning but scales showed a nice little 2lb drop today so chuffed with that -- really want at least 5lb off this week so I'm in the next stone bracket!! x
