Well done both of you for the decluttering bedroom stuff. I did my dresser and bedisde cabinets the last time the fly lady zone came up. Looks heaps better and I am actually keeping the dresser tidy with my make up, as I have organised it and chucked out the stuff that I wasn't using. Trust me no mean feat as I could stock Boots! The morning make up routine is far quicker without me rummaging in a basket for the blusher and eye pencil. Cant face the clothes thing yet. I have lots, and lots that I dont like and dont wear, but cant face chucking them out. I mean I might want to wear them someday again. ( pigs also may fly)
Loving the idea of the before and after pics and the routies malarky. Have you seen the postings page on flylady? something like that would be good.
No cleaning today as it is still clean from the visit on tuesday

No cleaning for me today either , have had a day out with the kids. All work and no play is not the flyladyway !!
I havent started on inside drawers and cupboards yet, there's plenty of surface and outside clutter to do first, but that will all come in time.

Losing the baby fat
I havn't caught up yet as just giving my dd her dinner, but I got her room totally sparkling this past week adn I've kept it like that - I make her bed 'properly' everymorning, not just quilt thrown down kind of thing! I am trying to get her to start keeping things tidy (she's 2... it's a battle lol)
#I'm still not shot of all my black bags so got to take it easy till wednesday again.
I'll have a read back later on when I'm not so needed - hope everyone is keeping well xxx

Well today hasnt quite gone according to plan, but have managed to do something which has improved our home, which is my daily aim.
I was planning to tackle some of the weeds outside since it's a nice-ish day but having popped into our local salon to have my eyebrows threaded and been talked into an impromptu manicure, I couldnt bring myself to ruin my newly painted nails with gardening, so have done more sorting in the bedroom.
In fact MrB has assisted, seems the mention of the possibilty of me feeling romantic if we had a room that looked more like a boudoir than a boot sale was enough to goad him into action.
We are out for the day tomorrow so shant be doing anything tomorrow
How is everyone else doing ?

FlyLady.org could be the place to go to find half a million people with similar problems..... and a way to solve them! The 'fly' stands for 'finally loving yourself' and touches on lots of areas that could be de-cluttered in our lives, not just the interiors of our houses. It's kind of brash and bright and fun, but with the serious backdrop of eliminating CHAOS (the 'Can't Have Anyone Over Syndrome') and a cunning plan, beginning with the simplest steps. Put Flylady into the Google search box, or have a look at the coverage in Wikipedia..... the site has grown tremendously since I first discovered it a few years ago, and I remember a large group of us in the U.K. meeting up in Cambridge for a meal and a chat a couple of times.
I think I may have convinced myself to re-join!

Losing the baby fat
I had to laugh at the bedroom like a car boot comment! I soooo sympathise with you! Since my daughter went in her own room a year ago my room suddenly turned into a junk room! Theres still some stuff to go but I have floor room now! Before you had to take a sycthe and cut a path to the bed !!!
Tomorrow my dh is going to do some work in the back garden for me. I need the grass cut and a general tidy up .. lately I've started titivating up my front garden and have bought a small rose bush that I am hoping will eventually grow up and over the front door, I think that will be pretty, and have added wall baskets and pots near the door... looks very cheery and have noticed people looking!
And tomorrow I am going to get more of the kitchen done - the cupboard under the bench, top of the units, bin, and sort as much of the stuff on the table as I can... I would like to be able to use the kitchen table sometime this century! And then do a big kitchen clean.

LOL at the bedroom floor space !! My hubby is still climbing into bed from the end cos he is so used to not being able to walk around to his side !!

The one thing that comforts me about this thread - and my very deserved place on it - is that I am not the only one.
And I am, finally, making a real difference to my house clutter. There were times when I feared I would never, ever be able to tackle it in a serious way. And oh, the feeling of achievement as more and more boxes go out for collection, and tons of full black bags to the Salvation Army!
Lots more to do but I truly am on my way. Congratulations to all others here who are dealing with this problem - and to those yet to begin, take heart! You can and will do it.

This is no word of a lie... last year it was like this ALL YEAR till Xmas - different mess , but like this! Couldnt use it, only to dump stuff on.
