*deep breath* my journey to a thinner / healthier me

Hi Em, found your diary. You are doing so well, you will feel great for your holiday xx

Hi everyone :wavey:

Had a busy weekend again, so didn't really get chance to come online. I spent most of the weekend trying to achieve an ashe blonde on my hair and it still hasn't worked. I'm at this for now ...

... and then I'm going to put an avon colour on top, and if it doesn't work then I'm just going to go back to bog standard light brown :8855:

We did a food shop today and I spotted an ice lolly tub thing, you know the ones that you tip stuff into and then stick a plastic stick in and freeze? Well I got one of them and used a can of 7up zero to make some syn free ice lollies, not sure how they'll turn out but it's got to be worth a try :D

Hi em oh hair colours a pain isn't it I want from black back blonde and it still isn't fully sorted on the length, it's been 12 month or so and that's haven it dine at the hairdressers ,

It's such a pain, but I can't justify going to the hairdressers because it costs so much and I get made to feel like dirt because their chairs are such a tight squeeze. So home dyes for me and in between intensive conditioning masks :D

It's a fortune absolutely rip off but couldn't tackle it from black, I know what u mean about them making u feel uncomfortable I changed so many times coz I didn't like the atosphere,
I went to one and it wasn't a cape they put round u it was Like a silk dressing gown well not a chance of it fitting me anywhere near and Like u say add the chair situation in to the mix , I just wanted to cry,

Yep, I've not been into a proper hairdressers since 2009 when I went and had my hair tidied up for my dad's funeral. Add to the general upset of having lost my dad the fact that the cape did not fit, then the fact that the chair was so tight and then the fact that the woman doing my hair was a right miserable bag, I was so close to walking out

Ah..... to have hair. A luxury in itself! ;) Lol. X

Emily, don't give up with the hair dye, stick with it! You will get there eventually.

I can completely understand not wanting to go to the hairdressers - besides the fact that I'm terrified by the place, their prices are ridiculously high!

My natural hair colour is a dirty blonde kind of colour, but I'd been dying it for years. I had it plum, and would have hot pink through my fringe. Then I got sick of it, and wanted to go back to blonde. In a matter of 1 weekend I managed to go from plum/purple to a light strawberry-ish blonde, and have gradually gotten lighter and lighter. I'm now "pure light blonde" colour 90 from Loreal's "Sublime" range.

It will be so worth it if you stick with it. Plus, whilst your away the sun should help to naturally bleach/lighten your hair too! :)

This is what I'm aiming for, just hoping I can hit it when I use the avon colour because I need to let it settle before we go to turkey or I'll end up with green hair :8855:

Made me lol too.

Hi Emily hope you're having a good day and have managed to get your hair to just the shade you're looking for. I'm not a fan of hairdressers either and know exactly what you mean about capes and chairs. I also have problems with their chatter as I'm not a fan of soaps and that and reality shows is all they seem to talk about. I don't watch reality shows as a rule either.

Glad the app't went well with the nurse and I'm sure you'll ace your target for the end of May. When you find your mojo can you please share it round. Thanks cao I could be doin with a bit. :)

I'm starting to get my mojo back :woohoo: I've just been going through stuff that needs organising to put in the cases for turkey.

I know it's way in advance, but what we're doing is taking the cases with us when we go to manchester at the beginning of june and leaving them at Chris' mum and dad's house. Which means we don't need to drag all the clothes we buy back to wales to take back to cheshire again later in the week. So I'm just going through things like counting the pairs of shorts Chris has, or the bikini tops I have and it's making me look forward to it and start thinking that I need to get the weight loss moving in the right direction again.

Ohhhhh and 7 up zero lollies are totally yum  Just be careful with how much you fill the moulds as mine leaked all over the freezer drawer. I've had 2 already, but it took a whole can to make 4 so really I've had a little bit less than half a can :D

OMG you're so well organised. You put me to shame. If I'm going away I count myself organised if I pack the day before rather than the day of the holiday. I think I have the lolly shapes too so I might give then a go but I'll bear in mind what you say about them expanding as they freeze. Good to hear you've found your mojo too. :)

Hi Rosielea :D thank you xx

Does anyone find that they get more satisfied with healthy stuff, that the choccy and crisps doesn't satisfy you like it used to? When I had breakfast this morning I was stuffed and I felt more satisfied than I think I ever did when I wasn't doing sw :woohoo:

I've just gone through the cupboards and sorted out food to take to mum's for tonight and tomorrow night (Chris is on night duty and I've arranged for loads of parcels to be delivered there so I need to go with him). Most of the space in the bag is taken up with fruit, then 3 litres of water. I've put some ww bacon in the bag and mushrooms so I'll probably have a red day tomorrow and have a sw version of a fry up tomorrow night  Then I think thursday might be back to a green day :D EE was just way too confusing for me and I love the fact that on green I can have extra cheese and use meat / fish as a hexb so that I don't eat too much bread. Though I may occassionally switch to EE for a day if I want meat with pasta.

I used to love Green days but now I do a mixture of EE and Green with an odd Red day thrown in (when I need a fix of Red meat). Yes I agree eating proper food give you much more satisfaction than junk food. I used to live on junk food (mainly sandwiches, crisps and occassional cakes) but now I try to eat very little bread (have not had any since Thursday). Have a lovely time at your mum's.
