Deflating the Bouncy Castle

Lush is all I can say!

Well deserved too, obviously. I cant believe you managed to do all that shopping without so much as a stop in one over priced cafe of sorts, blimmin amazing

thanks, yeah, my friend wanted to go to harrods to buy her boyf an alexander mcqueen 'hoodigan' (yeah, me neither), and all i could think was LADUREE MACAROONS! but no. she brought a little pack of falafels with her, which she surreptitiously scarfed at intervals when he thought i wasn't looking, and i had a tetra while i was waiting for her to pay for something. very dull.

i want afternoon tea, dammit!

Yeah me too! But imagine how much better it would taste when it's being eaten in a size 12 wiggle dress wearing your lanvin pumps! See it's all about the vision!

yeah - no plans to go down to a twelve, but point taken. ;)

2lbs off this week. not a huge psych boost to see me through my abstinent xmas, but ho hum, what can you do?

Oh! Spangles! That must be so frustrating, especially after last week's loss. Then again you body must be wondering what on earth is going on so hanging on to every fat cell but we know that that won't be for long and you'll get a whoosh next week. However, 2 pounds is still a pretty good loss and your overall loss is pretty amazing! From where I am sitting (green eyed monster though an affectionate one) you are looking pretty trim and gorgeous and have Lanvin pumps and a Vivienne Westwood bag to go with your goregous other wardrobe items no doubt!.
Bah! Off to have another stab at the decluttering soon!

Slip on your new shoes, admire your gorgeous nails and tell yourself how blimmin gorgeous you are!

Shall I remind you again what 2lbs of fat looks like? 4 packs of butter.........eugh! xxx

Yeuch - that works for me! :p

Hon, you have had some amazing losses and shown incredible determination - enjoy your new handbag and plan what you can get in the sales to go with it.

it's a purse, btw. for putting money and cards in. But yes, i am enjoying it.

i'm fine. i have just long thought i'd be in the thirteens for xmas, and short of a sneaky extra weigh-in i won't be, and even then, it's by no means certain. nev' mind. it's just numbers.

LMAO, what a brilliant blog, that really cheered up my afternoon thanks :D

hurrah!

what has cheered up my afternoon is that my box of stuff from slim and save has arrived, in time for us to go to edinburgh tomorrow. actually, i have enough CD stuff to last til we get back, but not much more than that - so was getting a bit anxious.

Had already eaten a CD bar today, but will try the spag bol and cottage pie later and let you all know how they are.

the slim and save bars are weeny, though, about 60% the size of the CD ones. sceptical that they will be as filling.

Oh yes, might be good to add abit of variety later in the diet so look forward to hearing what you think of them!

Especially spag bol & cottage pie, real-ish food yay!

ok - my verdict on spag bol: it smelled and looked the business when it came out of the microwave... obviously don't expect much by way of 'spag' - but it looked pretty bolognaisey.

taste wise it was fine. nice, even (not compared to real food, but in the realms of TFR products). certainly as nice as my favourite cd soups (chicken&mushroom and tomato). It's a treat to eat something semi-solid, and i'd be happy enough to have it once a day if i was doing slim and save. it tasted like a product i used to buy as a student called 'beanfeast' - unmistakable springyness and weird background flavour of textured vegetable protein / soya mince, in a synthetic tomato flavouring. tomatoey in the same sense as tomato flavoured crisps, and with that same sort of spiciness. spiciness wise, it's stronger than the cd spicy tomato soup by a fair stretch, but i never eat spicy food cos i'm a wuss, and this was not uncomfortable.

verdict - nice enough, glad i bought them and will enjoy them, but won't bother to order again. also: a bit more faff to prepare than i'm used to.

tonight: cottage pie.

Enjoy Edinburgh (it's where I work). Princes Street gardens with the funfair and the lights is really pretty in the evening.

thanks - my husband's family live there so we go quite often. never been to the gardens, though.

so - i've just had the cottage pie.

now the consensus on the slim & save forum is that this is too bland, and disappointing in comparison to the spag bol. i disagree, and found it just as nice, and possibly nicer because it doesn't have that very 'fake' flavour overload. but then i've never been fond of strongly-flavoured crisps, which is what the bolognaise reminded me of.

anyway. it was savoury and comforting. the approximation of mashed potato which provides the overall texture was very comforting and filling. at the moment, i really feel like i might want to find a way to incorporate this into the plan. tho, i'm not sure how i'd convince my cdc to let me have fewer products.

Sounds good so far then! Any chance you could take a piccy next time you make one?
Would be nice to have something like those on cold nights as the soup gets abit sickly sometimes!

neither of them look very appetising, but i will do.

Does sound good - something to keep in mind definitely. I had never heard of it before.

Ah thats what I thought, seen a LL cottage pie and it didn't look very yummy...
But if they taste good I'm sure its worth it!
