Put half a pound on but I don't know why!! My leader said it could be fluid & she sees it happen regularly. I need to take her word for it. i feel so disheartened :-(

I can't see you have done anything wrong and it does happen. Maybe the new routine of being back at work had caused your body to go into shock. I'm sure it will be off and more next week. Don't worry about it - you have done so well. I know it's easier said than done but look at the positive rather than the negative xxx

Has happened to me loads before. When I started I was getting dramatic losses every week, then down to a pound/ 1/2 a pound a week, then some weeks I would go up a bit or stay the same but when I looked at it overall I was still losing over a few weeks but just more gradually. Definitely nothing to be worried about - you have been doing everything right so you should see a loss again next week :) As the others said, weight fluctuates naturally by a pound or two...even over the space of the day.

Thank you everyone for your kind words. I know you are all right, but it doesn't stop me feeling disheartened & reaching for the biscuit tin. Why do we do that????
Mrs G, I didn't think about the return to work routine affecting me, you're probably spot on.
I'll be positive about this, look forward not back & as teacheronww says looking at the overall picture, the weight loss balances out.
Libby, I haven't thrown in the towel yet, I've come too far.
I'm still focussing on wearing something nice at Christmas and not my usual 'sack of potatoes' look I've had in previous years! xxxx

That chicken pie looks amazing! What is the hairy dieters?

It's the hairy bikers but they have a recipe book called the hairy dieters. It's a fabulous book, full if lovely recipes and the family have loved everything I've made so far?
The pie is chicken, smoked ham, onion, leek, white wine, creme fraiche, a chicken stock cube and filo. The recipe asked for 1kg of cooked chicken, but I did it with 4 breasts. It made 5 of these pies & my wee fella (who's 8) has asked for it for his dinner tomorrow :) xx

Wow...I thought it was a brand. Looks very professional, assumed it was bought!! What pastry to you use?

Haha, no it was all me. thank you for the compliment :-D
It was filo pastry from the freezer section in Tesco.. You get 6 sheets in a pack but the recipe needs 3, so the other 3 are in the freezer for next time xx

Wow, it looks amazing! Yum! Room for one extra for tea tomorrow? ;) I'm sure you'll look gorgeous for Christmas (though, you do anyway!) :) xx

And indeed, you've come so far and you should be so proud of yourself, not only for persevering but for resisting so much temptation/getting through such a difficult time with the recovery and still staying strong and determined. You've got so much willpower and you really are an inspiration to so many people, I'm sure your son looks up to you and is beaming with pride at the fact he can call you his Mum, and of course, why wouldn't he? :)

food looks lush again

Aww Libby, your words melt my heart!! Thank you SO much for that!! I hope my son will be proud, maybe when he's older and understands!
I've come too far to throw it all away, I wouldn't do that, it's just the frustration getting to me!!
I hope people get some ideas from me, I'd like to think that I have maybe sparked their imaginations and got them thinking about more than salads!! If I can help just one person, it makes it worthwhile.
You have made me smile, warmed my heart and made my day. I'm now off to work with a smile :)
Thank you (((())))xxxx
