thankyou all! I didn't manage to do the film as it took a lot longer to load the shots onto my friends laptop. But we did manage a walk on a wind swept beach, lunch at roskilly's and we are just relaxing before going out in an hour to have a meal with friends. It's been a really nice day, even though it tipped it down and has been gusty....feel it's blown the cobwebs away. And funnily enough, my bump has dropped andcan breath again! I probably did a mile today no problems, it's like being back in the last trimester. That's been a lovely birthday prezzie! oh oxygen how I have missed you!

Baby has dropped, so am glad I can breath again....but a little worried that by all accounts this means baby may come any time now or in a few weeks. Would be happy as long as I go near to 37 weeks, does make me think that, i may get no time off b4 baby comes.....eeeek!
I know 1st babies often engage early...but that aside, will make sure this weekend that my important bits are in the same place

Glad baby has engaged, but don't fret it's normal for them to engage way before arriving ((hugs)).
My bump is engaged too (but can dip in and out as she's a 2nd bubba). I know Erin engaged 'when due to' as well so don't fret.

I could be wrong but I think she will be here b4 the 40th week. I have been having intermittant pressure in my pelvis, like baby is a lot lower....it just feels like baby is gonna come soon.
I am also wondering if the hospital got their dates right, it fits better with my dates that put me nearer the 10th of dec, for my due date. I might be wrong but I would be surprised if I am still pregnant in 4 weeks. I think I have about another 3 weeks to go (hmmm, or less)

I get times of pressure low down too (in my privates) - so think it's just baby practising or playing! lol
Will have to wait and see how we go, baby will arrive when they're ready and not before (well unless we're induced of course). lol

hi Jane, hi everyone, I guess your all asleeep but......aaaaah, awake in middle of night again! have been awake last 2 hours, we seem to have had strong winds every night for last 4 nights, it's hitting the bedroom window with occasional torrential down pours. That and I just can't get comfortable. Had major BHicks yesterday hours of indigestion and bump being swollen and clenched all day, bleugh!
Anyway, will make myself another couple of hot water bottles, I find one at the base of my back a comfort and have been getting nagging aches all over my body elbows, wrists, knuckles and shoulder blades...it's nice to have another bottle just to ease the ache in those places. My wish at the moment is to have some decent uncomplicated luxurious sleep, I know I won't get it once babs is here. All I want is some non-achy undisturbed sleep. Can't seem to get it though! pooh.
Anyway will be going on a hospital tour later today, that should be fun. That and I have the one and only antenatal class offered to me on Monday from 10am-2pm. It's local so will probably go to work before and after it. Then have another tour at mw led unit on Tues.
Okay, better try and go back to sleep. Will have to take ear plugs with me. I can hear the wind howling down the chimney in the sitting room and the rain pounding the windows upstairs. Oh joy! I may try listening to the radio on my mp3 player down low to cut out the noise of the weather.

Not been on much, just getting through the day trying to walk/breath whilst really swollen & counting off the days til I finish work. I will do a bit of a summary, just so I remember really

Not been on much, just getting through the day trying to walk/breath whilst really swollen & counting off the days til I finish work. I will do a bit of a summary, just so I remember really
- baby dropped 11 days ago so have been able to breath a bit better
- had been sleeping very little but now only waking about once in the night.
- Am now 35+ weeks, wondering if baby will make an appearence soon
- Got a headache in the week, was checked over, had raised bp and little protein in water, but it resolved itself,
- dr said i should have a scan at 37 weeks but didn't put it in writing, said my midwife would sort it(?) think that's unlikely, but will get on to her about it
- I go from being quite relaxed about having a baby to being really worried that something will go wrong, but I am mainly okay
- I am huge! really huge (and have gone from a 38b to a 38e!!! hahahahaha)
- Baby is kicking lots and lots
- Have suddenly got into ebay to get nursery stuff, have got some 'dylan and daisy' & some 'I love my bear stuff'.
- Was going to take myself to Next this morning, but it's blowing a hooley and promised hubby I wouldn't go anywhere til he came back from a half day at work
- I only have 4 more working days til my maternity leave! I waver between not being able to wait, to realising I will miss some of my work colleagues
- I wonder how I will adapt to my new role.....

I've not been around much either.. funny this time of pregnancy isn't it.. mixed blessings really - want baby to arrive but then a bit anxious about it all. ((Hugs)) all perfectly natural.
Wow at mat leave starting next week. It's natural to wonder how things will change, but honestly I think work pretty much stays the same! lol your commitments outside of work obviously are different but work colleagues will be there ready to welcome you back. And if you are like me you'll pop in with babe in arms to show little one off! lol
Amazing to think how time has gone so fast and that you're due in less than 5 weeks now! I'm heading for 5 weeks tomorrow.
Hope you get a scan - I'd love one but they don't do them here. lol
