Diet coke chicken

I've tried this twice now. First time with Coca Cola light (diet) then with Coke Zero.

If I had tried it with Coke Zero first I would never have made it again - we really didn't like the taste - will be sticking to Coca Cola light in future when making this.

I'm having this tonight I 've had it loads of times but not for ages. I'm gonna use pork , onions peppers and mushrooms and the usual sauce ingredients.

DIET COKE CHICKEN
1 x can of diet coke
6 tbsp of Passata
...2 x chicken breasts
onions, mushrooms and peppers
1x tbsp of Worcester sauce
i also added some herbs and spices (your own personal taste)

cook onion, garlic and peppers for a couple of mins in fry light, then add the mushrooms, thinly slice the chicken breast and fry until golden. Mix the Passata
Worcester sauce and can of diet coke in a jug and add to the chicken and veg mix and reduce down till its like a sticky sauce. tasted like a BBQ sauce and serve with boiled rice. YUM (",)

I always add chinese 5 spice too, makes it taste really chinesey!!!

mmm this was absolutely delicious!! i was in two minds as a friend said she had cooked it yesterday and it wasnt very nice, but i thought i'd give it a go anyways, and im so glad i did! it was lovely. i'm going to have the rest for lunch tomorrow with a salad so hopefully it tastes as nice cold as it did hot! xx

A friend of mine also ever liked it but I found out that she never evaporated all the coke and had a runny sauce!! She tried it since and loves it...
