DOING SW FROM HOME???

Hi spinme! Sounds like you are in a very similar situation to me. I've sent you a friend request, in case you want to 'buddy up' and help each other do this without meetings!

I'm really impressed with how well everybody here has done, it is very inspiring. Maybe if I stick around some of it will rub off on me!

Rosie thats fabulous you've done amazing well

Jen another 4lbs off fab I hope I loose something this week, (I'm changing my WI day from Wed to Saturday morning, that will keep me motivated on a Friday night and I then have a week to put right any naughtiness on a Saturday) so I will only have been on plan for five day this week when I WI so I do hope I've lost something....

Tilly you're doing fab, group must be suiting you but we know you can do it here too...xxx

Spinme this group is amazingly supportive, there is always someone around to help with queries or to listen to your moans about a bad day etc etc you don;t get that at group and I think that really helps... you've already got the basics from going so you can build on that... I've never been to slimming world class but I've lost the most weight in my life ever just through this site so it does work... And if you've got a hubs like that too even better... mine is hopeless I'll cook SW for myself offer him some and he'll go urghh not eating that.. then the sod will try it partway through the meal and proceed to eat most of it telling me I never said it would taste nice like that...

Lucy just a thought, have you been eating the superspeed soups with all the beans etc, I love beans I love soup etc etc, but the superspeed soup just makes me so ill that I can barely move with stomach pains if I have it, I don't think my body can cope with the overload of beans etc...

Zara... have you looked up the recipe for the synless pancakes here... they taste fab and might work better on your griddle than they do in my pan, you basically seperate your eggs, whisk the whites until stiff, add beaten yolks and vanilla esscence (and maybe a little sweetner if you like them sweet) lightly so you get a frothy batter type mix ( I can't remember if you add some hex milk). Then cook them like ordinary pancakes, you just need to be gentle with them.. I do them with banana, strawberries and blueberries with a dab of honey and they are almost like eating my fave. pain perdu from cafe rouge.. mmm

Right back to putting the house to rights after the six weeks hols I have no idea where to start first... help

Hi synstar welcome to our little world

Ultrabluedress, thank you for that recipe, will give it a try soon, home today for a change and definitely have the munchies!! Pancakes, bananas and blueberries!!

Just realized there are no eggs in house, must go for a walk to farmyard now for eggs, another good thing, more walking!

Happy with my exercise this week, went for a brisk hour long walk with husband and Husky, and walked this morning with a few friends after school run.

Will weigh in tomorrow, hope I have a good result!!

mmm fresh eggs even better.... enjoy, if you use honey though you have to syn it ;)

Awww you have a husky, they're beautiful there are quite a few of them around here, my eldest daughter is obsessed with them...

My husband has always wanted a husky, our girls are not babies anymore so he finally got one. I was not interested in a new small being of any sort.....I always end up looking after them!! Of course, when he brought her home I feel in love and she is my pet and constant companion!
Made the pancakes, gorgeous, I used maple syrup for 2 syns, well worth it! And I feel so full! I will make them again, and the griddle was brilliant, made all three at one time, so quick and easy.
Thanks again!

Thanks all, very chuffed. Can't wait to hit 3 stone, just 4lbs to go so hopefully by the end of the month. All on my own too, well and you guys!

Just bought the new sw mag so gonna sit down with a cuppa and my ww chocolate brownie when little'un is asleep. It's got a fab recipe booklet 'takeaway faves made lighter', ooooh!

Lucy, I know there's no such thing as eating too much fruit/veg, but do you think that might be causing it?? I see no reason why the fish would, as long as it's fresh and in date, but quite often eating veg soup as well as other veg, and lots of fruit in a day can cause a bit of gas :) I can't really say cut back on it though, haha! I would keep eating the fish though, as I can't believe it would be that...

Wow!! Well done Jen, Tilly and Rosielea :D I'm really hoping I get a loss on monday, I know it's only been two days so far but I'm finding it so much harder this time round! So many temptations... I hope I can get back into the rhythm of it soon!! xx
Everyone is doing so well! I had a sneaky weigh this morning (not really due until monday) and I've lost what I put on over the weekend which has really cheered me up and spurred me on :0icanfly:
Lucy I think any change in your diet is bound to affect your digestion - it's not used to all the fish. I agree with Laura though, stick with it - it obviously fills you up and stops you having big meals in the evening. Might give it a try myself as that is one of my problems - stopping eating so much in the evenings and although I'm not a big meat lover I do like fish.

Oooh I might try and pick up the SW mag later and have a read...

Talking of reading my hubs is a sly one... he's been reading 50 shades apparantly .... he said he found it boring......

I'm going to read it myself finally later yay

Ooh there's a new mag?? Might have to go get it later :D Just been for my first proper pedicure at this s****y spa in the posh part of where I live because I got given a £20 voucher for there from some lovely people for my birthday and thought it was worth the extra £6 I'd have to pay (with a 10% discount for my first visit there) and it was AMAZING!! Most relaxing and lovely thing ever, and it was so worth it :) seriously tempting to waste whatever money I have left in my savings account on more treatments :D off to blog about it haha! I'm obsessed :p xx

Ahh Jen that'll be fab you've done so well!

My consultant was telling us about that free little reicepe book she said it was brilliant!

There's loads of reicepies on the SW website so if anyone fancies anything in particular let me know and when I'm on the laptop I can paste it on here. I use my IPhone a lot so it's hard to do!

Oooh, fifty shades is good, it took me a day to read each one :p I'm tempted to read them all again...

Hello all especially all the newbies :wavey:

Tilly I am so jealous I have never been in the 9's well done. I bet you are thrilled.

Lucy I feel like that when I am really good and eat lots of veg and fibrous stuff if you are consistent though it does ease off after a while

I have just joined online , there was a voucher code when I googled so it was too good to resist. I am missing being able to type into the electronic diary and also check syns. So if anyone needs any syns or info just let me know.
I made a lovely beef casserole today and it was ready as soon as I came home as I used the slow cooker. I am going to try and use it more often as it meant tea was ready ASAP and no cheating whilst waiting for it to cook. I must try and organise next weeks menu/ shopping list to make sure I can have something ready each night.

I started on Sunday and am doing it from home too (although have all the up to date books).

I'm a veggie and so will be doing 100% Green days.

The new mag is staring at me, waiting to be unwrapped after my lovely SW friendly Lentil Shepherds Pie!!

does anyone have any recipes i can use as I'm doing my weeks shopping tomorrow and i have an awful habit of going in and not buying ANYTHING thats good for me - just rubbish. NEED TO PLAN AHEAD! :) well done to everyone so far on their Slimming World Marathon ;)

jeveuxtarevanche - a good recipe that lots of SWers use, and one which I've made twice - once today which was sooo delicious - is diet coke chicken. The way I do it is to 'fry' off some cubes of chicken breast fillet, then remove and set aside, fry onions until soft, add peppers and mushrooms, then a whole can of diet coke, a tsp of mustard powder, a tsp of chicken seasoning and about 100mls passatta. Then you bring to the boil and allow it to reduce until the sauce is nice and sticky - oh! Adding the chicken about halfway through so it cooks properly, but doesn't go dry from all the boiling. Really yummy and syn free!! I have it with plain boiled rice and this amount makes enough for about 4 meals, and you can freeze it :)

I also suggest my jambalaya which is really yummy and makes a big amount which can also be frozen: http://www.minimins.com/slimming-world-recipes/284520-no-syn-jambalaya.html
