Oh hun, I'm with you! My hormonal weeks last ages, it's soooo crap. Despite loosing lots of weight, I still get really frustrated and peed that I just can't eat normal food. By normal, I mean to not have to think about every little thing that goes in my mouth! I do get really annoyed. Thankfully it doesn't last long. Shopping tomorrow, so need to get lots of nice snacks in!

You've done really well charl, just a pants hormonal week. Hopefully you're not coming down with anything, dose up my lovely x x

Well done to people who have lost, but an equal well done to people who've maintained - it may not feel as good as if you've had a loss, but it's still a hard thing to do, and if you think that if you weren't following the plan it could easily have been a gain - it all adds up :)

Thanks for the support and hugs guys, it really does make me feel so much better. Went out agaaaiinnn last night - my friend's 21st and probably the last time I will have seen him as he's moving to France for the year :( Also the last time I will ever see most of the ex-friends from that group, so it was a weight off my mind to know I won't have to put up with such immature people again :)

Feeling worse for the wear, and am going to have an 'off' morning (don't shout!) but fully intend to get back on the wagon by dinner time at the latest. Really craving a curry (saw someone mention a slow cooker one??) but it's the one thing I've never had success with cooking, and it's so annoying! I can make a mean pasta dish, yummy casseroles, chillis, rice dishes - just CURRIES!! I cannot make them. Does anyone have any tips for me? I know they are really simple, they just never turn out right for me... Idiot much?! :p Would love to make a prawn and veg one for dinner tonight :) Would help get me back on SW in the next few days too to have some food I can actually eat. xx

As promised I've looked in the curry book there is a prawn curry, but it's got lots of ingredients in it that even I don't keep in (tamarind paste?) and it's not free as it has coconut milk in it. It does sound lovely though and the new sw mag has a couple of recipes using low fat coconut milk so I might be tempted to try it if I can get the ingredients.
 
I was looking at curry pastes today and tom yum paste is really low in syns so you could make a Thai soup with it and add some massive prawns, then just do some sticky jasmine rice to mop up the soup that's what I do then it's more like an evening meal than a really light soup. It was sainsburys where I got the paste today but loads of places do it.

Ugh it's rubbish isnt it Jen. I just feel like I'm always watching everything i eat. Saying that when I didn't on hol I still didn't really gain I just didnt lose and I'm def not happy yet. Sometimes i look at myself at cant see any change at all but it must be there as 2 and a half stone is quite a lot. I just want to be done with it now, feels like I've been dieting forever! Xx

Just been reading through the comments and I deffo recommend using all your syns and treating yourself if u fancy something! Im naughty every week and still manage to lose so must be doing something right!
I know I don't lose big each week but at least I'm not putting anything on and I am seeing it as a way of life rather than a diet xx

2.5 stone is AMAZING! It's a real achievement, you should be really happy and proud of yourself. I bet you look totally different, sometimes we don't see it as look at ourselves every day. Been feeling pants this week, went to the hairdressers and she didn't recognise me! It's only been 8 weeks, I forget how much I've changed at times. I bet if you look back at photos, you would see a change. What are you aiming for? I'm 12st2lb now, going for 11stone but if it keeps coming off then great!! x x

Sorry you're feeling crap, but totm is horrible and you really do need that sugar to get you through it so don't worry! You've done amazingly, and I couldn't even count the little bit of cake as a real blip, so I know you'll get back on it today :)

Jen, you really do have the willpower of a saint, I always have to sneak one from the bag if the others are having chips! I should just take my saveloy and run really :p

Aiming to be back on plan today, I CAN DO IT! I think... Going out for nandos at lunch, but I know all the syns so it's good :) Hope everyone's having a good day xx
 
Wahoo! me and me mate went to get takeaway the other night, they went for donner meat, chips and burger, I had jacket potato with cheese tuna and baked beans and no butter, so proud! Holiday is two weeks today, worried that because that is my motivation at the minute that when I get back home my motivation will go :(
 
Well I'm not really bothered about what I actually weigh its more how I look/feel so my goal is just healthy BMI range for now which is 12.8 for my height I think, but I might want to go a bit lower when I get there. We'll see. Your hairdresser didn't recognise you! Wow. That must have felt strange, in a good way. How far to go to get that goal Jen??

Tilly your doing fab now! Sometimes it's takes a while to make the diet work for you doesn't it. When I started took me 2 proper goes before I realised I needed to cal count as well as SW as I have to control portions too. So I eat the SW diet totally but cal count what I do eat. I've noticed red/green days you naturally consume less but EE as you mix carbs and protein which are both high in cals then it doesn't work as well for me. I think I'll do EE long term tho as a maintainence when i get to goal.

Still feeling really hormonal shouted at bf for not really anything this morning. Ugh. I have to say sorry now, I'm rubbish at apologising as I'm so stubborn. Xx
 
Sorry I read that totally wrong jen! I'm so slow today! I read it as 12st2 was your goal but your aiming for 11. durr. xx

Hey! its only 28cals a tbsp which is all you need to make 1 portion of the soup, so 1.5syns. I'm going to make some tomorrow so I'll let you know if its nice. All you add is fish stock, mushrooms, coriander, prawns, (if you want) and spring onion, so everything else is free. I was going to add some quartered tomatoes and beansprouts maybe as well. I wish I'd done a cooking class in thailand now and learnt how to make it properly as the soup there was unreal, theres one where you add a tiny bit of coconut milk too which I might do also as I love that one and a tiny bit of reduced fat coconut milk is hardly any syns.

Yep back on plan today, and planning our dinner. All I can think about it pudding and cake and gateaux! argh! haha. Oooo nandos, nice! I'm gonna make the thai soup tomorrow and a penang curry as I miss it! xxx
 
Aw thanks Charl :D I'll look out for it, let me know how it goes for you when you make it :) sounds yummy though! Have heard of it before, didn't know you could get a paste to make it with though :)

Have you tried the half syn roulade?? Looks kind of cakey/gateaux-y and for only half a syn for the whole thing haha... You could make loads of them and still be within syns! :p Other than that, I would suggest the Mr Kipling snap packs, 1 slice of cake is 4.5 syns and usually works for me as they're quite rich :) xx
 
No worries! No I hadn't realised they did pastes for it either, was so stupid, should have totally stocked up on pastes when I was away but didn't think! We have a massive asian supermarket in town its huge so am hoping they'll have everything I could possibly want in there, as we keep meaning to go in and stock up as we both love all that kinda foods. Going to make some tofu rice as well as I got kinda addicted to it when I was away.

Oh I was just thinking about that roulade last night actually!! Theres a choc version which is higher in syns but really nice, so might make that tonight for tomorrow as well :)

Anyone have any ideas for my dinner tonight? Red day meal ideas?? I have a zillion for EE and green but I always get stuck with red days!

Feeling really disheartened today :cry:as I had a sneaky weigh this morning and despite only 1 day short of 2 weeks completely 100% on plan I have STS. I know my clothes feel looser and I have upped my exercise so I have most likely changes shape/increased muscle mass etc. but I was sooooo dissapointed :(. My proper weigh day is sunday morning so I suppose there is still a bit of hope. Going out to the pub straight from work tonight and I can't tell you just how much I want to just say 'knickers to it' and drink and eat what I like :sigh:

Oh hun, big hugs. It really sucks when you try so hard and don't see results. But you will really soon! If you've stepped up the exercise, your body could well be holding onto water to repair muscles. Maybe you're in for a big loss next week. Don't loose heart, or as you say your knickers (love it!) Also, 2 days is time enough for a loss. Drink lots of water! x

My staple dinners for red days are shepherds pie with root veg mash, marianted salmon with stir fried veg, curry with cauliflower instead of rice, ww sausages with butternut squash wedges, chicken and veg fritata/omelette, steak or pork chops with veg/root veg mash. I basically just have 2/3 of my plate veg with meat or fish of some sort. Or a massive salad :)

Moorcroftmiss, the potato curry sounds great, will be making it tomorrow when I have time to watch potatoes cook for 45 minutes (lol), I love the weekend!
Not sure if any of you know of Dr. Oz, he used to be a guest on Oprah and has had his own show for a few years, he is now on British TV (Discovery Home and Health), he is so good at educating viewers on healthy eating, lifestyle and health issues. He also has a website with a daily newsletter.
Must get out and go for a walk later (feeling sooooo lazy!!!) I have one more school run to do, and then I might put sw chips in the oven and walk while they are cooking. Cooked frozen pizza for the younger kids for their tea and I am holed up in the bedroom until they are finished....I love pizza!!

Well I didn't exactly get back to plan! Had fish and chips for tea. Only ate half tho man my appetite is loads smaller than it used to be. Which can't be a bad thing! I gave my now obese cat the rest (of the fish) I can't believe how fat he got in the 2.5 weeks my mum had him. Me and bf are all poorly and feeling crap it's how we made fish and chips ok in our head. I haven't eaten badly today apart from that tho, and we classed it as our weekly treat so just going to have to be really good tomorrow and Sunday now. Do any of you get that? I always seem to get ill after a holiday I think it's all the germs on the planes and we took like 3 of them to get home! Ha! Watching hangover 2 which is making me pretty gutted I'm not waking up to the lebua state tower again where we stayed as they filmed some of it there. I'm lonely too as bf works nights so I'm on my own and feeling sorry for myself. :( boohoo and massive backache from totm. Eeee sorry for the moan! What a bore!

I love pizza too, I always end up pinching some of the kids if they have it! The new SW mag had some pizza recipie in tho which look good and about 6 syns if i remember rightly.
