Holy cows 12+ syns for a mince pie. I was going to trat myself to one later at the playgroup party but at 12 i might not esp as i bought the wrong drinking yoghurts for ells and now have to use those up at 3.5 syns each

Hope the boys are on the mend soon jen and youre feeling better charl and laura xx

Feeling all yuk and bloated just know im going to have gsined this week even though i was good apart from xmas lunch on wed and i have been keeping syns down to compensate :(

Well done on almost being at target jen x

Red day today for me. Packed my party food for this morning apple satsuma banana and one of those bloody yoghurts

Ham and egg salad for lunch might kake it a ploughmans with pickles. And absolutely no idea for dinner yet. Might get hubs to make me some more of his lovely sw chips he did last week

My boys are getting better, finally, what a week!

Supposed to be going out to a works christmas party tonight, at a comedy club. I really can't be bothered tho, doesn't help that the weather is horrid. Also have a wedding tomorrow, I'm shattered! No idea what to wear either, I just don't know :-(

Just had turkey stir fry for lunch, filled a hole but wasn't thinking clearly cos I've got a turkey dinner tonight at party!

Ooh, turkey is a speed food isn't it? Double turkey is gonna boost your losses! Glad the boys are alright now :)

Li, the twelve syns for the mince pie I had was a deep fill one that I just worked out by the calories - if you can find smaller ones or ones with less calories then they'll be less syns :)

Had an off plan day yesterday due to just eating what I fancied cause I felt stick and now another, unplanned one today...

Nevermind - back on it tomorrow!

Hiya all!! After lurking around this forum for pretty much weeks now, I have finally registered online for Slimming World! Hurrah!!:D My name is Priya and im 25! Nice to meet you all! I have to say you guys are fantastic and have really inspired me to make this move! I was waiting for the New Years, but I thought **** it im gonna join now! Going to Costco on Sunday and will be doing a hugeeee shop along with planning my meals for next week and come Monday I will be ready to commence weight loss. Congrats on all of your weight losses so far and I'm so excited to be joining (if you'll have me) to support you guys and visa versa! Decided to do it online, because I literally do not have time to go to regular sessions, and the closest one to me is miles away! Anywho's, will report back on Monday for my first SW day.. eeeek!! and hopefully xmas eve I will have a loss to report! (Fingers crossed)

Welcome Priya! Always great to extend our group, everyone on here is lovely and very helpful, someone will always answer any question! Good luck with your weight loss, you sound motivated! Have you got much to loose? Sw is fab and works! :)

Not sure if my breaded turkey will count as a superfree food Laura lol!!

I bought a mini skirt in asda yesterday, only £5. Am wearing it round the house over thick black tights, have decided it's obscenely short ha!! Looks nice with big wooly jumpers but maybe not for my night out, might be a bit slapper like?! ;)

Oooh I;ve been wondering about getting a skirt like that, I'll have to look in Asda, thought it would then be an excuse to buy some really nice black boots to go with it.... actually just thought it would go with the christmas shoes I bought from asda...
Just for once I'd love to find some black boots that woulld actually zip up over my calves, why don;t manufacturers realise us smaller girls sometimes have big calves....

Welcome aboard priya nice to have you here and well done on starting now rather than New Year, a friend of mine did the same a cople of years ago and had losses upto Christmas, even a few pounds makes a difference to how you feel.

Well weighed in a day early and weight up since last week and I'm still bloated like mad, (wondering if it was the green day I had yesterday) we'll see what tomorrows official WI is...

Well didn't have a mince pie in the end, by the time I'd sorted out the crazy craft set we'd bought for the craft table the kids had eaten all the food, there was a couple of mince pies left so thought I will have one in a minute (12 syns) and by the time I thought about it again, the hall had been double booked so another group came in to set their stuff up and my friend had put the pies in her bag lol total party food eaten one mini sausage, I pom bear and a chocolate button haha ;) I bought some smart price mince pies wednesday so I'll have to check the syns in those, shame the fruit doesn't count as a hex lol

Have a good evening tonight Jen... still trying to sort out our Christmas night with the girls, looks like it's going to mid week next week sometime

Just realised that the skirt I've been wearing is a 10, no wonder it's so short!! It's lush tho, in the teenage section Li! New look boots are great, I have bigger calves, never find boots to fit but all of new look ones did, plus only £40 for knee highs.

It could well be the green day that's bloated you, fingers crossed for tomorrow! Well done on minimal party food!! :)

Welcome Priya - this forum is so good, particularly this thread ;) - its the only thing keeping me on track some days!

Jen that skirt probably looks fab with thick tights and boots - not "slapper like" at all, haha, that made me chuckle!
Glad your boys are feeling better :)

I'm reeeeeeeaaaaally crving chocolate today - argh! My bf wants take away tonight, i've agreed to chinese even though its weigh in tomorrow :/ i usually have crispy chilli beef (i read on here somewhere that thats about 7.5 syns for half a portion, does that seem right?! EDIT: Not Right! Cals 380 = 19 syns = 9.5 syns for half tub) And then i'll probably have some chow mein, not sure on syns for that as i dont have my info with me at work - any ideas?

I struggle with boots and i never thought i had fat calves! But i do, haha. I've not tried New Look though, might give them a go tomorrow when i do my last bit of christmas shopping.

Size 10?! Go you Jen!! :D

It's ridiculous, am sure the label is wrong! But it's just a stretchy cotton so that's prob why. Ooh, didn't mean to offend anyone if they wear mini's and boots!! I just often see people in tight mini skirts that really shouldn't be wearing them and don't want to look like that lol but it's all about the legs or boobs on show. I'm all for one OR the other! But then I am 32!! You younguns are ok lol

I think Chinese is supposed to be pretty sw friendly, am sure it'll be on a thread somewhere. Definitely try new look, I was really surprised :)

I wasnt offended, thought it was funny! I don't wear things like that because my posterior is too large haha. Does look nice on other people though! 32 is still young! I'm 28 in march so not far behind you! :)

Hilarious, gone against my advice and done the legs and boobs out lol! I have a long coat on hiding the skirt at the mo. I need wine!

Have a good Friday evening everyone ;)

Oooh I'll have to have a look in New Look, I never think of looking in there for shoes for myself I might have a little walk over next week and have a look see
and excellent news about the size 10 skirt

Not sure what to have for dinner still, maybe a bologneise again, can't be fussed cooking too much for myself

Wow Jen, a size 10 is amazing.. i'd be stoked, well actually id probably pinch myself first and just assume im imagining things!! And im sure the skirt looks fab on you. I can only pull off a short skirt if im wearing thick leggings and uggs with it, so you cant see as much leg, lol. New look has great selection of shoes, but so has primark these days, i got some really nice studded boots for £12, and ther uber comfortable!!
So glad its friday but im being subjected to indian television, and currently im watching a camel help a woman search for her husband and the camels mother (bizarre i know but thats the beauty of indian dramas, nothing like Eastenders i can tell you that!!)

Anywho's have a great evening skinny ladies!;):bananalove:

Soooo rant time

I struggle loosing weight, hubs knows I struggle and get really frustrated, but once again he's telling me my portions are too big in his opinion, I weigh out meat rice etc anything high end like that and fill up with salad superfree veg etc and he is once again telling me I eat too much in the way of veggies, he can't see I use the veg to fill up so I don't eat too much free food and won't believe that cutting down on veg isn't enough to affect weightloss..... whilst he eats crap, which he tells me he doesn't, (He's been to macdonalds three times this week and chip shop twice so far he's going again tonight) so figure that comment out, his attitude seems to be you have far too much on your plate regardless of the fact it's low cal, fat free food.... Yes my portions of spag bol mght look use but thats because of how much tomato and mushrooms in the sauce is on the plate and not the amount of pasta and meat I have with it. His other helpful comment was eat what we all eat but smaller portions and see if that helps, but if I do that I'm going to be eating way over the calorie allowance that I need to loose weight....

I've been stuck now trying to put on the 7 pounds I gained in August for what seems like forever... I lost 21lb Jan to Aug, put back on 7lb and just can't understand why it's not coming off again... I know it's not a miracle diet where I'll loose pounfds like crazy and I'm okay with that but it's the fact nothing is shifting at all I just fluctuate up and down between two weights for what seems forever now. I don't eat unless I'm hungry, I've stopped the attitude I had where I always had two hex a and b's a day because I was "Entitled" to them and I don't always have the fulls syns a day so I really can't see what else I can do now to boost things again....

Rant over time to find something to eat, not sure what yet, uninspired now and know that someone is going to be scrutinising my plate...grrr...

Well done on the size 10 Jen! I bet you look great and I hope you're having a great night!

Aw Li :( I absolutely hate it when people comment on what I eat and it makes me feel terrible and self-concious even if I'm ok with what I'm eating - try to ignore him as best as you can, though I know exactly how horrible it is. It really does sound like there's some other reason that this weight is not shifting - are you maybe taking a tablet now that you weren't then that might have weight gain as a symptom? That's what happened to me a few months back... Other than that, the only thing I could suggest is talking to your GP about other reasons and see if he can do anything to help? It must feel so repetitive and dissapointing to be putting in all this hard work and not getting the results! Lots of hugs sent your way, and I am proud of you for keeping at the diet even though it's frustrating and you're not seeing a result at the moment! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that things magically sort themselves out and that hubby learns to trust your judgement and just support you! xxx

Not a skinny evening or even day for me! Started with a croissant for breakfast, alright lunch, then a sausage roll on the way home from work and then a late night chinese with my nannie this evening! Had a really nice evening though, just me and her and I was wrapping her presents whilst we talked and just had a nice time together :) We're going to do it more regularly now, and I can't wait! It's been the only thing getting me through my horrible day (stupidness at work!) knowing I was going to hers after work :) xx
