Basically it's our holiday... We usually get some financial help towards it ever couple of years as I have 2 disabled children, usually about 1/3 in the form of vouchers (I usually have the voucher before I book it) anyway long story short the help is no longer available... I am struggling to pay my bills as it is & if I cut my losses & cancel it I will be at least £1000 down with 3 very upset kids - hubby says not to panic & it's only money but him been so calm is upsetting me more...

& yeah I'm sure I sound like an ungrateful cow coz it's all about a holiday but just feel stupid that I can never just listen & I always know best

Oh plop! Stop beating yourself up hun. You have made a mistake as many of us do and its lovely that hubby is being calm about it.
Does sound like you need to cut your losses.
I bet the kids will be ok just need an alternative adventure to distract them with xx

Thanks for the help ladies & sorry for being all self pitying hubby still not bothered & says it's not that big of a deal so basically I think it means tightening our belts & really working towards paying it off... My dad has said he'll lend me some money if I'm stuck so I can pay it back when we get back...

DYJHIW, People forget their manners, just been to Asda & people can be so rude, then some stupid cow decided as we approached the round about & I'm on her right, that actually she had right of way, erm, I didn't give in, then at the lights she nearly runs into the back of me, phew I was glad when she went the other way!!!!
