Really interesting thread.

I'm 5ft 5, weigh 19st 1.5 lb and wear a size 24 top and bottom.

Going by my past weight changes i generally hit a 22 around 16.5 - 17 stone. Size 20 15.5 stone onwards. Size 18 is around 14 stone.

This interested me on a few level but I'm 5'7 and a mere 2lbs lighter yet I'm wearing a size 26 and they are a little (very) tight

I'm very 'broad' no excuse but I am, at my last op the anaesthetist insisted I as a masculine jaw!!!! The jaw nearly hit the floor!!!

I'm 5ft 7, 11st 7 and a size 14, for everything, this thread goes to show weight is only part of the equation...there are people on here shorter and heavier than me,but a good clothes size smaller, ( and like wise,taller lighter but a
clothes size the same or bigger)....
Personally I think a lot depends on where we buy our clothes,Primarks size 14 can be tight on me ,lol....but M + S size 14 too big : /

Agree completely with you hon. I'm different sizes in different shops.
I find Penneys (primarks) clothes have gotten very tiny in recent years. I used to have to go a size down in there and now I go a size up lol.

5ft5 10 stone 12.5lb and size 14, sometimes 16 top due to large boobs!! 12 bottoms are perfect on my legs but too small on the waist where as 14s fit my waist but are big on the leg!! I'm a typical apple shape :-/

I am just under 5'6'' (more like 5'5.75'')! I currently weigh 11 st 8 lbs (162 lbs) and wear sz 14 most of the time (some brands I am in a sz 16 (Boden trousers) still and others the sz 14 is getting too loose (Joules!)) so I would say I am a sz 14. My BMI is 26.4

I have been doing my measurements everytime I hit a whole number BMI (I am going to do half BMI when I go below 25 as well and also start doing my bodyfat %) and have these stats:

BMI 32: 43.0 ( 18 ), 37.0 ( 20 ), 45.0 ( 18 ) - Size18/20 - Bra 38F
BMI 31: 43.0 ( 18 ), 36.0 ( 18 ), 44.5 ( 18 ) - Size 18
BMI 30: 43.0 ( 18 ), 35.5 ( 18 ), 43.5 ( 18 ) - Size 18
BMI 29: 42.0 ( 18 ), 35.0 ( 18 ), 42.5 ( 16 ) - Size 16/18 - Bra 36E
BMI 28: 40.5 ( 16 ), 34.0 ( 16 ), 41.5 ( 16 ) - Size 16
BMI 27: 40.0 ( 16 ), 33.0 ( 16 ), 41.0 ( 14 ) - Size 14/16

I also have these historical stats (from when I was 137 lbs/ 9st 11 lbs and age 28 - I am now 40):

BMI 22.5: 36.0 ( 12 ), 27.0 ( 10 ), 38.0 ( 12 ) - size 10/12 - Bra 34D

I want to be something that I can actually maintain and, now I am a bit older, doesn't make me looked drained/older. I don't know what that will be exactly! I am just seeing where I get to. I definitely want to go below BMI 25 though so my max size would be a size 12/14 I guess. I have quite a small frame so I may look best at a sz 10/12. When I got down to the sz 10/12 all those years ago I felt like I could do with losing another 5 lbs or so and becoming a sz 10 but I never managed it. I did feel really good at a sz 10/12 though. I shall go with a vague sz 10-14 and a vague goal weight of 9.5 st to 11 st! I am just taking it one mini goal at a time and see how I feel at each one/how hard it is to get there and stay there.

My goal weight is 8st 12 though.

Yey for the not quite 5ft Crew! My first goal when I dieted was 8Stone 10 as that was a 2 and a half stone loss from my original 11Stone 3 weight. X
