Easter challange 2025

I have stayed exactly the same again.
Ravenous - 17 to lose, lost 0 lbs, 17 lbs to go - Tuesday
Tom-Tranquility. - 20 lbs to lose Lost 6.10lbs, 13.0lbs to go Friday
Tipperary 10kg to lose, lost 0, 10kg to go - Saturday
Ali 28lbs to lose, lost 2lbs, 14.2 lbs to go - Tuesday
Bab - 15lbs to lose, lost 10lbs, 5lbs to go - Saturday
Mandaxx25 10lbs to lose, lost 6lbs, 4lbs to go - Saturday

That's brilliant, considering you've been away Ravenous.
Frustratingly slow for me, but I seem to have got back into my groove a bit. I still think it's going to be a push to get where I'd planned to be, but any loss is good, and I'm just out of the "obese" category now, according to my scales.

1lb off this week:

Ravenous - 17 to lose, lost 0 lbs, 17 lbs to go - Tuesday
Tom-Tranquility. - 20 lbs to lose Lost 7.10lbs, 12.0lbs to go Friday

Lost 7lbs this week. Obviously an amazing result but it's really a more normal 5lbs over the last 2 weeks (carb intake last week messed up my numbers).

I have 4 weeks to go until Easter. I'll try for another 8lbs by the end of the challenge.

That is a fantastic result. Well done. I wish I could lose 7 lbs in a week but my losses are very slow and i go along with it.

It's always easier at the start of a diet to get those big losses. I'm at a 1000 calorie daily deficit, but it's obviously not a sustainable weight loss strategy. The hard part for me is to mentally keep the diet mindset. I don't think I've ever lasted at a diet more than 2-3 months and I'll need to be committed for longer than that to really reach my end goal.

Don't think of it as a Diet but a lifestyle. This way you can adjust to the way that you started looking at food, making friends with it and changing habits. It makes it easier and more likely you stick with it as you change your habits.
I don't calorie count or fast but try to go for the healthier options (not so called reduced calories that are full of additives). My losses are very slow but I am happy with it.
Changing my habits and make friends with food has made me 5 stone lighter over a few years

I totally agree, you need to make a healthy food lifestyle or you'll never keep it off. But a VLCD like fast 800 is never going to be a lifestyle. I'll do this for another 8 weeks max then switch to something longer term.

Love your attitude toward weight loss. Very inspiring.

Of course it isn't plain sailing for me. I fall back to my faulty habits from time to time.

Finally I lost 1 lb. I am happy with that.
