Everyday's a SW day :) x

Oh hun, you have had an up and down week! Sorry I wasnt around! You seem to be back on track with it though. So well done for getting back on the old wagon!

Keep it up, you will get there. Slow and steady and all that.

I like you, like my carbonara a little more saucy that the SW version, I add my HEA of phili light to mine - I do all the necessary prep and then I crack an egg (only 1 needed) into a bowl and then plop my phili light in, then mix - it does go clumpy but it will smooth out, especially if you add a teeny bit of the pasta water. Then I add it to the pasta and stir it on the hob (which I have turned off but is still hot enough to warm the egg mix through. Its really yummy and saucy - not quite Italian restaurant creamy, but it does the job.

yep...slow and steady...and i think i need to remember that failing, would be if i stopped plan altogether...and i definitely haven't!
i think i need to remember to look at the bigger picture! life isn't going to consist of 100% sw days...every single day of life! and if i stop focussing on the numbers and expecting so much, i will avoid the feelings that i really end up giving myself!

thanks for the tips on the carbonara...will maybe try that next time with the philly and see how it goes :)

nice to see you back...hope you're doing really well :D x

That's right. Although I am SOOOOO familiar with that feeling of trying so darn hard all week and being perfect - then jumping on the scales and not being rewarded for all that perfection. That is part of the reason why I stopped going to class. I was sick of saying " I don't know why I STS/Gained, I was brilliant all week" as opposed to someone else saying "I don't know how I have lost 2lb I wasn't very good at all" After a while you feel like giving in and feel like people think you are cheating in some way. Towards the end I would even bother coming to class and then I would just be paying for something I never really cared about. Doing it at home/on here - I am happier kick myself alone after a crappy WI, lick my wounds and come back fighting fit.

Look if losing weight was that easy, there wouldn't be an Obese epidemic! At least we are fighting back and not just giving up and at least we are doing a safe, sensible diet that enables us to eat normally and not starve ourselves. It may be slow, but it does come off!

I am doing ok at the moment to be honest, I feel really positive about weigh tomorrow. I have given bread the heave ho this week to see if it would make a difference and also tried to have salad everyday with some form of protein (either meat or your amazing chick pea loaf - I love it!)

it's good isn't it...and so handy to have either as snack or part of a meal!

i've discovered a love for apple and peanut butter....i don't often eat apples but this is a great way to have one...with the help of the lovely PB itself ;) lol

i've just realised i can't weigh on monday morning as planned cos i have to stay in and wait for a joiner coming :(
phoned to try and arrange an afternoon appointment and explained that i'll literally be out the house for 15 mins but no can do. and it's typical if i nipped out, i'd miss them!
so i'm thinking maybe sunday? but then i like to do a red day before WI and i'm not sure i fancy it on a saturday?? hmmm...not sure when to WI now?x

Can you not WI on Tuesday instead?

i was thinking i could go on the way to work....but then it depends on my clothes...i HAVE to wear the same thing on the scales so that it's the same! lol

or really, i could just get a grip and weigh on sunday...regardless of any potatoes/pasta i've had on the saturday...this is real life right?? x

Ooh lamb kebab - I likey!!! So you could do EE!! Or you could make chips out of HEB of jacket potato, just leave the skin on.

I do make my own coleslaw yeah, but not with ff or yogurt, that sucks! I use light mayo and syn it. You don't need a huge amount of it. I tend to use syns up in food rather than snacks for taste quality, I tried doing it the SW way, substituting things for fat free stuff like quark etc, but some things just can't be subbed.

i've only got extra light mayo...and let's face it...it's naff - dull in taste :(
(love full fat mayo with chips....yuuuum...no wonder i'm on bloody slimming world! lol)

i've used more syns this week on food through out the day and not just treats and i've been ok. just been keeping HEb to have at night instead of my usual wee choc bar or something.

yipppeee.....typing HEb just reminded me i still have 1/2 left i can use - love it when this happens :D x

Your food is looking fab hun!!! What are carrot cake oats?
Do you have any plans for the weekend? x

oooh Jade...they are yummy! (if you like cinnamon anyway lol)
it's just porridge...with a "carrot cake like" twist i suppose :)

found them on here and IG and haven't looked back ;)

i do mine with my HEb 35g oats, a grated carrot, 2 tsp sweetener, 1 tsp cinnamon. give it a wee mix through and cook as normal (either with milk or water...or both lol)
the carrot bulks it right up but you can only really taste the cinnamon...it's lovely! i always half the bowl cos it's loads! and i add raisins and chopped banana to mine :)
would be nice with walnuts too i think...and syrup... x

Love magic porridge too...not had it in a few weeks but sometimes i take some to work, or if i'm at home, have it with mixed berries, grated apple etc...it's lovely and i'd never really eat just porridge so it's great that i can eat oats but just in a different way to boring plain porridge :)

try the carrot cake ones...they are lovely...a bit of a funny texture...but lovely :) X
