(Will)PowerPuff Girl
Hey.
I'm elfy1807, otherwise known as Emma.
I'm 23 and I'm on WW propoints.
Everyone else has got a diary, some are food diaries, but I keep my food logged in my WW journal rather than online.
I'm not brilliant at keeping blogs/journals/diaries online, but I'm gonna give this one a go.
I'm a little obsessed with this site, so I'd imagine I shouldn't have a problem keeping updated.
I've weighed between 12.5 and 13 stone for as long as I can remember.
And last April I went away with some friends to Cornwall, and there was a photo taken of us all, and I look absolutely hideous in it (I'll try and find it somewhere at some point).
It was then that I decided that something had to change.
So I immediately went out and bought a new bike (mine had been stolen about 6 months before) and started cycling, and tried SW with my mum. She does it from home, and had lost about 3 or 4 stone in about 6 months or so, so I thought I'd give it a go.
Then the summer came, and it was far too hot to be cycling (or so was my excuse). Then the autumn and winter came and it was too cold or too raint to cycle. So my bike got unused.
Spring 2013 and I made a pact with my bf (get used to hearing about him - I'm very happy with him, he's a massive support to me although won't take any credit for it, says it's all me, and I tend to brag about how amazing he is - sorry about that, but at least I warned you ) that I bike 25 miles a week.
Well that was fine. I like a good challenge. I was still doing SW, sort of, but you know, Christmas had happened, and I thought sod it, I'll start again in the new year. Except I'm not a great veg lover, and I don't like rice or couscous, so I was constantly living on jacket potatoes & pasta. Don't get me wrong, I love both of those, but it was all I was eating and it was getting boring & repetitive. I just wanted chicken nuggets & chips. And I love love love bread, and limiting that wasn't fun.
So the food wasn't really working for me, so even though I was biking 25 miles a week, nothing was happening.
Then, at the end of March, my mum suggested I try something different, like a calorie counting program, and that's when it hit me - Weight Watchers. My cousin had been doing it for a year and had lost a good amount, she'd know all the details, I'd ask her, and try it from home.
So I started. Stocked up on some WW meals (because I live off convenience food anyway - I'm too impatient to hang around waiting for a meal to be cooked, and cuz they were cheap in my local freezer shop), got some WW snacks and had a go at it.
At the same time, I joined the local gym (something I never thought I'd do - and I go first thing in the morning - something else I never thought I'd do. Getting up early for the gym?!?! No way. I like my bed and being lazy FAR too much.) and am now absolutely obsessed with being down there and doing a nice morning workout then some classes in the evening.
I also joined this site and haven't looked back since.
Anyway, gave it a go for a week at home and got on alright. Lost 2lbs according to my scales. Then mum suggested I go to a meeting, get all the info, and then if I don't want to go back, then I don't have to. And that was my plan. To go, get weighed, get the info and the free gift and never go back. Well, this coming thursday will be my 7th meeting haha. Can't get enough of that either.
The meeting scales put me at 1lb above what I'd weighed myself that week (so I'd lost 1lb altogether).
Since then I have lost 14.5lbs in 5 weeks, and have also lost my 5% body weight and am close to my 10%.
I've also lost a total of 26cm from various parts of my body and my body fat percentage has gone down from 39% to 31.3%.
So WW is definitely working for me.
I enjoy the food, I enjoy the exercise. My days now though revolve around what I'm going to eat and when, and fitting in exercising.
I'm sure I bore people to death keep talking about it, but they say they don't mind.
I'm currently 11st4.5lbs, on 26pp a day, with a goal of 10st.
I can't remember the last time I weighed in the 11s, and definitely not in the 10s, but I'm so looking forward to being there.
I've set up this diary so I can ramble about how my day has been, any struggles I've had, not necessarily about what I've eaten that day, unless I've had something really interesting or really naughty, and also to update my weight.
It's also so I can stop writing essays on the food diaries I follow, and if they want to read them, then they can come here and read them, and not be forced to read them on their pages haha.
I think that's everything for now.
If you've got any questions about me, my food, my exercising, my life, anything at all, or want to buddy up, feel free to leave a comment.
I hope I haven't bored you too much, and well done if you got this far.
Also, I'm not advertising this diary - I'm gonna see how long it takes UKSerena to find it.
Cuz I know she will.
She's a minimins fiend and she can sniff out a new thread like a bloodhound
Love you sweetie haha
Go check out her diary too.
Adios amigos.
Until next time.
But for now, I need to go get some dinner.
