Can any one advise on exercising on a down day, for the past 5 years i have exercised 5-6 days per week, it works around my lifestyle, with work, kids school etc and I can't really change it to suit my JUDDD plan and I am struggling on down days to exercise on such little food :cry:sometimes my calorie burn can come in at 600-700 hundred meaning I consuimg a big decficit (i really should be skinny by now!).

Can any body help?

Loopz did you consult dr J's website for an accurate calorie allowance? He takes on board exercise levels and increases the allowance for it

15 lost : 52 to goal

Hiya, Yeah but at 20% it's only 508 on a down day and 2539. Suppose it's maybe a case of getting used to it. I was trying to half the calorie allowance but today have split into 3 so already ate twice, about to do combat so ill see how I feel doing it this way.

As long as you eat most of the calories you are allowed on your UD you should be able to work out OK on your DD. your body will burn fat to keep you going once it has used all the glycogen stored from the previous days food. You may feel a bit lightheaded if your blood sugar goes very low but if you save some calories for before or after exercise you should be OK. Drink plenty as well. Many exercisers say they actually work out better when on a fast.
