Fair, forty but not fat!

Yup, I was right. I'm 1 lb up after the weekend, but hopefully that'll be gone in a day or two. With it being TOTM as well, it's never going to be a good week for loss but even 1lb down by the end of the week would be an achievement.

I definitely need something to perk me up because it's going well so far and no one can grumble with losing half a stone!

Being crazy-busy at work isn't helping. It's a week full of 12 hour days and I'm shattered already. Going to keep updating here every day for me, because when I look back it does make me feel better about myself, although I do feel a bit like I'm wittering into empty space.

I can do this.

Back to pre-London weight, which is good. Good day ahead planned - full of salads, soups and maybe some meatballs in a spicy tomato sauce.

Late night meetings again tonight. I'm so tired the cross trainer isn't going to be helpful; going to see how much I'm aching when I get in and make a call on it there. With a bit of luck, I can do 10 mins again. I really need to persevere as long as I don't crash out...

Slipped up with a rather lovely large cookie at work. It had cranberries in, so was kind of one of the five a day! Just having soup tonight to compensate and hope that will keep everything nicely balanced out.

Long day again tomorrow. The big plus about being busy is that it's easier not to nibble and to stick well within calorie limits. Usually.

Good day today. Honeyed salmon for lunch, with salad. A bowl of apricots. Mussels in a white wine sauce tonight. And some cheesy nibble bites with salsa for a snack.

Weigh in day tomorrow. STS with a bit of luck...

Yup it's a STS. Pleased but disappointed at the same time. Going to have to fight hard against the feeling that it's pointless continuing if I'm not losing weight. It'd be the alcohol last weekend that's caused it to slow this week. Or I hope so, anyway! I can drop calories further, but I'd really rather not.

Here we go. 100% week and back on the cross trainer on Saturday...

The alcohol. The cookie. It all adds up. Sometimes we just have a slow week anyway. Just keep on, the weight will come off.

Thanks so much for the encouragement, Caz. You're absolutely right, and I'm lb down on the scales this morning.

Got an old colleague who's coming back to work for me coming round tonight for a celebratory meal/drinks. I can do one Gin and Slim without doing any damage, with a bit of luck. 5lbs to go and I'll officially be under 200lbs AND that'll be my first stone gone again. Would be fab to do that by Valentine's Day :) By then, hopefully clothes will be getting a bit looser too.

I'm into my size 16 jeans today. It's a bit of a squeeze and there's a bit of a muffin top, but they're zipped up and I'm not being cut in half. Another half stone and they should fit properly.

Steady on the scales today, although a few glasses of celebratory champers last night, so probably no more movement for a bit. Hopefully I haven't screwed weight loss for another week :/

Things are starting to tick down again now. That's another 1 lb gone this morning. I can see the stone marker from here - it's only 4 lbs away. If I'm really good, that's achievable by Valentine's Day. That would be lovely, as it'll be another charm for the Pandora bracelet - to go with the charm I got when I lost this stone last time! Either that, or I'll put the cash towards a Fitbit Force. The more I think about that, the more it seems like a good idea.

I am never, ever putting this weight on again - no matter what happens.

hi there

Not at all. It's lovely to have the company, it really is :) Looks like your weight loss is going well. Hoping mine will keep going. 4 lbs isn't so far away and that's definitely the hardest bit over with.

thanks its going ok now as dec/jan has seen some highs and lows but back on the straight and narrow now ( trying to have as few detours as poss but i seem to like the scenic route!) i did cambridge for a while in the summer/autumn so it gives you quick results but now back to the tried and tested method.

have you decided what treat your giving yourself on passing through to the 13s? im a chamilia girl myself but i do love a charm so i do!

I hear you on the straight and narrow thing. Just over 2 more stones to lose and then I'm back to where I was in 2011. Doh!

The treat will be when I lose each stone, but I'm not quite sure what I want. It was the Pandora bracelet last time, but I'm not wearing it very often now so I don't know if I want to 'waste' my rewards on that. Might do a cheap theatre trip to London with every stone, or cash towards some fancy shoes. I want to be about 4 stones down, so it could get me some seriously lovely shoes when I'm done.

I'm not sure.

What's your reward?

A decent week. That's 2lbs gone over the course of it, and I'm coming up to my first monthli-versary of the diet in a few days time. Hopefully a little more than 10lbs will have gone by then, but it's a cracking start to the diet.

Avoided the pizza last night when we went out to Pizza Express, and ended up on the salad instead. Starting to feel loads better from the fresh-food diet, so must keep it going. That's the key really, isn't it?

yay that is a respectable total for the week, and well done on the pizza side swerve glad your feeling the benefit of health eating. im a bit static at the mo, no gains so i ll take that but have been a little unmotivated with the odd slip up, still nothing major just waiting for the next diet wave to sweep me up into the zone

I really struggle when I'm being good and the weight doesn't come off. I think it's probably the hardest bit about dieting because it really does play with your head.

1lb down for me this morning, so just 3 left to go for the magic stone marker - and reaching 199lb overall - which sounds so much better than 200+

Good week ahead planned including smoked salmon and egg for brunch. Mmmmmm :)

Just ducking in to keep updating. It's important I do because it's one of the things that keeps me on the straight and narrow. Not lost anything more so far this week, but I'm eating well and avoiding the snacking - which is pretty amazing for me!

Out from 7am to 9pm tomorrow, which is going to be a bit of a killer. Think I'm going to have to go for sushi for dinner, as there's no microwave, so choices are limited!

keep on going chick, your right when we don t get the weight reward it makes it more difficult but it will come on month or the next.

not much you can do pick the right option for you on the sushi but most important of all enjoy what you have and move on
jxx

So it's 2 lbs down this week with 2 more to go until I'm celebrating that first stone. I'm on holiday for a week though, so that's not boding well, especially as it's with friends.

Let's hope that next week is a STS...
