Felix's new to SW diary!

I work in the office for a construction/maintenance company. Look after a dozen or so engineers and send them to fix things at train stations! It's very boring but pays the bills. OH graduated from university last year doing Music and could only find part time work working on the counter/warehouse at Screwfix :( luckily his Dad has a very well paid job so he's been helping him out since he finished uni. He's just got a new job working for Natwest full time and starts on 20th Feb though :D He's also doing another degree with the Open Uni in mechanical engineering which is what his Dad does, then he can hopefully go in to the same line of work!! So fingers crossed it all works out ok. How about you??

Mmm curly wurlys are a good use of syns I think.

Wow mechanical engineering sounds great :) glad to hear about the new job, every penny helps eh.

Hubby is a telecoms engineer and I work in admin. I kind of keep all the balls going across a few of my bosses businesses :) like you said, it pays the bills just be nice if it wasn't such stress Grrrr. Problem with working with mental health though x

Day 3! So today's menu has been:

Breakfast - Fat free yoghurt with blueberries and chopped up banana.

Snack - Grapes

Lunch - Tomato mug shot with muller light and two satsumas

Snack - Pom bear crisps (5 syns)

Dinner will be left over curry from last night with SW chips!

Used my HExA on milk in my coffees today, but haven't used my HExB. Don't know what to have for it! I have some Asda whole meal pitta bread so might toast it and cut it up and have it to dip in my curry with less chips.

And now I have something to work towards! Going to a festival in Manchester with my friends on 9th/10th June so want to lose as much as possible before then. Finding it hard to estimate how much I can lose before then though! I was easy on CD as it averaged out at a stone a month. It's 17 weeks away... Hmmmmmmm

Aim for 1lb per week and youll well surpass it. What festival are you going to? We go to v and love it. Am looking forward to not needing to cover up this year and feeling confident to wear shorts n stuff :)

Do you have any alpen light bars. I love those as my HEXB. Love my porridge more atm tho xxx

It's Parklife festival in Manchester. A pretty small one but lots of my friends are going! Looking at going to Bestival too this year hopefully :) I think 1lb a week is reasonable. I just want to be comfortable and be able to have fun, and not feel like the fat friend haha.. Story of my life...

I don't have alpen bars! I would love one right now though im starving!! Waiting for OH to get back from work before I have tea.

Agree completely about not being the fat friend. Starting to feel that way though looking forward to the next stage of change for my weight and body :)

Yeah am starving too today. Might have an alpen light bar myself in a min lol. Gonna sort some shopping out later too. Order the next set of fresh bits and get the stuff in to make the speed soup and the roulade try and get myself off the yogurts a bit lol x

Oh sweet jesus, I just made my first ever SW chips and they were gorgeous!! Salt and peppered and sprinkled with a veg stock cube. Had some with my left over veg curry. I attached a pic I'm so proud haha! They look well done on the pic but it's just the seasoning and the camera! Yummmmn

Sw chips are gorgeous aren't they. I have ours with s&p and chilli and garlic. Yummy. Butternut squash roasted the same is gorgeous too :)

Oh dear I've just been a massive idiot!!! Thought i would have a sneaky look at the scales and i haven't lost anything :( feeling very deflated right now but I know it's my own fault!

Anyway, thought I'd post some pictures to spur me on. I apologise for the grossness of them! I picked the worst ones I could find and they are awful!!!!

First are me before starting Cambridge. I was 15 stone 13!!

Second is summer last year in the lakes with my lovely boyfriend. This is the lowest I've been for years, I think I was around 12 and a half - 12.12?? Not sure. Looking at the pic I look so skinny compared to now!! Of course I felt like a whale at the time!! Would love to be down to this again. I think 12 and a half will be my first mini goal.

I just posted on your other comment. Stay away from the scales. Honestly it's the worst thing you cn do. WI once per week, same time, same scales, same clothes if you can!!! Your pics are great motivation. You can do this. Refocus and give yourself a kick up the backside. We WILL get there xxx

Eep I know I shouldn't have done it, and I always tell other people not to!! It's my own silly fault. Looking at the pics has kept me focused. Can't believe how small I look on the one from summer but I felt massive at the time! It's funny that isn't it. I think I had a peek because I'm worried about not losing much for this weekend in June. I had so many events last year that I had plenty of time to lose weight for and never did, and most of them I ended up cancelling. I need to focus this time!!

This time we will do it. This time is going to be different. This time we will reach our goals.

If we accept it might be slower than we would like and work on aiming for one lb per week on average then we will get there. We must remover that this is a lifestyle change and not a diet, that's what makes it successful and that's what's going to keep the weight off forever.

We'll support each other through it and keep each other focused. And we'll stay off the scales till WI. A battle I also have with myself everyday but know that weight fluctuates so it's just not worth the heartache. Xxx

Today's menu:

Breakfast - 2x toast (HExB) with tiny scraping of light philly (1/2 HExA) & a nectarine

Lunch - Mugshot (again!! Need to stop being lazy and make a proper dinner!!) and Pom bear crisps (5 syns), miller light and grapes/blueberries. I was starving today!!

Snack - Banana

Don't know what to have for tea. Might put jacket potatoes in the oven and have beans. Can't really be bothered to make anything today!

Been so stressful at work. Had to do a report which I usually have 4 days to do! Manager reassured me yesterday that she would help me with it, then didn't even come in to work today :( could feel an anxiety attack coming on because I was so stressed out but I managed to curb it.

Really want to crawl in to bed and sleep!

I'd say whatever will be best for you x
