Hiya,

Ive just returned from my very first meeting with my consultant, she recommended this site to me.
I must say Ive never been excited about a diet before, so this is a strange feeling, all of the success stories on here are brilliant inspiration. Id really like to lose about 10 stone all together, and she thinks that with my weight/height BMI etc my goal is 3 stone in 6 weeks....just before a trip to paris.
Also, this mango shake thing is pretty good, even though its rather lumpy - must buy a whisk tomorrow and some ice :D

Welcome welcome. This is an absolutely brill site xx lots of ppl n inspirational stories and encouragement here!!

I've got 8 stone left to loose so not too far from u x

N have u bought a shaker? I bought one from my consultant but can pick up one for a couple pounds in town. It makes the whole process easier n quicker. I used to use my electric whisk every time for every shake. It was a long thing.

Welcome again xx

Good luck Codex! I'm on my 3rd/4th attempt but REALLY going for it this time. Had a really good first attempt losing 50lbs over 4 months but I needed a good break to clear my head and get stuck back into it. My tips would be give this first attempt everything you have got, once you start nibbling on little *off plan* bits here and there it really is a slippery slope, even if you think you're in control…your not. This will probably ruffle a few feathers but if you can avoid social occasions do it! Don't put yourself through the misery of sitting there with a glass of water and just don't give temptation a chance. Why risk it all for a night out now when you can enjoy all those nights out when you're at target weight! I talk as someone who took "planned" nights off..which turned into a downward spiral of picking and cheating. I can highly recommend the Kenwood Smoothie2go I use mine for all of my shakes at home and its an absolute godsend! The next few days will be tough, take lots of baths, get a load of magazines, look at all the before and after photos and plenty of early nights to just get the first few days over and done!! I'm on day 10 and feeling fantastic! Sorry if that sounds a little bit ranty haha Good luck and welcome xx

Welcome and good luck - completely agree with everything Beth said- although many seem to manage planned days /nights off it is much easier to avoid going down that route- first time round i lost 8stone in just over 5 1/2 months of stickin 100% to plan even over birthdays, christmas, new year and work meals out and formal dinners- didnt make a fuss just cut a bar into tiny pueces and no one except those sitting immediately next o me noticed and they were very supportive . had a break( had to for an op) it took me 2 years of messing around with little ( leading to big) cheats on a daily basis eventaully resulting in all the weight back on- so yes- Avoid all the tempation you can and give it everything you can- its a great diet and done properly it gets fab results. I restarted properly 6 weeks and 4 days ago with 9 to 10 stone to lose - and hit 3 stone off today so it s achievable. Good luck:)
