First food diary!

Hi!

I have been following the EE plan now for a few weeks and first lost around 4lbs in my first week then put that back on in my second week and stayed the same last week so in all have lost nothing in three weeks :sigh: so decided to do a food diary for this week and thought that might help me see where I am going wrong, so here goes... Any comments are welcome and appreciated!

Monday.

EE

Breakfast;
2x Weetabix with semi skimmed milk and a banana followed by some grapes quite soon after.
HE A & HE B
Snack;
Apple

Lunch;
Mild curry savoury rice with an apple to follow

Tea;
Prawn, red pepper, green pepper, onion, spring onion, sweetcorn, half red chilli, garlic stirfry with soy sauce & 1tbsp sweet chilli sauce (1 syn) with dried egg noodles and bean sprouts.
Followed by strawberries with sweetner.

Snack;
Bourbon biscuit (3 Syns)
Mullerlight
Mabye 3 cups of tea through the day with rest of HE A

Total syns 4

Tuesday

EE

Breakfast;
Banana with Muller light yogurt and cup of tea HE A

Snacks;
Apple
1 Cup of Tea HE A

Lunch;
Egg mayo sandwich with 1tbsp extra light mayo (1 syn) 2 slices malted wholegrain nimble HE B
Followed by bowl of strawberries.

Snack;
Apple & Banana

Tea;
Home made chicken dopiaza (1 Syn) with boiled rice

Snacks;
Mullerlight yogurt
Cups of tea HE A

Total Syns 2


Wednesday

EE

Breakfast;
2x Weetabix with Semi Skimmed Milk & Banana HE A & B

Snack;
Apple & Cup of tea
Small pot of baked beans

Lunch;
Mild Mexican Savoury rice with bowl of strawberries to follow

Tea;
Chinese take away :/ mums invited us round! Going to have chicken in oyster sauce with boiled rice ( 5.5 Syns i think)

Snacks later as not much FF will be fruit only

Total Syns 5.5
 
Last nights chinese didn't quite go to plan they didn't do chicken in oyster sauce so I ended up with chicken in black bean sauce which i think is around 5 Syns and I had about 5-10 chips too.. woops. so I will syn yesterday at 8 syns to be safe.

Thursday

So far for breakfast I had 2x Weetabix with 1 banana and skimmed milk. HE A & B

Snacks so far;
2 cups of tea with Skimmed milk HE A

For dinner I will be having another savoury rice with a bowl of strawberries. I was going to make a sandwich for my dinner and have a cooked breakfast this morning but I woke up to a flooded cellar this morning with all the rain so making food sort of went out of the window as I had to rescue the stuff in the cellar before coming to work!

Snacks this afternoon;
I have brought 2 apples and a mullerlight

& For tea;
I will be making Peri Peri chicken breasts ( with Sw Spicy wedges and salad.. May try upload my first picture later! FREE

Snacks tonight I will use up my syns most likely on a couple of chocolates from my left over easter selection.. mmm :D
 
Everything's looking good so far! Im sure you'll see some results soon x

This site has been my lifeline for the past three weeks I'm hardly off it!

I have just been advised by the OT (thank you very much) that we are now going for AN INDIAN tonight with his family for his cousin's birthday! SOOO big change to my evening meal...

I have picked chicken rogan josh (6.5 syns) with boiled rice and 1 (and i mean only one!) chapati (7.5 syns) I will only drink D. coke so hopefully todays syns still wont be too bad :/

Snacks later will be fruit only.

Total Syns: 14
Total so far this week: 28 (Not bad to say chinese AND an indian in 2 days I ate better than that before the diet!)
 
I think you should try eating your super free before your meals rather than after? I don't always have my super free on my plate so I was told to eat it before my meals, as the point of Superfree is to limit the amount of food on your plate/that you eat. If you're eating your superfree after your meal, chances are that you're already full.
 
Mmm good point I never thought of that.. I usually try and have my superfree on my plate but as there wasn't anything I could have at the Indian that was superfree (unfortunately!) I aimed to have fruit when I got home I only snack on fruit through the day but when I got home last night I ended up having the remainder of my Easter chocolates :/ woops AND I had a rather lot of sparkling Rose with my meal so.. Yesterday wasn't the best of days!
But..
I kept track of syns and syned it at 37! Aargh!
Turned it in to a flexiday and started again this morning! I still have around 50 syns left til Sunday anyway so I'm not gonna get too stressed over it and will take your advise on the free food first! Maybe if I'd have done that yesterday the chocolates would have been safe last night!
 
Strange.. thought I had posted again but it hasnt shown up..
Anyway what i said was, thanks for the advise I never actually thought of that I usually do always fill 1/3 of my plate with superfree when eating tea at home but unfortunately for us I dont think there is such a thing as free food from an indian :(

Last night however went rather wrong I ended up having rather a lot of sparkling rose with my meal AND finished off the last of my easter chocolates when I got home by accident :/ but they're gone now and can no longer tempt me so I'm going to see that as a positive thing...!
I'm not going to beat myself up over that though I've had a really good week and it's not like we will be going out every week it was for a birthday so I turned the day in to a flexi day counted up my syns when I got home and will take them from what I had left for the rest of the week. I will however in the future take your advise about free food first maybe if i'd read that last night the chocolates would have been safe! :eek:

I will spread them over the next 3 days leaving me with 16 a day anyway which I never have I usually only have around 5-6.

Friday

Jacket potato with beans and a salad FREE

Snacks;
Mullerlight

Tea;
Peri Peri chicken with SW spicy wedges and salad (which should have been yesterdays tea!) FREE

Probably banana chopped up in toffee mullerlight mmm I love this at the minute ;)
Couple of cups of tea with remainder of HE A

Syns 0

Will try use 5 though somewhere...
 
Haven't updated for a while but have been keeping a note of what i've been eating in my diary so I shall update now from last saturday and get back on track!

Saturday

Breakfast;
Weetabix x2 with skimmed milk & banana & cup of tea HE A & B

Lunch;
chicken breast with rice and a corn on the cob FREE

Snacks;
2 Bourbon biscuits (6 syns)

Tea;
Sweet chilli prawn stirfry with lots of stirfry veg and beansprouts (1 syn)

Total Syns: 7

Sunday

Breakfast;
2 weetabix with banana and skimmed milk & cup of tea HE A & B

Lunch;
Savoury rice and salad

Snacks;
Cup of tea
Apple

Tea;
Slimming world Chilli Con Carne & rice mmm :) FREE!

Snacks;
Mullerlight
Glass of sparkling rose (6.5 syns i think)

Total Syns: 6.5

Monday;

25G Ready brek made with water & Sweetener & a banana, cup of tea HE B & A

Snacks;
1 White Coffee HE A

Lunch;
Scrambled Egg with Bacon all fat removed, beans and mushrooms

Honey & Mustard pork loins with slimming world spicy wedges and salad FREE

Chicken & Spinach curry with boiled rice FREE and totally gorgeous! NOM.
