Hi, I've been lurking on here for many years as I love reading everyone's tips and success stories.
I 're joined a local club just over a week ago and 3 days in I was informed at a hospital appointment I have polycystic ovaries and that if I need to have ivf in the future I need to get my bmi down 30 (currently at 43). I'm having an xray on my fallopian tubes to see if they are damaged and will find out the results and treatment in January (!!). Not only that but I turn 30 in February so with this in mind I'm am going at it 100% and if I do wobble at all I have promised myself that I will get back up and carry on trying.
Last Sunday I spent the WHOLE day going through all the cupboards, fridge + freezer throwing out any out of date rubbish and writing the suns value on anything else. I've written a list of all herbs/spices and stuck it to the cupboard so I can easily see what I've got. I've not got no chocolate in at all, this is a miracle for me as I love love the stuff!!!
Well on Thursday I had my first weigh in and I was the same weight
the lady acted oddly and told me that it was strange. I just said oh well I'm on my monthly so maybe that's why but she seemed really off about it. It's really got me down a bit this week. I went home and had a pizza with chips sadly and yesterday I had 2 biscuits and 2 packets of quavers.
Does anyone know if the polycystic ovaries can cause problems losing weight or is it more mind over matter?
I'm trying my best today to stick 100% and I've now not had chocolate for 6 days which has been a killer with being on my monthly this week!!!
Sorry for the long post, I'm just feeling a bit disheartened today x
