First weigh in

Hey Everyone!!


Just did my first weigh in and was kinda disappointed. After reading about so many great losses in the first week...

I lost 3kgs, which is 6.61lbs (I'm a metric kinda gal)

However I measured myself and have shred 7.8cms round my waist! So that part is fabulous!!!

I'm not 100% sure I'm in ketosis (how can you tell? I did get the metallic taste in my mouth a few times but it doesn't last, I'm not overly hungry most of the time....)

Regardless I'll start exercising this week - something I've been itching to do all week! I'm sure that'll help with the inches anyway!!! :)

So week 1 - mixed bag... Happy with the cm loss. Happy for the weight loss :)
 
Well done, thats a great weightloss for your first week! I only lost 5lb, then lost 6lb in my 2nd week so was pleased with another big loss. If you're not hungry then it sounds like you've hit ketosis so just keep going as it definitely gets easier. Can't believe I'm 8wks down already!!

Definitely keep doing the measurements though as last week I only lost 1lb but dropped a dress size so more happy about that!! x

Don't be disheartened, people lose weight at all different rates. Looking at peoples losses lots who lose a shed load the first week have a smaller loss the second week, whereas some lose steadily all the time. The tape measure proves it is working!

So true, very wise words GemlaD!! You know how it is... you just want to see results now, rather than being patient. Better to lose slow and steady (so I'm told). :) Still it's nothing to scoff at and I'm very happy now (the tape measurements made my day!).

Does anyone else find that their body does weird things in the measurements? I managed to gain cms on one arm and one leg while the other lost!
 
Well done on your weight loss 6lbs is still a good loss! I'm on day 6 and tempted to get on the scales but I will hold off to Wednesday weigh in. Feeling the same itching to do some exercise and clothes are feeling loose already!
