Aww thanks Claire.. I love me l'il puppy.. Can't wait til we all live back together and I don't have to grab 10mins here and 15mins there with him.. He was being a little fecker when we were tryna get the pic.. Kept putting his head in under my arm to snuggle and go to sleep.. ha.. he's very cute and lovable

I can believe how big he is, Dougs tiny compared to Striker and strikers bigger than Doug will be full size

Its Stringer.. ha ha.. But yer not the first to call him something different.. lol.. My Dad still calls him Springer!!I can believe how big he is, Dougs tiny compared to Striker and strikers bigger than Doug will be full size

Yea he's real good.. Most of the time!! LOTZ of energy.. We'd have him out walking til he's WRECKED.. We'll get home.. be in the door 10 mins and he'll be hopping around again.. He's so funny.. Loves nothing more than to snuggle up and go to sleep.. In his head he's a little lap dog but he's gona be too big for all that soon
How's Doug getting on? Toilet trained n all yea? Stringer was real easy to get toilet trained.. Still hasn't mastered "stay" tho!! lol
But he's still only a wee baby

Doug is a complete lap dog, he's getting better all the time, toilet training has been a nightmare but apparently pugs are one of the most difficult dogs to house train anyway, he's fine if you go out with him and praise and reward him but sometimes we forget and he forgets so were both at fault, he can just have come in from a long walk and then piss on the carpet. He loves long walks although your not really supposed to give him massive walks. Our Labrador wanted to be a lap dog but couldn't coz he was a giant. He was virtually toilet trained when we got him coz he'd lived on a farm so was an outside dog.
Dougs getting better at the recall thing especially when he's been playing with other dogs you can call him and he'll come where as before I used to go and run after him to catch him or he'd quite happily wander off with the other dog. He hasn't mastered stay yet either.

Ha ha ha.. Don't worry about it.. Like I said.. Most people get it wrong!!
Yea Stringer will go no probs if we go with him.. But its like he's afraid to go out in case we lock him out ha ha.. But if the doors left open he'll just go out.. have a wander.. a wee and then come back in..
When he's out the back during the day when the kids are in Jonathan's (His Mam minds his niece n nephew during the day) he sits up on the sun chairs on the decking n you have to go looking for him for him to come in.. ha ha.. Spoilt little brat lol
Yea you have to remember to bring him out n stay there with him til he goes to train him that that's what's to be done.. Stringer now goes to the door looking at the handle to tell you he needs to go.. Jonathan still hasn't picked up this yet so Stringer ends up going in the house and Jonathan gives out... If he (Jonathan) paid more attention he'd (Stringer) not have gone there in the first place...
It'll be easier on Stringer when we've finally moved back in together and he can get a proper routine going.. ATM its very all over the place with Jonathan working late/away n me not being there.. I can call in obviously to get him but then his Mam keeps me chattng for best part of an hour... So it'll be better all round when our living arrangements are sorted

Yea he's probably only 1/4 the size he will be when grown.. I can't wait.. I wanted a "real" dog and that's certainly what we got
We were talking last night and we're gona get him a play pal when we've got our own house.. Ideally he'd have got one same age as him but a year in difference won't be much.. Hopefully he can lead by example being that bit older..
Jonathan wanted to get a husky for a second dog but I think we'll stick with GSD..
