Yea was OK.. Quiet.. Again!!! lol
Was told Saturday the timing chain was going in my car.. Near cried as it'd cost around €600 to repair.. and that's only if nothing else needed to be done as well... So my brother brought it to a garage for me this morning and there is NOTHING wrong with it!!! Garage was clearly tryna buy it in for as little as possible... SCAMMERS...

we had a quiet one too!! boo! was still nice but have to say i cannot wait to go out on Saturday!! OMG!!!! ouch!!! Garages are horrible arent they! they take women for such mugs!!! i hate it. luckily my dad used to be a mechanic so if i take my car to a garage they tell me whats wrong and the price i quickly call him and tell him and he tells me if its fair or not
otherwise they do you out of so much money for no reason! xxx

I know I honestly can't believe it.. Like, its a well known well respected garage.. Any small garages opinions I take with a pinch of salt.. But these are part of a chain and is one of the main Opel dealers in South Dublin.. So I assumed his word could be trusted..
I'm going back to the mechanic that checked it this morning on Saturday to get my light bulb done so will ask about the engine cutting out the way it was on saturday again.. But he said, and other opinions i've got said, if the timing chain was gone/going you'd hear it in the engine..
Very annoying that just coz we're girls we get done.. What ever happened to honest business... grrrrrr

i had a nail in my tyre last year (i have run flat tyres, my dad had already told me that run flat tyres CANT be repaired they have to be replaced), i went to kwik fit and the guy did the old " o well love you cant get it repaired because of where the nail has gone in" (i HATE it when they call me love, makes my skin crawl!!) so i said in my most i think your a tw*t voice " well actually its a run flat tyre so you cant repair it anyway" and then he went on to tell me that they could change it within 10 minutes went to take my keys off me before i stopped him and said "erm how much will it be" ...."£275" ...me:"ok, no thank you - goodbye" i got my tyre done for about £175 in the end!!! xxx

£175 for a tyre????? WOWZERS...... my bro works in a tyre garage so when I've a puncture the wheel fairy just takes my car away for half an hour n it comes back all fixed
ha ha haOver Christmas he brought it off and it come back with 4 brand new tyres..
Its a disgrace tho.. So now i ring around a ridiculous number of mechanics n I know then if i'm being screwed or not...
I also go on a site called boards.ie which is a site where average joe soaps go on and ask for/give opinions and experiences about various things... So usually ya get good advise n honest opinions about places...

More stress with the poxy house!!
That first sale STILL hasnt gone thru yet.. was meant to be finalised at the end of last week.. So I have my sols office chasing them to get their finger out n hopefully we'll still have our contracts by the end of this week.. We weren't expecting them til end of this week anyway.. But we were expecting their sale to have been completed.. The sol we were dealing with has gone on honeymoon so I have his office chasing it for me. (I had to call them 4 times today before they offered to chase it!) He just called me from his honeymoon to update me.. Obviously dying to get rid of me off his books at this stage lol.. Anyway, if the contracts come in before he returns we can still go in and sign off as long as we're happy enough with everything.. So potentially we cud sign off this week... Pending them getting her sale finalised...

I know.. I feel bad coz the lady in our sols office is really nice but i'm paying enough to have them jump to my tune!!
Still on track for now but I'm gona hound them from now on.. Seems to be the only way..
