From here to Eternally Slim

Aww thanks Pesty. Becuase we aren't married, and I just live here, I suppose he's just interested in looking after his own interests. I can't change him but I won't be dragged down by him either. I'll get something and I'll start doing my own thing, will save like a hamster now til "if" im made redundant and then look for somewhere else to live if he's still being an arse. I'll get financial help that way too, if needed.

Anyway, just made a fresh free leek, carrot, celery, tomatoe and brocoli soup for lunch. Am sure those veggies will boost my emotions :). Thanks again honey xx

Ok so your not married, me and OH arent married and now live together but id be livid if it was treated like he was my landlord rather than we were partners. He needs to respect you a bit more, your too lovely to be made to feel that way!!

Soup sounds good!! Im on a half day today at work and am going home to 9 flat packed items to build - body magic!! lol

I might make some soup with any veg that we have left over - i might even use my butternut squash in a vege curry dish?! To answer your earlier question (got carried away in a rant and forgot to answer lol) im not using the cook book although i do have it in the cupboard, i usually just throw in what ever spices for a curry. I might even leave it to cool and add some yoghurt - and prey it doesnt curdle this time haha!!

xxxx

THIS.

In spadefuls. Either you are partners or you arent. If you arent, and you are just there to feed him, clothe him, warm his bed, keep the house tidy and support his family, then start invoicing him for the work you do.

Seriously.

LOL KK, I know what you meant girlie :D and with you there (for now at least). That made me gigle x

Thanks KK, Pesty and MLM. I honestly didn't know that when I moved in last year, any bad times would reslut in him being a damm right pig. I tried to tell him how I felt yesterday after work, it was late, I was quite upset (didn't let him see that) that he wasn't even giving me words of encouragement :(. I know I can't do anything as such about the situation, but it'd sure be nice to know if the worse case scenario was to happen, there would be a plan in place . Its times like these when you start to weigh up, who does and who doesn't do anything morally .

Enough of this feeling insecure, I'll be fine..Will work out a plan of my own for me and my son so I will, :).

On a healthy note.. Free Veggie soup made..hmm, I burned the pan , let it boil too lon, so veggies have probably lost all of the nutritional value, lol, but managed to salvage most of them, added some extra cooked brocoli and veg stock and blended. Still tastes ok, and still free food, lol.

Right, time to straighten my hair for work. Only doing 4 hours today as was in for 11.5 hrs yesterday. Meeting about the redundancy's, so will make sure I ask questions and then on to supermarket to get me some low fat sausages for tea :).

Thanks again for you help and advice Pesty, MLM and KK.

HI EF

I think your plan sounds good, save like mad, Get new job if required, Get own flat for you and your son. Leave Mr Disrespectful to do his own laundry etc...,

Like MLM and Pesty have said you are too nice for someone like that.

:grouphugg:

Thanks KK. TBH, he does all his own washing and ironing, always has done since he was widowed 5 years ago. But I do all the cooking, sit his kids and fit into their world here. I thought we had a parternship, but how wrong I was. I moved out of my flat last year to be with him, had to give all of my furniture to charity as he had no room for my stuff. I have a wardrobe, a few drawers and 2 shelfs on on of his 2 large books shelfs. Everything else in still in boxes in Garage. I will get myself sorted and will save like a squirrel. Just shocked with this outcome really, but best I know now :).

Right, off to the redundancy meeting. x

Started the day with a smile on my face, a spring in my step and a lovely syn free pasta salad for lunch.

;) Thank MLM, great advice, i will try to add red days, i am not a fish eater, but love most meat. I will try at least 2 red days to start

:DPesty thank you, i have been told time and time again by my doc that i should up my water intake, i have managed to reach at least two glasses a day. Also great advice and the picture, and snacking ideas.

HI Eternalflame, thanks for the great support, even thought you are not feeling so good yourself you took time out to help, you are a lovely person. OH and the rice pudding, was lovely

Hi KK and thank you :).

if i missed thanking anyone sorry, still new to catching all the replies.

not learnt your WI days yet so will just say good luck to you all

Hi Guys I'm still about - sort of anyway!

MLM - many congrats on WOTY, good luck on Sunday hope it all goes well for you :D

Pesty - so glad you've got the flat and are moving into it - hope the flat pack making up goes well and fairly simply :D

Kitkat - am so sorry hun to hear about your news *hugs* for you and your friend I can't offer any other advice execpt that which has already been given :hug99:

EF - am so sorry about the job, as for your OH - he sounds like he's being a bit of a pig to be honest. Sounds like you've got the best plan if you ask me, save up and move out if things don't get sorted.

Welcome to all newbies who have come to join us.

Hope everyone had a great weight loss last week/this week. Those with gains - I'm sure you will lose it next week.

If I've missed anything out then I'm sorry but have only been able to skim read the thread.

As for me - well I lost 1lb on Monday. I got a job - start on 27th, only temp but it's a start. However since then I've not stopped eating! Not sure if it's to do with * week or just because I've got into a bad place at the moment. So far this week I've had KFC, McD's, Chinese (with chips) and today I was at a wedding where I had shortbread amoung the usual stuff you find at weddings!
So now I'm trying to get myself back on track - please give me a big kick up the rear to get me back onto the wagon. It seems that my superglue unstuck!

Am feeling crappy, sick and have a massive headache and am quite certain I've put on about 4lb's this week alone - now I need to try and minimise the WI damage for Monday.

I also think I need to work out why I had this massive blow out so I can try and avoid it next time - I just wish I knew what it was! I was so chuffed on monday as I was below 12stone which I was quite excited about - but I now risk going above it again.

Sorry for the massive whinge!!

Hey Rosie,

Maybe you've just had a blow out - just because, I know that's a bit strange but usually half way through the plan i get a bit itchy to have a naughty meal, trouble is once my body gets the taste for it that one meal becomes all the naughty meals ive missed. Dont panic about it, you've got it out your system hopefully and if you have a gain this week then nevermind, you'll soon get it off, just try to minimise the damage with lots of superfree foods and water. You never know you might get a really good loss the following week as your body will have reset itself. Im willing to bet it is probably what has made you feel unwell, your body has gotten use to being a temple and so doesnt like naughty foods anymore!! Try not to be too strict with yourself just be as good as possible 10 syns a day til WI. xxx

Ronnie well done on your 1.5 loss huni!!!! xxx

EF hope your meeting goes ok, let us know!!! xxx

Tiara, glad to hear your enjoying the plan hun!!! The bliss of knowing your doing something amazing for yourself always makes me smile xxx

Well i managed to build 2 bedside cabinets, 2 chest of draws and 1 wardrobe yesterday!! :D The stuff was from Homebase and the instructions were pants so it took me longer than i had hoped!! We now only have 3 cabinets for the front room and 1 treble wardrobe left to build!! OH has the day off today, i'd written a list of everything left to do i.e build that stuff, hang bathroom cabinet, reseal bath, hang front room mirror and bless him cotton socks, he got up and droped me to work this morning and gave me a kiss and said i'll try to have it all done and looking perfect for you when you get home

Im a very lucky lady :D the point of the list was so that we knew what was left - i expected to do most whilst he was at footy tomorrow so i thought it was so adorable that he is going to try and do it for me :D he has even asked his dad over to help!

Hope you all have a good day - thank goodness its friday!!!!

xxxx

Sorry to hear about your situation, EF. Hope you get something sorted, and if there's anything we can do to help...

Diet-wise, this week - not so good.

Gained 1lb last night, and was probably lucky that was all. Ate far too much party food at my daughters 8th birthday, and didn't stop after the weekend, plus ate out a few times and had a couple nights out on the booze

It really is getting harder after so long on the plan. I mean I don't think I'll go right off the rails, but I would be seriously happy to maintain for a while. Only thing is, I would also be seriously happy to get this final part done, or close to it at least, so I need to think hard and make some choices. I reckon another three months hard work will get me just about there, so I need to re-focus.

Anyway, well done everyone on their losses, and keep it up!

Hey SB!!!!

Dont worry about the gain, your daughters 8th birthday will only happen once so you have to enjoy these occasions!! The nights out - well these things happen!!

We all get like it on plan, the wonder of the losses seems to be less exciting (unless its a big one) and the 'non-strictness' isnt enough anymore. Id suggest making a take-away SW version as a treat or what i have done is...

At the beginning of SW i never included syns as treats it was always gravys and sauces. Now i have 50g GFY ASDA icecream after dinner as my treat or a mini milky bar. It feels like im rebelling against the plan when infact im being perfectly good.

Like you said it could have been worse. Just look at your avatar and your before picture and all the progress you have made so far!! Your doing so well, keep up the good work and you'll be at target in no time!! xxxx

Good morning ladies

Sorry I'm late logging on - BUT YAY I now am the proud owner of........ 4 tickets to go and see the Kings of Leon!!!!!!!!:wow: I am so looking forward to it. :):):)This has now spurned me on to get to the Gym and keep on that wagon so that I can get a size smaller jeans to wear......

Pesty - Congrats in getting all those flat packs done - wow.

EF - We are all here for you and like you say best you know now what an arse he is. :)

Scanbran and Rosiepeace - :whoopass:Don't beat yourself up I have had two weeks of naughty meals ands not really caring what I ate and yes I have put on all that I lost - my fault I control what i put into my mouth, but now my mind set had changed I am in a more postive frame of mind.

Ronnie - Well done hun!:scale:

Tiara - Glad your enjoying the plan.:)

question - Does anyone know of any really tasty ready made meals that I can have for lunch time (in case I don't have time to make something and bring it in Red or Green preferably FREE)?

Good luck to everyone whose WI.

well guys can finally talk about my news. (sorry may be a long post)

I have been v unhappy in my job for months and was looking for a new job, had a couple of interviews and was waiting for a decision. Last wednesday major announcement that we were all being made redundant then on friday new job called and offered me the position.
am leaving old one before consultation period over so will not get any redundancy monies but being in a job is more important to me.

I have accepted, sent my offer letter back and resigned today. I go on holiday on 8th october and start new job on 25th and I cant wait.

So rather chuffed. I know lots of people having lots of tough times at the moment but sending out some major positive vibes to you all.....

RONNIE- congrats on the new job hun!!! must be a weight off your mind-bet you cant wait to start.

EF - hope you are ok hun...sending big hugs your way.

KITKAT - sending big hugs your way too and yay for the tickets....bet you cant wait and its a fab aim to help spur you on :)

PESTY - awwww how sweet of your oh,it will all look great when you get home.and wow well done for what you did yesterday.....i couldnt have!

well ive decided to go green today as its star week,im bloody starving and due to situations today im suffering from boredom big time so get hungrier if that makes sense!!! i manage better on green days when i get like that.
compiling my list of recipies i want to try so thats going to hopefully give a little boost due to variety.....im also making more of an effort to drink a lot more in the hope it'll help.

Hi Guys

Sorry Ive been AWOL Ive been struck down with the lurgy thats been doing the rounds  I got a nasty ear infection with it in my ONLY good ear and its had my balance soooo stupid I had to crawl the 1st 2 days to the loo:cry: Anti Bios seem to be shifting it tho and im feelin less grotty now and back to using the zimmer carefully....I was like one of those bump n go toys this morning trying to negotiate the doorway to the livingroom

Missed WI last night so Ive no Idea how Ive done....But Ive not been naughty-and tried to stay on plan just maybe not eaten enough on a couple of days thats all.

Ive tried to read through the posts sorry if Ive missed things out...Im not fully with it yet lol x

MLM congrats on going through to the WOTY finals :happy096: how fab!

EF real sorry to hear OH is being an unsuportive pratt  I hope things sort out for you x

PESTY Things almost finished in your new home now? I cant believe you managed all that flatpack stuff without tearing your hair out.....our massively over synning on a bottle of Red  :8855:

KATKIT I feel for you with what you're going through with your friend, my mum got diagnosed 3 years ago...but they cant operate because of other health issues, she wouldnt survive the surgery they dont think. the meds she was on to 'hold things back' recently stopped working and the tumour started to become active again so theyre trying a new one but things aren't going so well. Its an awful time as I dont really know what to say or do either. Just stay strong for her x x

Thanks Luverick!!! :D I've just given OH a call and he has managed 2 build 2 of the front room cabinets this morning so were looking good for getting it done in time for me to have my friends over tomorrow :D its just going to be for a cuppa as a chat but i wanted it to be all lovely!! My mums going to come over too tomorrow, it'll be really nice as she saw the state of it when we first bought it and now she's going to see it all done (hopefully)

Well done Ronnie that's EXCELLENT news!!! I have to agree its better to have a job to go to than risk it to get redundancy money. It wouldnt be much of a bonus if you were jobless and had to live off of it.

cool about the tickets KK!! I have only ever seen Brian Adams live when we took my mum for a bday pressie, a friend of mine is looking into getting some tickets sorted for us soon :D

Free ready meals - hmmm... not off the top of my head but i shall have a little rummage and see what i can come up with.

Sorry to hear your not well CD!!! But positive to hear you've been good and are feeling a bit better!!! Hopefully you'll stay on track this week and have a fantastic loss!! Seems your having a really tough time with your mum aswell, theres nothing that i can say which will make anything better but i'll say a little prayer for her tonight that the new meds start to work.

Im going to have to be quite strong this weekend, i have a baby shower to go to on Sunday and have been asked to bake some cupcakes, this is something i use to really enjoy and still do but not sure how im going to get on trying not to eat them!! lol xxxx
