Rosie, don't worry about it. It's not like you spooned half a gallon of oil over them. Yes chickens drop a reasonable amount of juices but i honestly wouldn't bother synning it, it will be minimal anyway. I did the exact same thing on Sunday because I didn't have space in the oven for anything and I had a 2lb
loss the next day. Don't beat yourself up.

Commiserations on the gains, albeit they are very modest, and I'm sure you'll pull it back and more next week. At least I'll have lots of company this week on the backsliding trail :D

Well done on your award, pesty! Great achievement.

Weigh-in tonight, and I'm not optimistic.

However, I did prepare tonights dinner in advance, making a lamb tagine in the slow cooker!
Bought some lamb shoulder fillets last night, cut them into cubes and marinaded in a selection of dry spices including paprika, ground ginger, ground coriander, cumin, turmeric and moroccan spice blend.
Left covered in the fridge overnight and then took out this morning, browned in the pan with a couple spoons of olive oil and some onions before adding a little vegetable stock. Slung the whole lot in the slow cooker with a bit more stock, a can of chopped tomatoes and a can of chick peas (drained).
Bunged in some sliced squash and sweet potato, salt pepper and a spoonful of runny honey.

Will serve tonight with warm cous cous - only a few syns in total, and possibly only 2-3 syns per person at the worst I reckon - should be good ;)

i lost half a pound today.

set myself a goal. I aim to have no more thatn 4lb gain for my 2 week holiday which will put me at 13 10.5 so it will be 2st from target. I am giving myself 6 months to get to target.....

Ronnie - Is that a good i dont believe it or a bad one? Any loss is a good loss, there is a freaky undeservedly small losses/STS/Gains going round this week!!

CD - I only go once a week, i can never go when i want to, lots of water usually does the trick and make sure your having those HEBs for the fibre.

Scanbran - You always suprise us with your fantastic losses, and last week the beer diet worked for you so hopefully tonight you'll have a loss or if its a deserved small gain thats ok, you know where you went wrong and how to rectify it! Your lamb tangine sounds lovely!! Im making stew and (non-SW) dumplings at the wkend, my dads over and due to where his throat cancer was removed i can only make soft foods like stews and casseroles, i might make a lamb tangine instead tho now as that sounds yum!

Rosie, dont let the veges ruin your day! I wouldnt syn them, of the amount of juices a chicken gives only a small amount of that is fat and the amount that would have been absorbed by your veges is minimal so i wouldnt worry huni!!

Lenlu - Unlucky on the gain hun, good to see your up for having a good one this week, all that water, totm, etc should be gone for next week so your up for a good WI huni!!

Well i went for my little bro's induction at Secondary school last night, it's 5 years since i left and i found it very sereal seeing old teachers, etc. One in particular i always meant to write a thank you letter to but never did it and it became too late, i saw him last night and he told me how he'd always believed in me - which is true. I was really choaked! It feels really good to have proved him right by not being a total failure and im thinking of finally writing that letter that i should have writting so long ago!

Im in real pain, i did day 2 of the shred last night and could get up this morning my legs were so stiff!!! Its really painful to walk, and sitting down on the toilet is the most painful feeling lol. Im currently walking like ive been riding a horse!!!

Still no pain no gain as EF said!!

Funcurls, hope you are well and yes am back on track, almost lost the hol gain, its taken a while i must say, and going away again on Wed, so need to keep at it as much as I can whilst I am then. I know I won't stay on track, won't even try, but my son needs to go to the gym every day to keep up with his training each day, so will go with him as well, but will stay off the creamy cocktails and bread for sure. Major poblem area with me on hols.

Sarah, will def be staying off of mixing the drinks thats for sure.

Well done RJ on the loss, and thats a good idea re the holiday, good luck with that but Im sure you will do it.

Im expecting about 5lb gain from a week away, as know what ever I eat thats not on plan (inc drink) sticks to me like lard!! But I get back on Wed, back on plan on Thurs and WI on Monday, so should get back off half of that at least and then the rest the following week and a little more if I play my cards right and will then be doing the Shred that week too.

Had an absolute hell of a day, so haven't had a chance even to look, never mind to post. More later, just too shattered now.

Well, went to class and amazingly got the 1.5lb loss I needed for my 5st award!

I'm overjoyed with this, and to capitalise on it, I even went to the gym for the first time in nearly three weeks afterwards!

To make things even better, the slow-cooked lamb tagine was fantastic - stunning flavours and sooo tender.
Thanks to whoever came up with the slow cooker suggestion - it's my new favourite toy.
 
Thanks, Kate. I really didn't expect it, but I was kind of hopeful...

What was annoying was that the weigh-in lady at the class didn't acknowledge my award, and didn;t offer me the shiny!
I gotta have my shiny :mad:
So I asked for it, and she said the system didn't say I was due it - I looked at the PDA and it clearly said -5st 0lbs, and she repeated that it usually comes up if an award is due.
I said that it must be broken then, give me my shiny.
So she did :cool:

Im in work an hour early again trying to get some work done before others get in a and give me more to do!! It was a real struggle to get up today, im shattered!!! Im so glad its friday, a lay in for me tomorrow!!! Well my dad is coming over but i'll be able to get up later than usual!! :D

And to add insult to injury Ive been this morning :eek: no Idea what the scales say as OH is at work and theyre on top of the wardrobe where I cant fall off them on my own lol. So Heres hoping with the increased water intake and (fingers crossed) my tum behaves itself for a decent intake of food Il get a good loss next week.....If I dont then Im really scuppered.
My weighloss just seems to be hovering with stuff at the mo and painfully slow with not being able to do any exercise-my physio isnt really exercise as its only head movements and trying to focus on moving objects and the walking I do is snails pace (hardly calorie burning :rolleyes:) Heyho cant have it all ways eh ;)

Well done Scanbran on your 5 stone Shiney :D what an achievement! thats fab.

Hope everyone is ok and ready for the weekend....its pretty grim and gloomy here today- Im thinking its a casserole tea day nom nom x
 
people who are unlucky enough to have parkinsons disease lose weight because of the constant tremors they have. Little amounts of any movement will make a difference eventually...
