Just one more little thing to add, EF.
I was thinking about the saving syns thing, and I know we all need to do that sometimes. And clearly, from your diary and other posts, the weekend is your downfall.
Do you know whether there's a group anywhere near you that operates later in the week?
Because, as I said earlier on another question, doing a weekly countdown and averaging out your syns can be ok, but if you weigh yourself immediately after a binge day it isn't going to look good. We all have sneaky peeks on the scales, however much we know we shouldn't, and if you've been good in the week, peeked on a Friday, had a bad weekend and then weighed in on the Monday, the chances are that the Monday won't be as good as the Friday! (Even if both of them are better than the previous Monday.)
So if your weekends are likely to be heavier on the syns than the weekdays (and most people's are!) a Monday is probably the least "encouraging" day for you to weigh in.
If you take long term averages, then it really doesn't matter, because from one Monday to the next, you will have lost whatever you've lost during that week.
But in the short term, and to give you as much help as possible to get your weight loss motivation back, you really need as much encouragement as possible.
