Ooo, i missed the birthday part! Happy Birthday! :D

I know what you mean MLM, i also hated exercise. But i find i'm enjoying jogging, so that's got to be a good thing :) I'm hoping to (v slowly) work up to being able to run 5 km and then eventually 10 km. And i'm definitely going to keep at it as i'm starting to feel better for doing the exercise. It even improves my mood i think :) Plus when i'm jogging i've got no time to concentrate on anything but the stopwatch nd keeping going so it's a break from my brain :)
 
I think its ace what you are doing Zombie. I downloaded the couch to 5k app on my phone. I should try doing that on the way to class and back but it takes me a little bit less than the full length of the app to get there so I never bother. I really am EXCELLENT at making excuses though! If making excuses was an exercise I would burn off stones a day.

Haha indeed :p My friend makes me laugh. Says stressing helps the weight fall off... if stressing and obsessing made weight drop off then they'd need to put me on a drip! :p
 
Actually, I saw something in the last day or two that says that stress can seriously hinder weight loss. I guess it depends how you react to stress. FE if you are the sort of person who under stress loses their appetite then you will end up losing weight, but it will be the sort of loss that bounces straight back on with extras. Whereas if you are the sort of person who comfort eats during stressy times, then you aint got diddly squat chance of stress being of any help at all in weight loss terms.

I definitely fall into the latter category. Preferably with cake.
 
Yes. I just am a general obsessive and stress head. Esp with stuff at the moment. But i feel i've come on leaps and bounds on my comfort eating :) I know what you mean though, nothing does it quite like cake!

Speaking of cake, tonight i tried quark with a white chocolate options, and oh my! I really do think this would make an amazing buttercream replacement for baking. Since i'm on the CC i'm very tempted to bake some cupcakes once we move and use this to top them :D I bet noone guesses it's a "diet" topping!
 
I have found that SW helps a great deal with comfort eating, simply because you CAN comfort eat if you need to as long as you choose wisely what to comfort eat with. Knowing that you CAN comfort eat seems to minimise the need TO comfort eat and therefore breaks the cycle of why you comfort eat in the first place.

Dont get me wrong, there are days when I would rip a coffee madeira cake out from the clutches of a small child, but they are far less frequent than they used to be and its much easier to talk myself out of it.

I think that's why calorie counting is good for me at the moment. I know i can have anything i like "on plan" so long as it's measured amounts.

Happy birthday for yesterday Em!! Glad you enjoyed your steak meal - it must have tasted so much nicer not feeling guilty straight after eating it!!

RP - im glad its not just me that has trouble with a sports bra!! Im a 22 year old with the boobs of a 50 year old!! They look alyt in a good bra and i know not many people see them but it'd be really nice to have the confidence to impress the oh with them lol

Ive already eaten my lunch today!! haha ive had a banana, a snack pack of grapes and a cheese and chicken salad sandwich (on wholemeal bread)!!!!! The tablets im on are really making me hungry!! Ive got a mug shot in my draw ready for the next hunger pang!! lol

Morning!!

A sneaky peek at the home scales ( yes, yes, bring out the tar and feathers) would indicate that I have ahem "cleaned out" the holiday damage and am back to where I was. Hurray for fish.

In fact, I had a beautiful fish dinner last night, I made some tin foil parcels with a salmon fillet in, sprinkled some garlic granules, mild chilli powder, salt, white pepper and a splash of lime juice on top and baked it in the oven (180, gas mark 4, just call me Delia, for 25 minutes) and had that with a giant pile of carrot broccoli and cauliflower (fluff ahoy). The salmon was GORGEOUS! Got cod for today, I might do the same to that.

Fingers crossed that the fish does it's magic by weigh in some more, I might even post a little loss!!

Going to have a look at the Menu and really try and make a sensible choice-if not I - might ring them and ask them how they cook the chicken dish or pasta dish then I can make a better decision! :)Failing that I'll eat whatever and go back onto plan the following day.:(

I must get back onto plan 100% -sat or sun i am definitely going to sit down and plan my meals - planning is everything for me if I know what I'm having I can keep to it better.:)

My first target is to stay on plan
second to start exercising

I have had a look at my eating out guide and Prezzos isnt in there!!!!

I would go for the meatballs then, at least they have a tomato based sauce. I think ringing is definitly a good idea, then you can ask what would be the best choice and clarify that you can ask for changes if you need to!! You'll be fine hun, try not to stress to much otherwise you wont enjoy it!!!

MLM - Naughty you for the sneak peak!! lol glad it looks like all is back to normal!! I had my cod mornay last nyt and it was yummy - i should have precooked the cod tho as i had to leave it in for ages to make it cook through all the sauce and of course then the fromage frais curdled!! Im going to have Basa fillet tonight - i might grab some mixed seafood and make a little pie with the parsley sauce recipe i found - i will let you know how it turns out!!!

Thanks Pesty - I had a good look on the menu and decided to have the meatballs as they don't look fried and you can only cook pasta one way - so think this is the best option. :)

Had emails from my local gym going to cost me a bit more than I can afford:( but needs must:). Will be doing 2 work outs Body Jam and Body balance as I have a bad knee am hoping this will help to losing weight.:)

RP and other - no I have trouble with sports bras too either cut into me or are comfortable but fit is too big - and jiggle well nearly give myself a black eye. :pNeedless to say have given up on the aerobics!

Afternoon! Evening, even :)

Just got back from Tescos with a load more fish, have lots of plans for fishiliciousness over the weekend. Bought some prawns and some extra light mayo and extra light salad cream and am going to make prawn mayo jacket potatoes one day, if you put a small amount of the salad cream in with the mayo it makes it much nicer and with a bit of a tangy kick.

Tonight is cod with mushy peas, I think. I might also boil some more broccoli and carrot and cauliflour to go with it. No-one here will thank me for it though :D
 
Hi mlm, well the chocolate cake has gone gone gone. Meal out tomorrow then thats the last of the synerific naughty things! Sounds a nice dinner! Whats everyones plans for the weekend? xx
 
thanks mlm things are getting there hopefully soon should have some more news. on diet front things going swimmingly and even decided to give up fags again today so fingers crossed all i will be putting in my mouith is chewing gum!!!!!

Hey Guys

Sounds like everyone is well in control of what's going on. Well done on the Weight losses everyone who has had WI recently.

Hope the WI for next week goes well for everyone and that we all get fab losses.

I've been good so far this week - but tonight I got the munchies - had a tesco chocolate sandwich biscuit, oaty bar and fibre plus bar - have gone way over syns today - but I've been counting down syns this week so I figure I've still got 30-40 syns left for tomorrow, sunday and monday so fingers crossed all will be fine for WI.
Just need to be sensible tomorrow - am taking my own popcorn to the cinema - still figuring I'm going to have steak or chicken and bacon salad - so hoping all will go well with that.
Am making OH an ulster fry for breakie tomorrow - have some low syn sausages, bacon, pork veg roll (low syn), beans and eggs - OH will also have soda bread and potato farls tomorrow as well.

Am hoping that will see us through till tea tomorrow night :)
