From Mis-shaped to....?

If I was you I'd enjoy my holiday :) And start again when you're back - others may tell you differently but in my opinion life is for living not dieting and this is a slow and steady race! In the long term a week off plan for a holiday isn't going to impact much at all :) xx

Thanks, Alex. I'm just going to go with the flow, I think. If I feel like fasting, I will; if I don't, I won't! Simples.

I agree with Alex, life is for enjoying. Just make sure to promise to yourself that you will start again on whatever day and stick to it. I find telling my family that I'm back on the fasting at such n such a day makes me more likely to do it as I don't like to admit defeat lol xx

Thanks :) I may actually manage some fasts...just felt a pang of doubt - which is very unusual for me!

I agree with Alex and Han as well....life is for living and judding is so flexible you can diet and live which is just fab!! Im away this weekend and will go with the flow and get back to it on my return. Ive got nothing then until end of Nov when I am away for a week in the sun so a good reason to stick to my alt days until then!!
Have a great time!! xx

Well sure if you even try to have a few half day fasts, or just stick to 3 meals a day it might help minimise damage?

I'm going on holiday next year and it will be a full blown 20k steps a day job, so I'll not be able to fast. But I'll be on it like a car bonnet when I get back. Hopefully the balance of eating not too much and walking loads will prevent me from doing *too* much damage xx

Fab holiday! Managed one fasting day and then switched off after that...had a sneaky peek on the scales today and it said 14st 4.5lbs which isn't bad at all, I don't think. Hopefully will have that off and some more really soon.

Soooo, no real downward movement on the scales for October. But, I'm strangely OK with that. I've had 2 separate weeks off during the month - 1 week when Ofsted arrived and the other for a holiday. And despite that I've essentially maintained which I think bodes well for the future!

Looking forward to losing a bit in November now!

This morning's WI: 14 st 2lbs exactly. So, that's 2lbs up from this time 2 weeks ago. But, I then had 2 UDs, 1 DD, then 6 UDs in a row, followed by my usual M, W, F DD pattern. Out of 14 days, that is only 4 DDs, so hardly surprising to see a small gain.

Carrying one next week with my usual pattern of M, W, F as DDs. I *will* see 13 something in the next couple of weeks if it kills me!!

Good luck for the upcoming week ;-)

Thanks!

I'm focusing on 'keeping going' at the moment. I seem to have been around this weight for a few weeks now and it's starting to annoy me, tbh. But, I know that if I keep going I will break through this plateau. I have to stay focused on the many positives. I've had 2 separate week off 'dieting' in 4 weeks and have not gained overall. A Good Thing. I can wear a pair of size 16 jeans. Another Good Thing. Running is going well. Also, a Good Thing.

I know if I persevere, the number on the scales will play ball eventually. Just got to keep going.

UD today with a run later on. I'm back on the treadmill in the week now as living in a rural area means running at night can be tricky. Treadmill running is not as enjoyable for me but I can really start to push my speeds and it's easier to do interval training, so that will be good.

DD tomorrow and Friday as usual. Just keep going.

Today's weight: 14st 2lbs. Same as Saturday's WI, so with 2 more DDs to go tis week, I should see a loss. Still 2 lbs to go to reach my lowest ADF weight of 14st 0lbs.

Not feeling very hopeful about tomorrow's WI. I have stuck to DD limits, exercised and had normal UDs. I *know* the scales will show a loss eventually - focusing on being patient.

My diary seems to be saying the same thing at the moment - I'm not losing weight! I am fasting, exercising and eating normally on UDs but haven't lost. This week's WI is 14st 2.5lbs. But, I reckon my average is lower than last week's so I need to keep going. I *know* from experience on this diet that the scales can just not play ball sometimes. But I also know that if I give it time, it will come good eventually.

OK, update on earlier post...I've been to the loo...today's WI is actually 14st 1.75lbs. So, that's just a 0.25lbs loss and still up from my lowest 3 weeks ago. But, I stand by everything I said in my previous post...this diet does do strange things on the scales and I'm not giving up.

Thanks - you're dead right :)

NSV - just been for a 7 mile run!

Well done! I'm cutting down to 5k and trying to improve my speed. I've found I can easily do 5k so wanna use this opportunity to go faster.... X
