frozen food question

i do my shopping once a week and i know that fresh is best. when buying fresh meat the use by date tends to be over within a few days. would it be ok to buy the meat then to freeze it and defrost it when needed.

yes thats what i do and im still alive in fact i always look at the bargain section in supermarkets and see whats reduced too and then freeze it. I couldnt face going food shopping every other day x

yep me too love my bargains but always freeze them on the day.i quite often use fresh/frozen meat pork chop for tea taken from the freezer today yum

Sure, I do it all the time, and I look for cheap fatty cuts of meat as well.
