gastric band hypnotherapy

Okie :) thanks ladies... Going to do that this afternoon after I've done some bits... It says not to exercise after for the day, do you think I could exercise before?
 
I wouldn't exercise.. Just take the time out to enjoy the experience, gather your thoughts, and prepare to start a new life where you eat to live, not live to eat. X
 
Watched the havening technique.. Now gonna listen track 1 and then install..

Should I install the band straight after listening to track 1 or the day after?

Ok band fitted.


And I had my first meal. I do feel full more quickly than I would have.

I'm a bit skeptic so I hope this proves me wrong.

I ate my lunch with the TV off and concentrated on my food.

When you eat fruit etc do you guys do the same? The book says not to eat and go but I normally do that with fruit...
 
I frequently eat in places other than at the table and with the TV on but if you do it without thinking you will feel it afterwards if you eat too much! So what I tend to do if I'm on the sofa with the TV on, I over concentrate on what I'm eating. For example, I had a cheese toastie for lunch with chilli sauce in it (yumm) and as I was in the middle of sorting out masses of washing I just perched on the sofa with it with the TV still on. So whilst eating it I concentrated on it and in my mind commented on the flavours, how nice the granary bread was, how the cheese had melted perfectly and how delicious the chilli sauce was and how it gave the toastie a nice kick. Basically, if in your head you are thinking about the food you are eating, even in a slightly OTT way, it does the same as if you were sat down at the table with the TV off

I can understand you being skeptic, as I still am...lol

But as for fruit, eat everything slowly and really take notice of every mouthful.. It is hard to do, but give it a try xxxx
 
Thanks taz. Really pleased. My weight loss was really slowing down so this is a nice boost.

I can see a real difference the way I'm eating for sure.

If I eat too fast or eat without thinking about the food I get gas lol anyone else notice that?

How often do you listen to the gastric band fitting? The book says at least once a month but I'm thinking of doing it once a week to keep on track..
 
I burp after eating everything now! Maybe I am eating too fast. I can be burping for an hour after eating. It amuses me unless I'm at work and one escapes while I am with a customer!

I have listened to it 3 times in 7 weeks and plan to listen again at the weekend. He does say that at least once a month is recommended but you can listen to it as often as you like. A lot of people listen to it weekly, some even daily! I would say do whatever you think you need. For me, if I feel that it's not working as effectively I will listen again

Really? Too much gas.. Yeah possibly taz. I feel really bloated if I don't concentrate on what I'm eating or eat too fast so try slowing down what you're eating and see if that helps. Drink peppermint tea as well. That really helps with the bloating so should help with the burping too.

Thank you for letting me know how often you listen to it. I'm at my mums and don't want to be go back to old habits so I will listen to it again tomorrow for sure. Just want to keep on top of it as I was so pleased with this weeks loss.

Thank you :) yeah I'm feeling good. I had a subway sandwich today and normally is polish off a foot long, with a packet of crisps and a bottle of diet coke easily... Today I had the 6 inch and was full up. And was SATISFIED! :)

well I'm not so much of a happy bunny... I only lost 1lb this week... So I sat down and went thru every last morsel I put into my mouth.. Then realised that it wasn't the food, but the drink... Not the demon drink I hasten to add, but simply lemonade and lime... Over the long weekend (5 days in my case) I drank approx 3 pints of it a day... Now a small glass of lemonade is approx 100 calories, so there's on average of 4 small glasses in a pint, not forgetting the syrupy lime cordial!..so at least an extra 1200.00 a day!....

So, here's hoping for a better week!.. And long gone is the lemonade and lime!.. What a wally I am x

Considering that, you did fab! A loss is still a loss x
 
Also, carbonated drinks will bloat you so 3 pints a day may take a while for any trapped gas to disperse.

I do have a peppermint tea every morning (I actually have one in my hand right now!) I don't know why I get so much gas but I know that it means it's working for me so it's all good :D

Lost 2lb this week and I'm happy with that :D
 
Hi there I'm considering having this done but not sure the best way to go about there is a lady that is a "hypno-band" licensed practitioner near me. So what I'm asking is have any of you heard of this? Would you recommend or do you think the Paul Mckenna one Is better aaarrrrggg decisions decisions............ Help xxxx
 
Ive never been to a 'live' hypnotist, and I am doing my new way of eating with Paul McKenna... I can only say that this has worked for me..I can understand people going to see a hypnotist, as they get to the root of why you overate in the beginning ..but I was just greedy..lol.
