I've been going to the gym for a while. My trainer has got me doing weights and then 30 mins cardio. I've been eaten mega healthy, grilling my chicken and veg etc. seeing no results what so ever. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Need to lose 25lbs xxxx

Depends how you measure progress, are you losing inches or toning up? Muscle weighs more than fat, so the weights might mean you lose fat but gain muscle that cancels out the loss on the scales. Yet you'd be far healthier if you've replaced fat with muscle? Has you body fat percentage changed? They should have measured this at the beginning. Other than that, our bodies can take a while to adjust. then the losses resume. You have 40lb off so far, which is a massive success. Have you shared your concerns with your trainer? What do they think?

Ah thankyou unfortunately i have gained alot after my break from xenical. I got down to a size 12, 154lbs so my dr took me off them. Since then I ballooned back up to 180lbs. So now starting all over again. I think I'm doing too much I'm the weight section.

Your still 28lbs lighter than you were before. It might be that you are doing to much weight training, but talk it though with your trainer. It might impact on the scales, but having more muscle will boost your metabolism, and mean your lovely and toned when you get closer to your goal weight. Somr think this can imporove the appearance of skin if you have alot to lose. You may have been lucky, but with big loses it can be hard for the skin to shrink as quick as what's underneath. Talk it through with your trainer. Make sure you're both happy with what you decide is the way forward. And best of luck.

That does make alot of sense actually. Thankyou very much. I think I may have to start measuring myself to see of I'm losing inches rather than weight. I think I'm going to cut the weight training down to 3 times a week. And do a bit more cardio. Thankyou again xx

Get some pictures of you now and use them to compare. You can even do it youself in a mirror. If you go onto mfp success stories, you can see some people who've done the 30 day shred etc and some do not lose weight, but you can really see they have lost inches and look fantastic.

Sorry, its on myfitnesspal.com. I started to use it when people here told me about it a few weeks ago. You can log your food intake and exercise easily. It also has forums. One of the forums is success stories, which can be quite motivational. You will need to register, but it really is completely free and actually very useful.

have you tried logging everything you eat and all the excercise down. myfitnespal is great cos it works everything out for you.

Hi what kcal level are you eating, cause if your not eating enough then the weight won't come off.. Also if you are eating to much your weight will be the same.. I just started a kettlebell class, and was so very hungry the next day I ate large amounts of toast.. Next class I asked the instructor about it and she suggested eating some protein and carbs within an hour of class, which I did and the big hunger cravings didn't happen.
