Hannah's journey continues

fabulous, enjoy your day! He will always be your 'baby' xx

Fab day thanks LadyT!

Been eating real food & drinking a little alcohol today. Won't torment you with the details. So let's hope I can get back on track tomorrow!!

Not tricky to work out how I became obese. I do love food SO much.

Let's hope I love being lean & trim more. So I can work hard to get back into ketosis and down to my goal weight. I do wish we got a credit for all the food we say no to. But no, just a gain for that which we do eat.

Got a big weekend to get through but think one planned lapse & one random lapse is enough for this week.

Great losses this week people - you inspire me!! Xx

Good luck getting bck on track, so pleased you had a good day. xx

Don't lapse people, getting back in the zone is really tough. This is my first 100% day since my binge on tuesday. Its tough as there is a lot of birthday type food and drink in the house, and there will be more tomorrow and we are having a family "do" to celebrate my son's 18th - again!

He slept from 6pm yesterday evening to 11.30 this morning when I woke him up to go to work!! Some night out they must have had.

I shall eat Lite food tomorrow, so planning the menu around that with others bringing desserts and so on so I dont have to think about them and have them in the house all evening. I'm home alone this evening so will probably be on here distracting myself.

Will be happy to stay the same this week!!

Hope you are all having a fabulous Saturday xx

Food shopping done - with loads of salad and veggies.

Decided to buy the french crusty carb sticks tomorrow - they will be fresher and not here talking to me from the kitchen all night!!

Never entertained on LL like this before - so many pitfalls to avoid. If I can do this I can do ANYTHING!! xx

Ooo. Sounds lovely hun. Room for another one lol. Xxx

Yes Juls, I will whizz you up a scrummy shake with loads of ice!!

And a champagne flute with sparkly water and LL fruits of the forest xx

Good luck with the entertaining, you can do it my lovely xx

Looking forward to hearing how the entertaining goes. This lighter life lite stuff is fascinating. They are right abstinence is the easy part.
Have fun x

My cunning plan is to serve chilli as the main event - I don't eat red meat or kidney beans so no temptation to avoid.

The wine, nibbles and desserts are another hurdle altogether!!

Have a fab Sunday everyone!! Will peep on here later - off to clean - a good vacuum cleaner workout to start the day. Xx

Cunning plan indeed, well done you!

***LOTS OF FOOD TALK BELOW***

A lovely day, with lovely company and food. I made wise food choices within the Lite limits, and stuck to fizzy water most of the day. I cut up lots of raw veg for dips and did huge salad bowl which allowed me to eat without looking like I was missing out. I did have a few mouthfuls of fizzy wine to toast, but skillfully avoided cake, quiche, bread and all sorts of naughty nibbles.

As usual I over catered and now have a fridge full of leftovers to avoid. I sent cake home with the children and have chucked some food out or in the dog's bowl.

I had lots of compliments about keeping the weight off and looking trim which was lovely.

I really felt for one on my son's friends who is now so overweight he avoids sitting on other peoples chairs for fear of breaking them. He sat on the stairs indoors, stood in the kitchen or sat on the patio steps and was very uncomfortable wearing a jacket in a hot garden. My garden is a bit of a sun trap in the afternoons.

The drinking went on until after midnight, when I decided to send the last few home in a taxi. My son was very sorry for himself indeed when he left for work this morning. I have a lovely clear head and am annoyingly chirpy!! Lots of recycling to go to the bottle bank later.

Hope everyone had a lovely sunny weekend and stuck to plan as much as possible. Will catch up on all the diaries later. xx

Well done that woman !

Feel for that lad, it's an awful place to be either when you are that big or when you are feeling that big. Heads can play funny games like that when it comes to weight.

Keep the faith.

Wow well done, you make it sound so easy and yet I guess there would have been some challenges throughout the day!

feel for the young lad but only he can decide to do something about it, my lad has a friend in the same position and just eats and eats he seems comfortable with it on the outside but I often winder if the inside is the same for him.

You rock Hun xx

Well done on keeping your head straight! It definitely is a big part of maintaining weight - knowing when to stop and how to avoid unecessary temptation... Like you, I very much love food too. :) I guess it's really all about learning to be 'normal' with it and having it in moderation (though, having said that, it's RIDICULOUS that I have to LEARN what normality around food is... sucks that it's not natural :( ). The main thing is not to let yourself ever feel 'deprived', so the veg sticks worked! I found that if I denied myself too much and not allowing any leeway - it did more harm than good in the long run. :)

Your poor son! Well done to him for going into work. I guess since it was his birthday it's excusable. Plus, it's better than it's at home, rather than god knows where, doing who knows what! I hope to be a relaxed parent in the future too. :) His poor friend, though... I so understand him looking uncomfortable and avoiding chairs... Reminds me of a time when I was about 16. I was extremely obese, about size 20-22. At school we were having a teacher's - parent day, and my English teacher had a scheduled session with my parents... For the lack of seats, she exclaimed - 'Here, have a sit on my glass table, the Principal (a fairly slim man) always sits on it and it's just fine!' ... so, I perched on it... 5 minutes later, CRASH! Right through the middle of the darn thing. ... SO EMBARASSING!!! I think I lived inside a huge black long coat too, even in the summer... as if a black tent would hide the bulge. ... Lol... Dearie me... Poor boy at the party. My heart goes out to him.

Gosh the table incident must have really stayed with you for a long time Minerva!! And I know the long black coat camoflage tactic too.

I remember being told in front of a group of giggling girls I was too heavy for a certain pony at the riding stables where I had a few riding lessons. It was bad enough having chubby thighs in skin tight jodhpurs!!

The rescuer in me wants to help him, he is only 19 and has his whole life ahead of him. I know I can't do that without embarrassing him, and his parents are both passionate eaters and drinkers!! Needless to say none of them have mentioned my weight loss.

We all have to make our own changes at a time we are ready to do it, and not because some well meaning person wants us to.

Being the hostess of the party gave me the freedom to chose the menu and to flit around making sure I spoke to, and topped up everyone. Nobody noticed how little I consumed myself!!

Has anyone done the 30 Day Shred DVD whilst on LL?

It looks tough but it is for only 20 mins per day.

I'm sure I've read about it on here somewhere but can't find the thread on the LL boards.

I'm a few pounds from goal, but really need to tone my belly and thighs.

Any advice would be great! xx
