Hello new weight loss blog :D

Yay well I had another good day yesterday :) am proud of me. I did go for a brie sandwich though rather than a healthier one yesterday :S which I am a bit annoyed about :( but overall I am happy.

Today I have grapes and a banana for breakfast :) am enjoying these grapes actually. Lunch... I was thinking a bagel with avacardo in it :) I have brought a bagel in to toast so i just need to get an avacardo from the market at lunch time.

I also wanna make this receipe for butternut squash soup I found in a magazine. It has low fat Creme fraiche in it which i think is an interesting idea... and ginger, garlic and onion, so i shall get the ingredients and try that either tmw or friday :) yum :)

ooh that soup sounds nice. make it for me :D :D i love butternut squash. i have one at home actually. i just don't have anything to have it with... ha. am wondering if it's still ok. have had it a while :S

Hehe, I've never bought one in my life before :S just cos i wouldn't know what to do with it :S but this recipe looks good and easy to do, so i wanna try.

I don't have a food processor though, I just have a blender, but that'll be ok wont it to make it thick? doesn't matter if it still has some lumps in it...

You used to make lots of interesting soups I remember :) What were the ones you liked?

i used to make carrot and coriander and cream of mushroom. i tried to make chicken and mushroom once but that was a disaster, ha. but that's my fault. my fave is veg soup though. i like bunging loads of veg in a big pan, boiling it all up with some potatoes and then whizzing it to make a really thick gloopy soup :D but you like brothy type soups with lumps do you not? i'm not a fan of those!! ha.

Yeah i've been fancying a vegetable broth type thing lately. Mum used to make it for us all when i was young, so it reminds me of this time of year :) But this butternut squash ones looks nice, so I shall experiment :)

Ah how do you do carrot and coridander then? you boil the carrots lots and then blend them with coriander? is that easy?

And how about the mushroom one? how do you get the mushrooms to have flavour?

it's that easy hon. with a nice veg stock too. and i think some people add onion or a wee bit of potato but not sure...

mushroom one was pretty much cream, mushrooms and herbs i think, but it's a long time since i made that...

Humm I think I'll look into some reciepes :) although once i've made this butternut squash soup we might want a break from soup for a bit, it's nice to space these things out :)

We like carrot and coriander soup tinned so that would be nice home made :D

Oh I am hungry!! only 10 minutes til my lunch break though, and I am off to the market for some veg :)

enjoy the market babes. you're so lucky to have all this so close. i'm miles from anything other than a mini-tesco!!

I used to have a fantastic recipe for pumpkin soup - I'll have to try and find that again before all the pumpkins leave the shops x

Oh that's given me an idea Gem :D Jamie did a really nice pumpkin curry one year... I think I'm gonna get one next week and carve it for Halloween and just hand the insides to him to make one again :D yum.

Sounds like a plan Bon. Pumpkins are yummy x

Yes they are, and he's been saying for ages he'll make one of his nice curries for tea :) So he'll have no excuses now :)

And it's fun carving it :)

i haven't really had pumpkin much. i think i've had it in risotto in a restaurant. i've certainly not made it myself.

Did anyone see the guy on GMTV who carved pumpkins to look like people - he did one of Simon Cowell - that's scary!!!!

Wow that's impressive! They are so hard to carve, I find it fiddley just cutting the triangle design most people use, I always want to do something more imaginative but then never do, ha.

This guy's selling them to a "well known store" and they go at £45 x

Morning :) well i think i've had a really good week :) buuut I've put on a pound :( am gutted!! But then i thought my 4 poound loss last week was rather amazing, ha. So that's spurred me on and i had a jacket tattie last night for tea and stopped myself getting some toast or something later in the evening when i felt hungry again. Eating before sleeping is not good!

I have the ingredients to make this butternut squash soup this afternoon :) Although I have to get some creme fraiche on the way home, am a bit concerned about that bit as i dont really like the stuff :S so i might see what it tastes like without it and not add it if its ok, ha.

I went on the Wii Fit last night :) I only did 15 minutes but it's better than nothing, i did some stretches and then skiing and then a short jog, which tired me out :)

I plan to go on it this afternoon for longer, since i finish early on Fridays i should have time after my bit of shopping.

Well so far I've had one chocolate bar every Friday, and only on a Friday kinda thing. But I don't fancy one today I don't think... I would rather wait til I have a craving for chocolate.

Well I have a bagel to toast with philly for breakfast and then i'll have poached eggs on toast when i get home i thinks :) Theeeeeeen home made soup for tea :D yum!

Pity about the pound but there's a whole week ahead to get rid of that rotten little squatter and some of its mates - Good luck with that x

hey babes. hope the soup was a success :D

forget the lb. you weigh yourself on the wii fit don't you? do you keep it in exactly the same place every time? the wii fits aren't always that accurate. if you feel you are eating well and you are being healthy then continue. the scales will follow :)

hope you are having a fab weekend.

abz xx
