helzzz's diary - 59.5lb lost, 15.5 to go!

Hey hun,

The shred left me unable to move for a couple of days so I haven't done it since Monday! :( I am feeling better today so may do it tonight.

On the positive side I measured myself yesterday in preparation for starting the shred. I've already lost 3 inches from under bust and have noticed that my 38E bras are a little big. My 36DDs fit around the back but the cups are too small. It's been years since I was a 36. I think (and hope) I'll be in a 34 by my birthday. :D

excellent news babes :D not on the aching. but on the measurements :D

i only lost 0.8 of a lb this week but at least it's going down and hopefully that means i'll get a bit of a whoosh this week :) we'll see. i'm 17st.5.6lbs now, so 5.7lbs to go until i'm 16st something for this wedding, ha. woo. can't believe i'm looking forward to being 16st something. but still. onwards and all that :)

i'm suffering a bit from the lack of happy right now. not sure why. think i've been a bit hyper today and crashed down off it so am currently trying to avoid the evil call of icecream :)

you guys should come over to dinner some time soon. let us know when you are free :)

Well I STS this week. It was totally deserved - in fact a gain would have been deserved too!

The week went well til Thursday when I decided I wanted fish & chips from the chippy. Had a horrendous headache & didn't feel up to cooking at all so I had them thinking it wouldn't be too bad if the rest of the week stayed on track. I didn't! On Saturday I discovered that I don't like smoked haddock - the smoked haddock that I had cooked made me feel sick after one mouthful. I couldn't eat my tea so I had philadelphia sandwiches and crisps (not a lot in apart from fish & I couldn't face fish). Then on Sunday I had the same for my lunch as I was still feeling sick. I also tried to persuade hubby to go out for tea last night but bless him he cooked me some 0syn quorn chicken pasta so I at least had one healthy meal. I also ate a lot out of my syn tin over the weekend! :( I think I went about 60 syns over for the week.

Anyway - it's a new week and I'm feeling positive. I want to lose 6lb in the next 4 weeks to be 13 something when I go to my friend's wedding. At 1.5lb per week (which has been my average since Christmas) it's totally doable.

The menu for the week is planned. I'm out at a friend's for tea on Wednesday but she's following weightwatchers and a veggie so I think that I should be fine with whatever she cooks. I'm also out at a conference on Saturday which is at a hotel with lunch provided. I'm not sure what the food situation will be but I'll just have to try to make healthy choices. I have 38 syns left to allow for the two meals out so I should be okay provided I don't go really silly.

Abz - well done on the loss. We will both get there, even if we're taking the scenic route some weeks. We can both do 6lb before the wedding. Oh and tea would be lovely at some point. Can't do this week but next week I'm more free.

sounds like you're back on track babes :D

i'm lagging behind by three stones... don't think i'm going to catch up any time soon... ha.

the race is on to the wedding!! we can do it!! 6lbs in four weeks is easy, right?

Hi all,

I don't know if it's the good weather or what but I'm feeling positive this week. I didn't stick to it on Monday and got Chinese but then cut back on my syns for the rest of the week so it would work. Other than that I've been 100% and eating lots of fruit & veg, even on green days so I think doing my fishy week with lots of extra easy has helped me to get my head round superfree if nothing else!

I've had the week from hell at work - finishing really late, starting earlier and lots of pressure when I'm there (much more than normal) so I've been really tired & headachy when I got home and I'm still managing to stick to it (with a bit of encouragement from hubby) so feeling proud of myself.

Last night I got the syn tin after tea and it's still sitting there unopened - I realised that I didn't need (or even really want) the chocolate so I didn't eat any! :D

Today's the test - I'm at a conference all day with lunch provided. I'm taking lots of fruit and some alpen lights with me just in case and will try to eat healthy choices.

Have a good weekend all!
x

well done babes :D

i'm expecting a sts this week. i haven't been really bad but not sterling either.

abz xx

Well I forgot my box of fruit but still managed. I had some ham, cucumber and coleslaw for starter and salmon with tomato sauce and a jacket potato for main and no dessert or biscuits with coffee. I also only drank tea and not mochas so I think the only syns I had all were the coleslaw. :D

Abz you can stil do well starting from now - we both still need to get that half stone off by the wedding! :p

WOOHOO!!! A 2lb loss!

I'm a tiny bit disappointed with myself - not for this week but for March in general. 2 weeks of STS means that I've not lost 6lb this month (only 5lb) which is what I've been doing since Christmas. I'm going to try to lose 7lb next month to average it out otherwise it's going to take me forever to lose.

This week's loss means I'm now a quarter of the way through my weight loss and am under 200lbs for the first time in a really long time :D I'm hoping to get to my 10% in the next couple of weeks too.

This week's food is planned until Friday - hubby's away this weekend on a stag do so there may be a girlie night but nothing's arranged yet. I'm going to see my Mum at some point so I'm not sure what meals I'll be having. However - I have 50 syns left to use at the weekend so should be okay even if we go out for a meal for mother's day.

Here's my plan for the week.

wow. you are doing so well. give me some of that please??

abz xx

I'm sending you positive vibes hun.

This week was going well til yesterday when I had a really depressing work day then came home to find that the sausages had gone off so phoned hubby to bring in some fish & chips. It's not the end of the world though - I'm now not going out for a meal for mother's day, we're having a roast dinner so the syns I was saving for Sunday have been used on fish and chips. I'll just have to be really good when I go out with the girlies for lunch tomorrow.

i am planning on one of their uber salads so it should be fine. i saw one pass me when we were there last time and thought 'cor blimey!!' so i'm up for that :D

Well, I lost 1lb!

Considering the fish & chips, lunch on Saturday (club sandwich & fries) and cheesecake and ice-cream on Sunday I think I did quite well. I'm determined to get at least 1lb off this week to get my 1.5stone award but 2lb would be even better as I'll get my club 10 which feels like it's been a really long time coming.

I don't know how easy it will be this weekend as I think we're going to the in-laws and it's not easy to eat healthily there as they have really small portions for meals but then lots of cake afterwards! I have in the past taken some soup or pasta n sauce with me to have instead of their tiny lunches; it makes me feel really cheeky but desperate times and all that. We probably only stay about 6 times a year so it's not the end of the world. It's also highly probable that we'll go out for lunch on Sunday so I'll need to try to make really healthy choices.

Hubby is taking me out for tea tonight as he's been away at a stag weekend so I've hardly seen him for a week. I haven't written out a meal plan as such but I know I'll make quorn lasagne tomorrow with McCains rustic chips the whole meal will be about 5 syns. I always make a big portion so we'll have the same on Wednesday. Thursday I'm on my own so will probably be tuna pasta mayo for 2 syns. Friday I'm going to make ham and pea tagliatelle for 2 syns. Lunches will be some form of pitta sandwiches all week which are 2 or less syns each plus a HEB depending on the fillings. I make that 25 syns up to Friday which leaves me 80 syns for tonight and the weekend. I should be okay as long as I don't give in to cake temptation (I might take some alpen lights with me to help)

Here's to a good week for us all. X

well done on the loss babe. i've gained a lb over the last couple of weeks... i was expecting much worse, so hopefully i'll get back on track this week. i have a need for soup at the mo so i may look into making some interesting ones :)

1lb off for me this week. I was disappointed at first as I thought I'd been really good apart from my off plan meal on Monday at Frankie and Benny's.

I'd not properly written everything down last week - just kept things in my head. I've filled in last week's meal plan and it turns out I havd about 130 syns PLUS pizza, chips & hot chocolate on Monday - probably over 200 syns for the week. It's scary how much you can eat without even realising it. Last night I had some sandwiches last night with white bread - not thinking they'd be much, it turns out that with the sandwiches, crisps & chocolate I ate 51 syns in one meal alone!!! Who would have thought that they could be so bad for you!?!?!

It's reinforced the need to write everything down at the start of the week and all the way through so I consider this my smack on the bottom and lesson learnt.

Anyway - a new week is upon us and I've managed my half stone target that I set myself by the wedding (one more WI to go before my friends' wedding). I'm now setting myself a target of 2lb this week to get me past my club 10 and into the 13 stones!

The food is planned and written out this time. I'm off to the inlaws this weekend but probably only for Saturday tea and Sunday breakfast and lunch so hopefully won't be too bad. I'll take some cereal bars and muller lights for if I need them.

Here's my diary up until then. I'll obviously add a few syns in for treats along the week but I want to use no more than 60 syns by the time I arrive at the inlaws to give me a 45 syn buffer which should be plenty.

well done on the lb loss babes :D

thanks for the izzy watching :)

so jealous of your half stone already but i will get there!! ha.

abz xx

You will get there Abi - you're on the right track. You're welcome for the Izzy-sitting. Only problem is I have really achy bum & legs after all the pram pushing I did! :p

I'm having a good day so far. Went to town for my next bracelet charm :D and walked past McDonalds and Greggs without being tempted (they're normally 2 of my biggest weaknesses). Feeling confident for a good week; hopefully the motivation will continue.

sounds good :)

have just done the biggest loser wii game again. not sure my thighs will ever be the same again, ha. it's perfectly doable but i'm doing the shortest stint you can and i'm still all sweaty and out of breath. in fact, so is thomas after doing the same thing which is fab to see :D

good luck with this week babes.

This week has been going well so far. I'm overworked and over-tired resulting in my second migraine in the last fortnight (it always happens if I don't get enough sleep) but still managing to keep up with SW. We did have fish & chips on Tuesday but I thought about it and decided that I really wanted it so I'd not have syns for the next 2 days to make up for it so I went to the chippy. I don't feel guilty as I thought about it before hand and I've made up for that with no syns Wed / Thu and so far I've eaten 62 syns this week so only 2 syns more than I should have eaten 4 days into the week and I'm happy with that. Plan is to not eat any syns tomorrow to give me a weekend buffer.

We're going to the in-laws Saturday - Sunday. Normally I find lunches difficult there (tends to be a tiny sandwich and then lots of cakes, either that or pasties) but planning on going after lunch on Saturday to make things a little easier. Normally Saturday dinner is either quorn spag bol or chicken stew so I can cope with that. Hubby phoned up his Mum tonight who said that they were thinking of having fish & chips done in the deep fat frier on Saturday!!!!!

:argh:

Hubby's too nice to tell them directly that we don't want it so he made some comment about how we'd already had fish & chips this week and that I might find it a bit difficult to figure out the syns for the meal. Not sure if the message has got through or not as she was making comments about how the chips aren't really unhealthy ???? I wouldn't mind but my mother in law really upset me last year by looking me up & down and telling me I need to lose weight. She knows I'm doing SW but then still tries to feed me really unhealthy food. :banghead: There's also plans for us to go out for a meal on Sunday somewhere - hopeully I can make some healthy choices then. I'm going to be really annoyed if my week is sabotaged because of going to stay with them!:badmood:

Sorry - I needed to rant and hubby isn't the right person to rant to!

oh babes. ring me and have a good rant!! you have lost so much, you are looking fabulous, you looked fabulous and had lost loads when she said it last time, and this time you've taken it even further. just ignore her. she's bad for your blood pressure :D

could you not take one of your frozen things that you've made yourself? that way if they have chips you could just defrost one? it's not like she can complain given that she's so critical? not that this would necessarily stop her, but logically... ha.
