Hi all, Starting again

Hi all, Im back after doing this 3 yrs ago. I lost 5 stone but things happened and I managed to put it all back on. I now know I am a comfort eater!

I am ok doing this diet as I know it works and am lucky to have a mindset that suit it. My problem will be coming off it as I have a will of iron on it and am useless off it.

To be honest I would be happy to do it forever as I find food a real issue, not having any self control. I like the fact that all decisions are made for me and I cant cheat. I weigh nearly 19 stone and intend to get to 10 stone by Xmas. Then i'm thinking I will do a two shakes and one meal a day thing.

I have been waiting a month to start this and started on the 1st Jan. So excited to get rid of this bulk..

I really noticed how it affected my life loosing it quickly then putting it back on. All the things I could do, even just moving about. How much better I felt. So if nothing else the aches and pains and problems I have at the moment will keep me on it.

I look forward to sharing this journey with you all and getting to know you .

A Happy and slimmer new year to everyone

Hello :) Best of luck to you on your journey, Sounds like you're in the right mind set.

I feel the same about when the time comes to come off this, but there is great support on here and many have done it before me and succeeded. Its all about stabalizing slowly, weening off the packs until we learn what and how to eat sensibly. I know some swithc to Weigh Watchers and have kept the weight off. Im a lazy cook, and would probably do brilliant if someone cooked all my meals for me! I neevr know what to cook or healthy things, or the ingredients are too fancy for me to spell let alone buy! But it's time for change and thats why im here now :) Im going to lose the weight, and then more importantly, Im going to learn how to sustain a new slimmer, healthier happy me. You will too :) xx

Hi - I think I'm similar to yourself. I lost quite a lot about 2 1/2 years ago and now I'm heavier than I've ever been - was definitely getting to the stage where I didn't want to leave the house in case someone saw me. Aches and pains and being out of breath is very noticeable at the moment so I'm looking forward to getting rid of those feelings. Good Luck and I hope I find a will of iron too :) x

Good luck ladies! I started on on 2nd January and forgot to weigh myself so I did it this morning and realised that I am heavier than I though I was by almost 1 stone. Eek, that's Christmas for you! I am on the total solution and my short term aim is to lose 2 stone by the end of February which I think is very achievable, after that I think I will go on to the working solution until I am at my goal weight. I might stay on the stabiliser forever to keep the temptation of goodies away!

I haven't beat the hunger yet, my keto sticks are due to arrive today so hopefully tomorrow I will do what I need to do on it and it will bring me joy and the hunger will stop.

P.S. I do not have a will of iron so you are one step ahead of me already :)

i do not have will power either and i too will consider staying on the stabilisation phase forever! how do you know when you are in ketosis? i too have ordered ketostix! x

Signs of Ketosis can be smelly breathe, Check! Some get a headache, tiredness, not sure what else. Good luck everyone, we deserve to feel as happy about ourselves as we can be, and we will be xx

Might be TMI but my wee definitely smells different when in ketosis, it's quite pungent actually!!

And very much agree with the smelly breath, drinking plenty of water helps though.

Re-starting too!

Hi All,
i am restarting too, I have put back on 2 of the 5 stone I lost a couple of years ago. After losing 5 st I was so happy and easily fitting into size 16. Bliss.
But I never got below 12st 10lbs which was a shame but to be honest I would be happy initially just to get back to that over next few months. I have that as my target weight & my upcoming 15th wedding anniversary photos that I would like to look my best in as a motivator!!
I am the same with food, I love cooking & baking, have a million cookbooks, pretty obsessed really but it's one of life's great pleasures I think. I just have no off switch on my appetite & I will eat til every scrap is gone so the way the diet works for me is setting me free of my appetite, I honestly feel liberated while sticking to the diet as I don't have to think about what I'm going to eat.
im on day 4 today and have pounding headache & feel terrible but I know I will feel ace tomorrow!
I'm sure we can help each other on our journeys, especially when we have those times when our resolve weakens. I know sometimes I'll spend all day debating with myself whether to fall off the wagon, especially on a weekend when it will ruin the week's weight loss. So if you can give me a pep talk on those days I'd be most grateful!
Good luck everyone! I know we can do this together!

Hi Shortly! :)

Best of luck on your journey hun, We will do it xx
