IMGA0471.jpg

serves 4 FREE ( i drizzled 1 tsp honey for 1 syn )
1/2 tub quark
2 vanilla muller light
1 sachet gelatine or 2 leaves gelatine
sweetner to taste
vanilla essence/extract
1 egg white

mix quark and yogurt together, with sweetner and vanilla essence. Dissolve gelatine in 3 tbsp hot water and let cool, when cool add to the mix.
beat egg white and fold in to the mix
divide mix between 4 moulds and set in fridge for a few hours or overnight.
to release from moulds place in boiling water for 30sec to 1 min and then turn out.

I served mine with drizzle honey and blueberries.

It would also work well with any flavour yogurt that you like. cherry or strawberry would be good, actually any flavour i think...

Lentil soup

001-22.jpg

1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
3 carrots, chopped
3 sticks celery, chopped
170g red lentils
veg stock cube
Worcestershire sauce
salt and pepper

Soften onions, garlic, carrot and celery in frylight.
add lentils and stock cube and add some boiling water to cover.
Cover with lid and simmer until lentils are soft and quite mushy. You may need to keep adding water to it. ( also depends how thick a soup you like when blitzed) season and add worcestershire sauce to your own liking

Oh good thread, Honey.

I have questions about

Is this syn free on green?
Is it good?
Would it make a good Christmas dinner?

Yeah everything in it is FREE on GREEN. hubby and I liked it :)

It is the sort of thing that would make a good Xmas dinner to go with all the other xmas dinner trimmings.

Just made broccoli and blue cheese soup to have for lunch tomorrow and it's lovely (I had to taste it :p) Thanks for the recipe :D

Quorn Ham, egg and SW chips

003-10.jpg

Slimming World chips

It took me a while to get them right, but i have it sussed now.
I use smaller potatoes about 3 depending on how hungry i am ( rather than a jacket potato size) (and i just use Tesco white potatoes)

I DO NOT peel mine, i found they just broke up too much ( and the skin is good for you)
I par boil for a couple of minutes, i DONT rough them up in the pan. I heat the oven to 200c and also pre heat the tray too.
drain the potatoes and let dry for a moment,
Spray the tray with frylight then tip potatoes on and spray them too, sprinkle with salt and cook for 30 - 40 mins or until crispy

Have since bought a chip basket from Poundland and thoroughly reconmend them. really crispy chips

Have also been making BNS chips too, and thought about making carrot and parsnip chips too. All with same method

Do you heat up your quorn ham or have it cold with your hot meal?

Do you heat up your quorn ham or have it cold with your hot meal?

With ham egg and chips I have it cold, like you would meat ham.
When i use it for the carbonarra it heats up with the sauce.

The ham egg and chips is my favourite lunch :)

Thanks for starting this thread honey - its really useful, all your recipes look great so i am getting some imspiration whilst planning my next few days meals! I'm going to try the rosti pizza and the rice pud this week.

For the rice pud, are the syns from the milk? So if you used milk from hexa, would it be free on a green day?

Glad your liking them :)
Yes the syns for the rice pudding are from the milk, so if using some of your HEA it would indeed be FREE :)
