Total Solution Hoping to be a flab free 40!

Am still feeling pretty good... The traipsing to the toilet every 5 mins has died down somewhat too :) definitely enjoying the control, something that's been lacking in the last couple of years! That awful feeling of spiralling out of control yet gaining comfort from treats...
Obviously the weekend will be a test but have decided my OH will eat with the girls as normal and I'll take myself off for a bath.
Trying to have breakfast at 11, lunch at 3 (just before school run) then dinner at 7ish once the munchkins are in bed... So far, so good!
Roll on porridge time :)

I agree!! I may just have to put everyone on a diet of bland white bread and water! I'm sure they'll adjust!
Thanks mate :)

I am just desperate for cup of tea with milk, gonna have a coke zero instead! There is a thread on evrruthing that is ok to drink!

Ooh that would be lovely!! And I'm not even a tea drinker! Yes i saw that thread - brilliant eh was so happy when i saw that! Am currently supping a dr pepper zero :)

The weekend is here... Bit apprehensive but so far so good! Packed the OH off to trampolining with the girls - just couldn't face it! Felt v weak when I got up. A pint of strawberry water and two black coffees later and am a bit better :) weighed again! Eek! Couldn't help it! Have lost 7lb now so something to keep me going :)
Going to try and hold off on the shake till lunchtime... Spending the morning doing housework (yawn) then getting 'thin' clothes out the loft for some motivation ;)

Scales where not as favourable only 3 lb , boo?

Not boo at all juliebags! You probably wouldn't lose that in a week calorie counting... And we're only half way through the week! Am sure come WI day you'll be super chuffed!
My loss might be due to the fact I started exante the 2nd day of my totm so it's v possible my starting weight was heavier than usual due to that? Keep going mate... Those pesky lbs will drop off :)

hi all,
my first 3 days on TS were nice and easy...today i cheated by eating a yorkie choc biscuit bar :( frick. so annoyed at myself. i have ordered complete shakes for the whole month as i have found i dont like the soup nor the bars...they should arrive by tuesday.

Hello Random.

I saw your post. You say you 'need' to loose weight. That's very different from wanting to shed the weight.

I'm probably not the right person to comment as I'd give my eye teeth to be 11stone right now.

I recommend you think about what happened and why it happened. Are you really committed to this? If so, write out your reasons (in the positive, not the negative) and when you are done, go back and write some more. Get to 60 or more reasons. Then read them daily to remind yourself why you are going to say no and not have stuff that's not on your programme.

Sorry to be tough and sorry to hijack your thread, SarahLou.

I think everybody has a different reason to lose weigjt, whether it be to be healthy or to fit into tjeir clothes, lets all face it none of these vlcd are a healthy way to diet, to lose weight in short space of time is not going tp change the reason we all got fat in the first place, but whst is important is that we all give each other encouragement to make those steps.

You are so right, Julie. Support and encouragement is vital.

Vlcds may not be ideal. I decided that I wasn't sure I'd stick to any other programme for the period required to get to a healthy weight, so doing one with monthly blood tests, blood pressure monitoring weekly and GP supervision was the safest way. Walking around 10stone overweight probably has more risks.

YoYo weight loss and regain is also high risk. If we do not address the reasons why we are a few stone or ten stone+ overweight, then we probably will not make the changes in how we organise our lives, think about food and will regain.
