Hey guys. I haven't updated in a while so I thought I'd let you know how I was getting on. I weighed myself this time last week (having done 2 weeks of induction) and I'd lost about a stone, which I was very pleased with
I'm not sure if I'm seeing any changes in my size yet, I don't have a tape measure - really need to get hold of one! Unfortunately though, I've had a bit of a bad week this week (I had planned to stay on induction). On Monday a friend cooked for me. I haven't told people I'm doing atkins, and the meal included a large serving of potatoes which I ate, largely out of politeness. Then on Tuesday a big group of us were going for a bar crawl. We went for some food first, and I had a mixed grill which was really nice. It came with a jacket potato on the side which I wasn't going to touch, but I ended up eating a little bit of it. Then on the bar crawl itself, I had planned that I was just going to drink vodka/diet coke all night, and not have a drink in every bar. But then I got to a bar which didn't have diet coke, so I ended up getting vodka/lemonade, then as the evening progressed, people kept buying me shots of very sugary drinks which I kept drinking! So in the end I ended up having at least on drink in every bar, including lots of very sugary ones! The rest of the week though, I went back to being good. Having said all this, I weighed myself this morning and was pleasantly surprised to find that although I hadn't lost this week, I didn't gain anything either. (Does this mean when I get to maintenance I might have a relatively high ACE?)
I'm going to carry on with induction for a little while I think, the only thing I've added is caffeine. Also, with it being pancake day on Tuesday I've kind of already accepted that I'm going to cheat, but rather than beat myself up about it, I'm just going to have my pancakes, not eat too many of them and not go too overboard by having sugary toppings, then on Wednesday I'll properly start back on induction, with no more cheating!
