IF AT FIRST YOU DON'T SUCCEED, try try try again and again (and again...)

Sorry Vicky - I thought you said you drank 5L last week when we talked about it? (I'm always thirsty but have been tested several times for diabetes, and I'm not diabetic...)

Oh sorry... I thought I'd mentioned my problems in my office. I used to share a 2 person office with someone I didn't get on that well with. The office was tiny; we were on top of each other; and she spent a lot of time on the phone which drove me to distraction. When they reshuffled offices, they moved us together into a four person office. One quickly went on maternity leave, and we've been three since. The third, a "friend" of mine thinks I did something I didn't do - and I can't prove it because I didn't do it - and so has taken umbrage. We've not spoken in five weeks (except for obligatory work-related stuff) and, to be honest, I don't want to know now. If friendships can go that way, I don't need them. We were "friends" and I went to her wedding. So since it's been the three of us. Great!

i probably do drink about 4-5 litres of fluids a day just not all water.
Oh Jo i remember you mentioning re the 'friend' taking offence at something you didnt do.
Its awful when work is like that - i hope this new secretary lightens the mood slighty??

It definitely helps having someone to talk to, haaaaa!!

I'm just looking out for number one hereonin... keeping out of trouble, and refusing to play at playground stuff!

<can't believe that I've just tomorrow, then Wed am... then off the rest of the week!>

oh you lucky thing. do you a menu for where you going on thursday or friday? you know i love my menus x

I'll pm you... re Thursday (cos very specific address etc on it...)

Ref Friday - errr... we're going here:
Biscuits.Fr

Click on "téléchargements" at the bottom middle, then "Catalogue complet"... you can taste anything and everything while there... hmm...

omg JO - the biscuits and cakes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! there is no way on this earth you will be able to resist is there?

Nope... but I am restrained at being in public and not wanting other people seeing me being a pig... (although very tempted to set off a smokey device, empty the place, and snuffle my way round all the little baskets tasting everything!)

Thanks to not being in ketosis, I can calorie count it... if I can count that high? Wanna come?

Wow, that's quite a selection. Good luck in getting through them, Jo;). Very reasonably priced though which is not good! Am tempted to order some regional specialities, have bookmarked the site and will get some nearer Christmas maybe.

Is your country place in dept 21 then? I have a friend who is from Dijon (well the outskirts, although she lives here now).

Bet the fact that you don't like wine doesn't go down too well with the locals? Bit like me refusing the (home-made) pastis *shudder* always gets disapproving looks.

will you be buying anything???? will you try some in public?

I would like to come and have :-

Batonnets

Coricos
Maxi Rochers coco aux pepites de chocolat
Mini quatre-quarts cacao

Macaroons for me and some of those chocolate crepe things!

They come in lovely sturdy boxes too, and only 2 months' sell by date for most. Make good extras for Christmas!

Yes Robin, 21... an hour from Dijon though... We're more in crémant country, bordering on the Champagne region, and fortunately I do like that!

I could just order... and pay the delivery charge... but it's a beautiful country drive... I shall taste a couple. My favourites only.

Mmm 2 months sell by date - best all scoffed at once then:D Are you in France for Christmas Jo?

and jo which ones are your favourites? i struggled when i saw cheese..........

p.s. my dinner is dukan friendly tonight (well maybe apart from the sour cream) ;)

Chocobeurre for me, and dark chocolate coconut for the other half!

I'll be in England for Christmas... much harder dietwise than here as the French don't really bother the same way. A big meal on 24th evening, a roast on 25th and that's about it. Very low key much to our surprise when we stayed here one Christmas and got to the supermarket at opening time (8.30am) on Christmas Eve and were the only ones in the carpark (my sister had texted us 3 hours previously having finished hers overnight and told us about the queues in the middle of the night in Tesco!)

Mine too... I'm doing 2 x PPs for my sins...!

Mine is PV but still im impressed its dukan friendly. :D no cheese today - trying to cut it down a bit.:D
who is cooking dinner here for you Jo?

Who's cooking my dinner? Me! (Who else?!)
